There's something about this game that's so free flowing, the maps were bigger but the pace was still fast. The movement speed was perfect, every cod after felt sluggish. The maps were better, Highrise for example. Compare that to Overwatch the DLC map from MW3, the crane on Overwatch had such an underwhelming presence. also BO2 was on MW2's engine so technically MW2 is BO2 so this argument is pointless😂

I queued outside blockbuster video at midnight for mw2 and took the next day off work lol just for that reason it’s my goat. But I was rubbish and was better at the black ops for some reason 🤷
Facts. BO2's cool with its future tech and aesthetic, but nothing can top the unrealistic action movie-level chaos of MW2. The chaotic unbalanced mess of MW2 gives it its charm. I miss MW2's rule of literally any SMG, no matter how big, being able to be dual-wieldable. MWIII 2023, imo, is essentially the Modern CoD era counterpart to MW2 2009, because it too had some chaotic content, like the Aftermarket Parts, one of which turning the Lockwood into literal Akimbo Model 1887s, and the amount of killstreaks being like a "Greatest Hits" collection of MWII/III, BO2 and AW.

I do feel the momentum of the previous titles made this happen, more people were playing PS3 / Xbox at that point. youtube community peaked at that point too with the FaZe5 challenge etc
MW2 is the best. BO2 is the first game that I ever saw were the sniper would run to the Frontline because they had some invisible body armor. I still play mw2 till this day.

DSR-50 in every BO2 lobby gets very annoying after a while. Intervention in MW2 I don’t mind lol
