My 10 month old son and I watch your videos so often, he has started waving at you . Ha!
The only thing I'd add, which I feel like you somewhat touched on is #SelfAwareness. Knowing yourself helps process what you experience.

I think a lot of people don't realize they really need to invest in a mentor to shorten the learning curve. I used to keep myself isolated! "I can do it by myself Mommy!"
But a mentor on your team is one of the keys I found that have helped me get what I want. (And surrounding myself with people who have belief in me too!)
I adore your style! So glad you showed up in my suggested videos!

Tina Grzeczkowski it depends on what kind you want. 😍 Amy is a mentor for business vlogging. I am a Slimdown mentor. There are SO many amazing mentors that you can connect with if you know what you want to learn.

Bronwen - Real n' Slim Since I don't know what I want to do just yet, I've had a run with two life coaches already and those experiences were not exactly all that I thought they'd be quacked up to be. I guess then my real question here should be where do I find a GOOD one? 😳

    • @bronwenoehlschlager1507
      @bronwenoehlschlager1507 6 лет назад +1

Tina Grzeczkowski Good point. I study people for a while before hiring them. Do they specialize in what I need help with? What kind of results are they getting from doing the things they teach?
If I need help with marketing I study how they market to see if I feel like it fits me.
And did they make their first million doing what they teach?
      Talk with their past students.
You can ask for a list of references to message for real feedback.
All worth the trouble to make sure you pay for what you really need.

Omg! Your videos are amazing! Exactly to the point! I’ve been there to all those stages that you’re talking about and I can honestly say everything you’re saying is right to the point.
I decided to pursue a new career when I was 27. I had to learn a new language and move to another country and now I am 32 and graduating and working for free. The journey is difficult but full of rewards. I love my new job and my boss loves my work. I am currently working on my graduation project and have an idea for my own business. I am so grateful for everything, even for the difficult times and I’ve learned so much. Going out of my comfort zone was the best thing I did!
Thank you for sharing your thoughts! They are my thoughts :)

In life, you need to do the things you want the way you want. Having my own online marketing business is what I really wanted to do the moment I realized that this is for me. I made a quick decision to jump into affiliate marketing because of the learning and growth never end. After a while, it is not what I want anymore, I learned to love it. Until one day, I decided to create my channel so I can be an eye-opener to all that this stuff is amazing and that they will learn to love it too. This is the life I want and I am thankful because I enjoy every bit of it. Thanks for sharing this, Amy!

And to you, Rachel I want to tell you that I do appreciate all your efforts to help us (beginners) to succeed in affiliate marketing. I am learning a lot of things. It really is amazing how you reached the success you have now. I hope someday I can also be an inspiration like you.

Love these. One more I'd add is gratitude. In the pursuit of the life we want, we may have unexpected things happen to us and can make us feel hopeless about our efforts up to that point. Without gratitude, it is very easy to get stuck even with clarity, belief, your word, the lesson and celebration.

Excellent video! And yess, I agree with "self care" that someone said below. It's OK to stop before you become burnout and useless lol (not just to celebrate). Because pauses allows us to get to know better both ourselves + what we have to offer!

I am a new viewer, I don’t normally comment on Videos, but I felt like I needed to tell you that you are awesome . You do an amazing job at inspiring and explaining what you are talking about. I am definitely going to keep watching. I just turned 42 and accomplished my goal of raising my son who is now 19, but that leaves me open to work on my goal of an amazing retirement so I am in the process of getting clarity on what that looks like for me. I appreciate you making these videos because it helps give me some guidance. Thank you Amy 😊

First, I'd like to say I LOVE the hair color! You look good, Amy! And second, these are great values and practices everyone should learn to master. They all go hand in hand, and you are right you can't go from one place to another without having clarity, belief in yourself, act on your word, learn your lesson (the mistakes and the success of it), and celebrate it (small or big wins). Overall, as always very inspirational video, Amy!

It seems I have cracks in my understanding and you have this ability to fill-in some of these crevices and canyons with knowledge and experience that reaches both side of the chasm and bring them together.
Then, that seems to create something like a step. Because now that I respond differently, making different choices, I reap a different life.
I then have new crack, unknowns, lacks of insight or information, because it is all new territory. Then, repeat💪🏼
    Thanks Amy🦋🏅

    Hi Amy, Great lesson :)
I would like to add that you need a PLAN. It can be flexible... no... It MUST BE flexible. It serves as the link between clarity of the goal or future state you seek and the lessons you learn.
It's amazing the number of times when we get to the all too often dreaded "Lesson" part that we ask ourselves, "What was I thinking?!" The PLAN will truthfully answer you. By adjusting your 'flexible' plan, you can incorporate your lesson. Then the next time you seek that awesome totally amazing goal or future state, you just might have a much better more realistic plan or two (complete with lessons learned) to build from.
You, yourself, have built routines (or standard work) and relayed it on to us and those are great (and inexpensive) lessons and thank you for those. Please do not stop. But, then you continue to learn--> maybe a better, simpler way; a different way with more impact; or there's some new technology that enables us to achieve more with less. Whatever the change, customer feedback, or lesson, we'll need to incorporate those shifts by ADOPTING a new routine, EVOLVING our standard work, and most likely ADJUSTING our plan.
Besides 'luck,' this is usually one of the most effective ways (besides watching your videos or reading your book :) that we can learn, grow, and fulfill our clear visions time and time again.
Always digging your approach and your content. Please keep on doing what you do.
OH. And congrats to you and the Mister!
    Dennis

At the part of others thinking you should not do what you want to do; I thought of those in my past who did not just reject the fact that God called me to preach, but went about to prove God did not call me to preach; and it occurred to me that their unbelief is due to their worshiping a god that is limited by man's inability, rather than worshiping an omnipotent God that can do, despite man's inabilities!
What a revelation that is and explains why Jesus so often rebuked the disciples saying, "Oh ye of little faith"!

Clarity and focus- being able to turn on your blinders to other possibilities seems to be the a common trait those who have received what they want have done. They zone in on the marathon training, the product they are selling, etc. for the time period leading up to what they get. They sacrifice in other areas to focus.

All of them are so true, believe is one of the hardest one for a lot of us. To keep going when things get tough and to not listen to our brains when they doubt us as well. But slowly we start having trust in ourselves and that´s when the beauty begins.

Ummmm....rewarding with Tacos is legit. Tacos are ALWAYS a good idea to celebrate with. Love this video...if there would be anything I would add, it would be surround yourself with people who support you. Not everyone will, some might say "ummmm you want to be a filmmaker? In North Dakota? Do you think that will actually happen?" But I have that circle who do support me and I hold onto them tightly because sometimes you need that reminder that you aren't crazy. Oh and tacos...

Also need a support team! There will be the negative Nellies, so you need a coach, a friend, a mentor, anyone who has gone where you want to go and achieved success. Even if it’s just a stack of self help books! Find those people! There’s no such thing as self-made. Every successful person had someone(s) encouraging, supporting or educating them along the way.

Amy love your work and I can see how you have grown so much over the years I have been following you. Great advice, I really need to work on clarity and all of them really. My biggest problem is getting the deadlines done on time when technology puts me behind. For instance the video will not upload to RUclips and it takes you many times to get it done. How do stay on target with deadlines when outside sources come against you? Thanks for your help.

Rewards: no matter how evolved we think we are, our brain works like a dog’s brain. How do you best train a dog? With rewards. Most immediate reward, for those small accomplishments, like finishing a paper and stuff, is a smile. According to neuroscience, the voluntary or involuntary movement of face muscle we use to smile, instantly fire a chemical reaction that is to our brain what the “good boy!!!” is for the dog.
For big accomplishments, I suggest massage and for really, really, really big stuff, a full day at the SPA. 🍾

Here's my two cents to the "What else have I missed?" question: A desire to cut away the dead weight that drags you down or holds you back. So, cut out the negative people that say you can't do it. Cut out the bad habits that steal your time and energy. Etc, etc.
