Matt Wolff at Eight Years old: Sinking Hole in One's with guys 4x his age. Myself at Eight Years old: Drilling innocent bystanders off the tee on Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2003 for PS2. Loved this video!
My hole in one story is when my high school golf team went to Florida for 4 days and on the last day, on Sunday on the 7th hole, I had a shot to carry water 125 and the flag was 140, the sun being in my face blocked my view when I hit the ball and I had thought It bounced off the back of the green but it had hit just past the pin and spun back. One of the other guys in my group had seen it and asked me "Did that just go in?" and I was telling him that it had gone off the back, but he was right. This kid had actually witnessed another kid on our golf team make two holes in ones the season before so there was a running joke he was the good luck charm.
The day after the Phoenix RGC, while attending the WM Phoenix Open, I talked everyone in our group into going to the 12th versus 16 (12 at TPC Scottsdale is a beautiful mid length par 3 on the lake opposite the par 5 with the island green) and we witnessed Webb Simpson's ace on his way to winning the tournament! The one and only I have seen with my own two eyes... for now.
The ball compression sound is amazing and I’m sure you picked up some tips as well. Looks like y’all had fun and keep growing the game.....I’m going to go J. Day on the hole in one.
I’ve got an unbelievable hole in one story: In 1996, I was in an amateur tourney in CT and got paired with a guy who could hit the ball a mile. His swing was...unconventional...but it worked for him. We step up to the first *par 4* (433 yards), and he absolutely smokes his drive (he was using a persimmon driver!). He carried it like 420, and it 4 hopped in for an Ace. Unreal. Must have been a big hockey guy, because after he drained it, he yelled “HE SHOOTS, HE SCORES.”
That’s what I thought too! The guy said they were his grandpas old clubs and just started using them recently. The woman who ran PR for the event *loved* the story.
I swear I ain seen anybody compress the ball like The Woolfe on tour, that guy’s caddie works overtime coz he rips the ball and digs out craters for divots...I love it though,I love his unique swing and also love him as a player,he looks like a very, very chilled dude.✌🏿🇿🇦
May 2, 2019 I hit a vice pro with a 7 iron from 170. I tracked the ball in the air but I was hitting into the sun. The 3 others I was with and myself lost it in the sun, but it was headed towards the green. Got to the pin and it was in the hole! It was also the first day I wore the Nike Air Max 1 golf shoes. I bought the white ones and I started a project where after every round, whoever I play with gets to sign the shoes. Memorable that it started that day, and I still have people signing the shoes today.
If I was on a teebox with Matt Wolff, with Dustin Johnson watching in a cart 20 ft away, there is NO DOUBT in my mind that I would top the first 10 from being so nervous.
My Dad was a scratch golfer before a brain injury in 2008. Once he hit a tee shot into the water on a par 3. On his next tee shot he holed it for a Par whole in one!
Hello from Malaysia! Love your content Erik, I've fallen in love with your content and it's gotten me to pick up golfing again with my dad. Keep it up! P.S. Collin Morikawa got the ace!
Incredible restraint to stop hitting after ball 45! I wouldn't be able to stop, probably also because I'd just want to hang out with Matt "I can't tell you all my nicknames" Wolff and try and find them all out!!
@erikanerslang did you guys announce the prize winners? pretty sure i was the first to guess Maria. @Taylormade a new wedge would fit the bag pretty good right about now
Courses probably wouldn't love their par 3 greens getting bombarded like this by a large group. Hard to repair in a quick time frame on a public course
Home internet, why do you hate me so much? I was refreshing like I was buying Rolling Stones tickets, only to be four minutes late to the party. If this was a golf hole, I made an 8. Hopeless, wedgeless, but the video is great! :)
Ace cam challenge 25 people 100 yards away on one side and 25 100 yards away on the other side all shoot at once. Everyone clearly writes their phone number on their ball and Erik calls the winner/s , shoot until a player/s ace it. Taylormade could give away a full set fitting to the fortunate.
TaylorMade Wedge Giveaway to the First Comment and correct guess for who got a hole in one in this series!!
Erik Anders Lang when and how do winners get announced ?
Maria with the Ace!
Is it 2 prizes or 1? Instagram live made it seem like 1 wedge for first comment, 1 wedge for correct guess
I’m going with Colin
Dustin

that's awesome - you found the ace.. Or did it find you?
@@RandomGolfClubFilms Maybe the ace has to find you before you can find one of your own 🤯

Fassi definitely got it!!! This is gonna be a good series EAL

I think it literally might be physically impossible to carry a persimmon driver 420 yds
That’s what I thought too! The guy said they were his grandpas old clubs and just started using them recently. The woman who ran PR for the event *loved* the story.
Matt Knutson was he wearing a Boston hockey jersey?
was he wearing a Boston hockey jersey?
I believe the world record for longest drive is with a persimmon driver.
I love this approach to an interview with players! Well done!

Just had my first ace a few days ago on a short 90yd hole. Only been playing for 6 months so pretty crazy to have already holed one.

I got a hole in one yesterday after I watched this video. #14 Tecolote canyon, 137 downhill. Used an A wedge and spun it back into the hole.
taking a lesson @ Floridian tomorrow. cant wait!
what a cool video. Topic, colouring (laidback), guest... congratz!!
Glad that Wolffy got his first Ace on tour this year!!!
Big Beau for the Ace!! See you at the masters RGC! (Hopefully with new wedges)
Outside of simple repairing of ball marks, does the course do anything special to make sure these little escapades don't just kill the greens?
Seems a really down to earth guy, great watch 👌🏻 J Day for the hole in one
It was cool to see Matt get an ace today at the Hewlett-Packard event, take the credit Erik and say it was because of all the practice here haha
hey eal, thanks for covering this. best wishes to ya'll
What's the song in the background starting @ 8:27?
So excited to watch this!!
If I was on a teebox with Matt Wolff, with Dustin Johnson watching in a cart 20 ft away, there is NO DOUBT in my mind that I would top the first 10 from being so nervous.
Hope you brought your divot tool!
I had a hole in one at top golf on the bonus ball, does that count?
Wolf seems like a pretty chill dude! Great video!
It’s 530 am and I’m currently rewatching this ace cam episode

Love this content! I also love TaylorMade.
Night and day difference to the DJ interview, Wolff seems like a very fun guy to golf with
I have had 3 but no company sponsored me ! Why?
Maria with the ace!
Anyone else think the sound of the shots sound weird? Like hollow pool cue shots?? What is that?
Ball 24 made me stop eating and watch the ball rolling towards the hole like "No way..."
And Jason Day for the ace!
It was Maria. Not Jason
@@690PingPong when the video released, EAL asked people to guess who would ace. I guessed Jason
Colin Morikawa definitely got the hole in one, love watching him play
His swing makes me feel so much better about my ugly one !!
It's got to be Jason Day with the ace!!
Colin M. For the ace for sure!

You can’t spell Taylormade without E-A-L.
My guess is Collin Morikawa!
MY BOY COLLIN MORIKAWA NO DOUBT

Matt Wolff is this generation's Jim Furyk, hopefully he can win that much
DJ just casually in the cart watching @9:46 ...
Gotta add this to RGC meetups on one of the holes!
Courses probably wouldn't love their par 3 greens getting bombarded like this by a large group. Hard to repair in a quick time frame on a public course

Kid is an absolute beauty.
Collin Morikawa for the first Ace!
Beau makes one!
I think it’s Day!
Maria Fassi will get the hole in one!
Jason Day!!
Love it.... I did spy DJ watching.
Beau Knows! He gets First Ace!
Home internet, why do you hate me so much? I was refreshing like I was buying Rolling Stones tickets, only to be four minutes late to the party. If this was a golf hole, I made an 8. Hopeless, wedgeless, but the video is great! :)
