What's the purpose of the 4 direction in combos? Like when you write 4L? Is holding back-light in the middle of the air any different than just the L alone? There was a Xiao combo I replicated (I have it on my page) and his notation also had j4L, and I did the same combo without it. It really confuses me.
When using 4 direction in a combo, you avoid the follow-up of the autocombo Ex: 5LL is the two hits of the auto combo, while 4LL is two times the first hit of the autocombo(two jabs).

Nice, but what do you specifically mean by "doesn't work from point blank"? And "not friendly with hitstun decay"? I assume for the latter, you mean there's a high hitstun decay and it's therefore hard to hit the combo, but anything else? Do you mean there's a condition under which it won't be possible? If so, what is that condition?
Not friendly with hitstun decay means that if you did too many hits before starting the combo (like starting with jML 2L 5LL then doing it), it will drop because the hitstun decay limit has been reached
Point blank means shooting something very close to its target, what i mean by point blank is that if you start the combo while being to close the target, the combo won’t work

Hi Kuwanger. Regarding the 3MM combo at 2:35, hit #15 is after the dj9. Can I ask why it has to be j4LLS instead of just jLLS? Would hits 18-21 not work if it was just jLLS? Thank you for looking. :)
It wouldn’t work because the second jL on jLL is the same button as jM, you can do 2 jL in the same jump (jM(1)LL or j4LL) but you can’t do 2 jM
So if you do jLLS j2S jM, that last jM won’t come out because it was used in jLLS, you would need to end the combo with djLL(2)L instead (or djLS j2S jM(2)H, but both will do less damage)

@DaRkBullxD2011 because it was nerfed in 2018, 2M was just as fast (or atleast close to it) as 1M for the same scaling, the additional range from 2M made kid buu really strong from half screen so they decided to nerf it

I dide the "easyer version" of the BNB and i hit 17 hits, you deal 4352 damange but i deal 3407 damange... WHY? almost 1k damange less
Are you sure you did the exact same inputs ? Starting the combo with lights will add scaling which reduces the damage
This is happening with me too the first combo is short by 1k also
