guess I am the minority here. I've pedaled the heck out of this and currently at almost 11k Miles, aiming for 14k end of this year. Brake pad is the killer deal here but it is what it is. if you ride as much as I do, you better buy that 10 set pads. HAHAHA!
magura mt5e rotors pads and 4 piston brakes are where its at. people say the opposite about the rev 1 up's single gear since if you have to pedal it home with one gear and a dead battery youre going to be hurting haha.
Do those pads work for this bike? I need to replace my pads on my dk300 max and am looking for a better pad to buy as the stocks ones didn't last long.
@@Wezonit maybe.... You might need the whole brake kit though. You can upgrade one wheel at a time though and just start with a front wheel kit and a 203mm rotor up front
I'm looking for an extremely durable AWD ebike for slower ranch work where I never go over 20 MPH and 5 to 10 is more common. Traction is important through swamp like terrain as well as steep rugged jeep trails. Is this the best available awd e-bike for our situation? I already own two Rokon awd gas powered motorcycles (referred to as 2 wheel tractors) which I like, but think an awd e-bike might be an interesting option. The Rokons weigh about 220 lbs with enormous Maxxis Bighorn ATV tires - strength / durability is most important, but it would be nice if they were lighter when navigating difficult terrain. I'm not sure to what extent I can duplicate the towing capacity of the Rokons? With the Rokons, I frequently pull a small Ohio Steel poly dump trailer (which I love) full of buckets of mud out of a pond, through a swamp like area, through a creek, up a high embankment ditch, dump the dirt on the top of the ditch bank and safely decent the steep bank. Sounds scary, but surprising to me, not a problem, once I got the nerve to try - wouldn't feel safe coming off the ditch bank somewhat sideways down with our Kawasaki Mule 4 WD OHV - might tip over. I bought the gas Rokons used and new ones cost over 9K. Perhaps strange to consider an e-bike because one feature I love about the Rokons is the battery - they don't have one (pull start). But perhaps lighter, with less maintenance and cheaper to buy - e-bikes might be contenders for ranch 2 wheel vehicles? Quiet would also be nice.
I need to buy some new brake pads now @ 270 miles. I ordered replacements from Meelod but still haven't received them after 3 weeks. Do you happen to know a better pad to buy or am I stuck with Meelod only? I don't know bikes that well so not sure if I can just buy shimano style pads or maybe Super 73 4 piston pads. Hoping to find pads to get more mileage out of them.

Hi, so do you still enjoy this Meelod? I'm really considering this bike for my gf for the cool look and price.I have a motor goat v3 and she digs the look but she's just getting into the riding and I wanted something she can use on the road as well as the sidewalk when she doesn't feel comfortable. I feel like it be a good bike for her considering she's like 130lb 5'8 and would have all the getup she needs. My only issue was this talk about the cruise control not being able to turn it off. as far as I know you can't turn the cruise off, I would look around for some guides online or check with customer service. It's a steel frame I think so it's also a very heavy ebike, besides that it's fun! What about the ghost cat for her?
@maximumchargeEV Yea, I've looked at the ghost cat also. It performs and looks great! However, a while back I found out she likes the look of the meelod much better. I really dig the look of the meelod better too. looks unique amongst alot of similar frame moped style bikes. Screw it i'm going for it I'll just haul it around for her when need be lol. both are great, but I wouldn't use the torque sensor of the 600dl, and it's a full size ebike, good for off roading. I personally like this one more.
