I love the way Simone says “Dank u wel Floortjie.” (Thank you, little Floor) at the end, considering that Floor is almost a foot taller than Simone!
😄Yes,nicely noticed, but in dutch it is/was "dank je wel Floortje" and your translation is correct .If we put "tje" behind a name ,the meaning of that name gets smaller or more little and surely its funny to say to Floor '''Floortje"becouse she is 6.1 tall. Simone said this in a very loving way.
@@strabel803 Thank you for correcting my mistake, I was using my knowledge of Afrikaans which is clearly not the same, only similar to Dutch.
One foot is 30.48 cm.
Floor is 183 cm, Simone is 169 cm, that's 14 cm difference, so just below a half foot. Not "almost a foot" 🙂
🌸
🤣🤣
Remember this was during a metal concert how cool
😍😍😍
These dutch lady's are so versatile, classicle music and symphonic metal is a good match.
Yes their versatility as singers is super impressive! I definitely agree with your comment about classical music and symphonic metal being a good match! Thanks for your comment.
@@AaliyahCapili Just for instance: Simone asked floor to do the lowest part for her, 'cause both of them have almost the same pitch, so the music could be well engaged with both voices differing one another
🇬🇧 Norfolk reporting for duty
Two Dutch queens and the respect from a metal crowd in silence is unbelievable
🤗🤗🤗
Wy Not ? Metal crowd listen only real music , Not plastic stuff
Listening to Simone and Floor sing together is the sweetest Lullaby.
🤗🤗🤗
I was hoping you would react to this (and may even have suggested it) so was delighted when this popped up in my notification!
Very impressive range from Floor to take on the alto part, despite being a soprano, and still nailing it!
Simone had a slightly easier part as she is singing in her natural register (good choice, as she has a brighter voice compared to Floor's more rounded tone) and as great friends from years back they would have sung together informally many times. A small look can convey lots of information between good friends who have sung together many times, and you can see that between Floor and Simone.
Floor also was clearly leading, as it is she who is the link to the orchestral conductor, making sure that they both caught all the timling perfectly Simone takes the cues from Floor and floor from the conductor.
And of course, it was beautifully played by the orchestra (much better than my amateur efforts ever were as a violinist - the music school I attended was crazy enough to choose me to lead the orchestra for some reason, and we frequently played this to accompany the vocal studies students who used it in their syllabus).
And during the performance, you would not know from the recording that this is an audience who came to a rock concert, with no idea this would be included - they are quiet and respectful of the outstanding music they are being treated to, and you could have heard a pin drop. Floor also shows her class, thanking the conductor and orchestra in Italian before leaving the stage.
The whole concert is epic (well, with the Band's name, what else would you expect?) with a full orchestra and choir on stage with them, which must have taken a full day for the sound techs to set up - I tried to count the number of channels they must have been mixing live and it is well over a hundred - I think in the 150 to 200 range, and although of course some can be grouped, it is still a massive undertaking. Sound checks alone must have taken hours to set the levels and balance them (I did a bit of that a very long time ago in the analogue era and it is far from easy, although we never had more than 32 channels and mostly far less).
It was a brave musical choice to include this in a rock concert, but it paid off handsomely and maybe expanded the musical horizons of many attendees.
Thank you for your suggestion and comment. Also thank you for the information you shared to me! 😃I agree with you that it was super cool that they added this piece in a rock concert!
Floor didn't thank in Italian. She says "Prachtig" which is "wonderful" in Dutch. 🙂
@@AaliyahCapili Can you please do more Epica? I can't believe you've only done 3 songs so far... You know that this band is not about Floor, right? 🙂 They are absolutely amazing with or without Floor. They have many wonderful ballads, if that's what you prefer.
This "Stabat Mater" performance is from 2013. How about comparing Simone's voice from 2006 and 2021 ? I'll give you two ballads, both are live performances, you can see what year it is in the title of each.
Epica - Trois Vierges with ROY KHAN (live 2006)
Epica - Rivers |A Capella| (ΩMEGA ALIVE) ~ 2021 [Full HD]
@@cancelled_user It sounded (and looks - her lips do not close to pronounce a P) very much like Grazie to me, and that is (like in musical notation) normal for classical and operatic music.
@@cancelled_user Yes indeed, ' Prachtig' is what Floor is saying here. I'm dutch so I can understand exactly what Simone and Floor are talking about.
The biggest contrast you see here is a Metal crowd which is totally silent and enjoy a classical piece performed during a Metal concert.
While if you see the whole concert you can see the enormous contrast in the music.
Henk Poort (opera and musical singer) once said about Floor when she sang "vilja lied" for him in her own style.
"Good Music is Good Music. Period..."
And he was truly enjoying himself while sitting on the couch during the Show "Beste Zangers 2019"

Floor did keep a careful eye on the conductor and I love her gracefull 'Knicks' to him at the end!
Thanks for sharing
These ladies have been friends for a very long time. So, they probably sang this during their teens together.
💕💕💕
Your gonna love this two metal queens this is down your ally there both amazing your cool too keep rocking I'm a metal head and I loved this
Aw Thank you! I am so grateful that you loved it! Also yes I agree they are amazing metal queens! 👑
Would you ever thought that in metal concert such a performance would get standing ovations? Hahah
😍😍😍
Class act by both. Simone is an incredible singer. She did this song already years ago before this one with an orchestra live on stage without floor but with a choir member. To me that's the best version of the song. She performs so well with an orchestra, it almost seems she's part of it. In her childhood days she actually sang in a choir.
Thanks for sharing🤗
Grandgrandpa 72 here. On Musical College, Floor and Simone was Friends, in the same Class and in the same Apartment. Hank Port was a Mentor from the Two.😊
Thanks so much for sharing💕
Hi Aaliyah, Simone and Floor sang one other song together in this concert, one of Epica's songs 'Sancta Terra' a mixture of contemporary and operatic vocals:

Ooo Thank you for letting me know!
@@watchtheskies She did it 3 months ago. She came to Epica from Nightwish reactions, so we can be sure she received a million requests only for the two songs with Floor. It's time for some proper Epica now. 🙂
I'm glad that I finally got to this beautiful song and this wonderful performance. I love both classical music and metal and this performance just made me happy.
Yes, their song is so beautiful indeed😍thanks again
@@AaliyahCapili Even Bach was inspired by this "masterpiece"...
So beautiful, Pergolesi was so young but so mature 😥
I'm not sure but you could call it "cantata sacra" (italiana)
Your smile says it all 😇.
You should do Floor with the band Revamp, the song Disdain or Wildcard.
Thanks so much🤗
😍😍😍
Thanks so much mommy💕💕💕
Hey beautiful so good to see you are well. It was a great pleasure to see you react to music that is in your wheelhouse. You speak with insightful wisdom along with the training that you have. Well done. Until next time, stay well and popping for fresh
Thanks so much Mr. David🤗have a nice day🤗
@@AaliyahCapili Thank you Aliyah. Remember, perfect practice makes perfect. Stay in touch
......
It's wonderful!

my 2 favs in the world
😍😍😍
Dear Aaliyah, excellence meets excellence !!! Wonderful performance, awesome crowd-reaction to an unusual song in a metal-concert, and - once more - a reaction that imo puts you in the top-tier of what can be found in this 'exploding' mass of reactors. Just my personal (!) opinion: There are Elizabeth, Julia, Anna Vaskelainen and few others and there is YOU ! Be proud of what and how you do. And feel the respect and dear appreciation of so many. Said this before: one day wherever it may be, I'll see you live on stage and even thinking of that day makes me happy. To you and all loved ones: stay well, enjoy all love you get and keep on with doing it your way 🤝💯👏🙏🥰👍
Awww thanks so much as always Mr. Christian, have a wonderful day🌸
I was sooooo waiting sooooo long for this one to come out Aaliyah!! Thank you! Awesome reaction as always!! ♥♥♥♥
I would love you to react to SiM - The rumbling!!! A bit different haha , They are a Japanese band. You might have heard of them. Thank you in advance!! 😍
Aw my pleasure! Thanks for your very sweet comment ☺and thank you for your suggestion!
How Simone say, little Floor. Hihihi 🤗😅 so funny.
🤗🤗🤗
Simone and Floor have a bright tone here because they chose to have it. They are that good.
They are so amazing🥰🥰🥰
Ciao Aaliyah, sei bravissima e bellissima. Video meraviglioso 💖💕
Ciao Stefano! Grazie! ☺
Hi Aaliyah. Enjoy some great music with you on Thanksgiving Eve. I liked in the beginning when you paused it to set the tone. To understand it better. Always enjoy your reactions. Happy Thanksgiving. I plan on eating way too much.
Hello Mr. Dave, Happy Thanksgiving to you and Happy Eating too🤗💕🤗have a great holiday ahead😍😍😍thanks again for your support🌸🌸🌸

Do you have some suggestions saved or do you need some?
Here is the (considered by many) best recent (past 50 years) rendition of this Stabat Mater :

Really great at a metal concert but stabat mater by orfeo 55 with Philippe Jaroussky and Emöke Barath is truly beautiful
Thanks for sharing🤗
Stabat Mater Dolorosa ( pronounced "Stahbot Mahtear Dolorosa" ) = "Stood the Mother, full of grief" ---- the hymn describing the Virgin Mary's sorrow at Jesus's crucifixion........Pergolesi knew he was dying ( at age 26 ) as he completed the piece.......originally composed for 1 soprano voice, 1 alto voice and a 4 piece chamber accompaniment.....and, of course, sung in Latin.....well known in the classical repetoire.......
Thanks so much for sharing
Great reaction! If you want to expand your metal journey, try reacting to Brittney Slayes from Unleash the Archers and check their music video Tonight We Ride. Or you can also try another Dutch metal singer Sharon den Adel from Within Temptation with their song Ice Queen. I think we metalheads can throw anything at you since you're already exposed to Jinjer and Lorna Shore!! Lol!
Thanks so much for all of your recommemdations, i will check it out too😍
Is it possible to make further Epica suggestions? I nominate these two:
* ruclips.net/video/7geGtgjyQlI/видео.html -- the song "Rivers", a capella with just a choir, live performance in a studio without an audience.
* ruclips.net/video/MFPn1lFDlyE/видео.html -- the song "Tides of Time", a rock ballad, studio version (no video, just a static image, sorry).
Thanks so much, i will check it out too🤗
He died at 26
Bar fight.

*Would love to see Floor duet with Dimash one day*
Same! That will be so cool! 🤩

Hello sis 😊 , Can you react indonesian song to killms-numb, plis try react ,🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Thanks for sharing, i will try to check it out🤗
@@AaliyahCapili okay, thanks 🥰🥰🥰🥰
A baroque purist would probably be able to point out flaws in this performance but overall this was very, very well sung. The only thing I found a bit of a pity was the moment Simone embraced Floor at the end of their lyrics rather than wait for the orchestra to finalize their part. On seeing the hug the crowd broke out in a roar of approval while the music was still playing. Personally I find it a bit disrespectful to the musicians in the orchestra, even though I'm sure no disrespect was intended. I guess the orchestra and choir have had to deal with a lot of firsts during this concert 😉
Thanks for sharing Mr. Roy😊
Floor is a monster, or simone is a dwarf?
🌺
dat fake smile 😬
Oh No! 😔Sorry if it seems that way. I think I make weird facial expressions when analyzing what they are doing vocally, but I hope it doesn't give you the impression that I am not enjoying what I am reacting to or faking my reactions. I think being in theatre for a long time taught me to always exaggerate my expressions, still trying to break that habit in day to day life. Thank you though for the honest feedback.
That's your main take from this reaction? Interesting.
