I suggested the MoM-jewel, but not sure it hits the big node for arcane surge effect. Havent tried myself. My char is soon in maps, looking forward to trying it and see if I can do something about the manacost. I invested abit more into mana, regen and max mana and annointed arcane surge on crit, will see how it works. :)
