My brother served aboard this great battle wagon during WW-II . Participated in many of the major offences in the south Pacific. RIP Robert D. Campbell a member of America's Greatest Generation.
many moons ago i was about 23 years old i lived right off of Air Port Blvd worked in Daphne At Express Lube full time after work i went to Bishop State Community College to learn how what i do today work on cars i went to the USS Alabama so many times drove by it so many times one time had a close friend come visit while in the military took him to see the ship in front were my Appendix Ruptured standing in the very front of the ship i was in the hospital for a week cheated death so anytime i see anything about this its a blast from my pass im 51 now 3 daughters later and a grandbaby its just my memory ty for sharing
When I went the first time. family vacation and it was storming. when we got there, the guide told us no tours but we could just go explore on our own. we had the ship all to ourselves. 1986 " The sub was still in the water at that time before the hurricane"
Awesome!! Not taking away from the USS Alabama.....as for aircraft museum wise, I highly recommend Pima Air and Space Museum in Tuscan AZ. It's only $18 bucks with 5 hangers and an open yard (ww2 to 4th gen) with amazing history. While in the yard, you can also view A-10s taking off overhead from Davis Monthan-Tuscan AFB next door. space capsules, x-15a, and pristine old warbirds.....it's all day fun and history
Looks like a really good visit, thank you for sharing Sir. And the Alabama looks in good shape too, did. I read/watch they are having a lot of problems restoring her? This is a very good watch. The kind that you don‘t move on halfway through. 😀
Awesome. Been to US Alabama BMP some years ago, visiting friends in NOLA, when going down to Orlando on a 2 day road rip, and it is Nr. 2 on the list of battleship related sites. Nr.1 would be USS New Jersey. :D On the same trip we also went to NAS Pensacola Navy Aviation Museum, Disneyland and saw a Space X Rocket Launch at Canaveral, all in 24 hrs. *lol* What a trip. Greetings from Germany old pal. Moody? Something new, or back from when you did the USAF AFSOC PJ shoot?
@@ErikJohnston Yeah, thats what i thought, the AFSOC PJ shoot. Nice that you decided to show the material of Memorial Park here too. I was kinda baffled when i saw the K9 Vietnam Memorial at Memorial Park. Thats one thing i really do love about you Americans, you really do love those 4 legged fur rockets, and give them credit where it is due.
alabama played as uss indianapolis in both version 1991 mission of the sharks its a good version and the bad version horrible nic cage crap men of courage

Yeah Pina is awesome! I haven’t been there in years
Outstanding. Thank you very much!
My uncle served on that ship from shortly after her commisioning 'till the end of the war.
I was there several times in the 80s and again in 2003

We sure do! I recently spoke to Patriot Paws about promoting them on my channel. They train service dogs for veterans for free
Sweet home Alabama
Nice open spaces.
Thanks!
is that all oil around it ? how dose that not mix in the waves with that small wall ?
That’s water. Just looks darker as I’d imagine it’s a little mirky in comparison to the other water
Been there in 05 when I was in Mobile.
Nicely documented. BB60 deck is in sad shape. Teak is way harder to come by this century.
Fire a few main battery salvos from an Iowa class battleship and our enemies will definitely reconsider.
12 battle stars. Sank 15 enemy ships!
