Bring back the 90s man .. absolute golden time . Zero social media and you had to meet up with mates in bars or pool halls . Now it’s all chat rooms . I’d take the 90s any day .

The 90’s were the last great decade - we’ll never have it this good again and I’d go back in a heartbeat. It’s shit being an adult, responsibility is an absolute con.
It was a beautiful and poignant song back when it was released, even more so now in 2023 we're all a little older and wiser but we still hope for that rainbow to come and take us away from the noise.😢❤

One of my all time favourite songs. Thank you so much lads for wonderful music in my youth. I listen to this regularly still. Honestly my heart is warming up .

@@danielestupinan2036 I absolutely agree and that's what I actually meant to say with my comment. Songs like this one were played on the radio and on television, and got in the charts alongside music from other genres. You don't see that anymore unfortunately.
Sitting in the house on a cold Sunday morning during Lockdown Feb 2021 looking for tunes & stumbled across this & many more classics from the 90s Stay Strong Troops 🏴
Loving all the positive comments on here about Shed Seven. Just love this band. Absolute gentlemen. Their music is great. And they're getting better all the time. Thank you Rick and Co for making the 90s/ early noughties great. I do remember though after a gig of yours I attended in Hull in 2001 that I was deaf for a week 😂.
This brings me back to middle school, man I can swear that I can recall even the smells of that period of my life when I listen to this song. What a fucking great era it was, brilliant music everywhere.

The lads are still doing it now , honestly hats off to em , young man’s game but went in nov first time in 7 years and they treated me like gold … will always be my closest mates

I still have goosebumps from hearing this at Wythenshawe Park yesterday. As Rick said at the start of the set “We brought the rain!” Nobody cared, and this was an epic finale to a great set…..
I never knew much of Shed Seven's music, unfortunately, but this song blew me away, and still does. It's such a stunning, beautiful, powerful song and almost makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up it's so good! This, along with Mary's Prayer by Danny Wilson (from the late 80s and another stunningly beautiful song), Drowning In The Sea of Love by The Adventures, Those First Impressions by The Associates (with the stunning vocals of Billy MacKenzie - rest in peace Billy), etc, from those years were so underrated compared to some of the other music then. To have even one such brilliant song in any of those bands' armouries would have been something to be massively proud of! Great music always stands the test of time and those songs still sound amazing decades after they were released.
Very underrated band of the 90s. We were spoiled in the 90s tho for great bands and artists like this!! BRIT POP ERA!!! I always view the 90s as my 60s I.e. the 90s is the 60s but just upside down hehe!! Real musicians. Real talent, time machine please!!
Been listening to this song for years, and just bought Going for Gold on vinyls, hope my mate from Uni 'Spewesy' reads this - we had some great times listening to the Sheds back in the day, saw them at Nottingham Rock City about 96/96 IIRC.

totally underrated song. One of the best songs of the 90s. If Oasis had released this it would've been deemed to be a generational classic.
The last genuinely great period for British music. Great band, song and era.
