This is the first training / demonstrating video where I've seen the importance of RE-TORQUING after the cable has been put under load. Marvelous catch on your part, thanks.
Easily the finest presentation style I've seen in all covid months learning everything on You tube. Beautiful, fun, noir! Man is my home town uuuuuugllleeeee!
Decent explanation but it could have benefitted from a decent look at what you're talking about, rather than the quick glimpses. Would have made things a lot clearer. Just saying. Even a picture of, this what I'm saying and this is what it would look like would add a lot of clarity.
Thanks for the feedback. The intention was a quick explanation, but your point is spot on. In future videos, even for quicker ones, we will make that happen.
It would have been useful to see how to use the torque wrench. I think this is where many technicians go wrong only using a ratchet or nut driver. They just don't know how and why it's the correct piece of equipment.
@@thechicagoflyhouseinc1865 Along with that - consider a correct assembly except for *over* tightening the nuts like most people without a torque wrench probably do. This answers how much the cable can be damaged by really cranking down on the clips / u-bolt nuts.

Glad you enjoyed it!
Oh, got it.... the saddle of the clip. Thanks this was very help
A good way to remember is you never saddle a dead horse.

I'd love to see pull test videos of cables with the saddle on the dead end, but everything else done properly.
That is a great idea. We will add it to our list of possible future topics!

What is a saddle width?
You can’t see anything up close
It would be nice if you actually showed the cable instead of just talked about it…wasted video
