better as a point, good mix up potential, strong neutral because you can cancel j236S into light DP which is a TOD starter if you have spark up and he has pretty good bar gain on top of some of the better damage in the game now
If you're doing 236M manually that might be the reason, I'm pretty sure you need to do 5MMM (medium button 3 times in a row, the auto combo) instead of 5M 2M 236M to get the wall bounce
