Agree...little changes. Love ur updates. I'm doing the same to my desk situation. I find just doing a good clean and small purge helps a ton. As you said the space is used regularly so it needs it
The metal barrel pen is slightly heavier. I prefer the metal barrel too, I feel like it makes the pen easier to move and makes it smoother. Probably in my head, but I do like the weight of it.
I would love to see your ideas on how to organize your desk if it is a shared space. My job has had a major move which forced some of us to have a shared space. I love my coworkers and we understand and respect each other in terms of space, but we're unsure as to how to use it 😢 3 people sharing 1 1/2 desk is interesting
For highlighting books I like to use the Frixion Highlighters. They have pastel ones and they work the same as the regular frixions, so if you wanted to remove them, you could (but the erasing can sometimes smudge the printed ink).😊
This video was so satisfying, I'm really thankful for the moment you remembered the small changes and little satisfactions of everyday life to improve our work pace and make everything more minimalist and functional. Thank you! More makeover videos like this, please! I love them!

Caitlin, I'm laughing at the crochet basket. I had a brilliant idea that I would learn so I have a basket full of goodies. Unfortunately, my interest lasted all of five minutes. haha I appreciate the tips because I'm so focused on organizing my digital life that I often forget about my physical desk and I need some inspiration to make it more joyful.
I've recently taken on a new role at my job and am also working from home at least 3 days a week. The neck/shoulder/upper back pain is a whole new level of torture. I've been thinking about a laptop stand so, off to Amazon I go! And I'll also be starting a class on Monday. I'm going to be sitting at my desk way too much during the next few months. Time to give it a refresh. Thanks for the boost!
Loved the desk make over. You have inspired me to do mine in the morning. When it comes to organizing, how do you organize your day when you work from home or in your own business. I have read a lot about productivity,however, need some structure in my day. Too many distractions or house chores competing for attention. TY.
I am so with you on the metal barrel Sharpie S gel in .7!! it writes so much better than the plastic one. I was talking to a friend and I told them I think it's also heavier of a pen which is nice.
Fun video and very timely! This week I had been itching to "restyle" the top of my dresser. I searched for inspiration and ideas on Pinterest and shopped for things to make the vision come to life. I soon realized I didn't want to buy new stuff - that I would source items from things I already had (I have lots to choose from. I just had to let go of the idea of copying someone else's idea in order to get what I wanted.) Success! Nothing I did was major but it feels great. I totally agree that it's important to make changes to keep things fresh - I reorganized my desk recently too and it's surprising how small changes can make a big impact in your day to day. It doesn't have to be perfect to feel new! (It also felt great to not buy anything since that's one of my goals for 2024 - use what I have before buying more!)
