Hi Caitlin, could you give us advice on how you hold them then when you read longer in different positions (eg lying) ? because I use a sadly ugly cover because it can stand and because of the holder... but i'd much prefer your beautiful approach (hehe, funny about the youthfulness, because i'm older, hence the issues with holding something up for a long time)
Question: I love this idea so much and would love to try it, but how do you make sure the front of your e-reader is properly protected? Are there any issues there?
I had a kindle then switched to android tablet so I couldn't do this becasue i couldn't find a clear case. But now I traded tablets with my hubby. So, a cleat=r case for my kindle is on my amazon cart lol.

Something that can help with the power button is you can use a single hole punch to cut the area out so you can make it more accessible
