Attempting DBD's Most Impossible Challenge! | Solo Hardcore Ep. 1

- Welcome to the Solo Hardcore Survivor Challenge Episode 1!
Rules - If a Character dies… they die PERMANENTLY and can no longer be played, if I run out of Characters the Challenge is OVER, I am allowed to switch Characters whenever I want BUT all points earned on a Character MUST be spent on that Character, if a Character is lost due to uncontrollable circumstances then the game is Nullified, for example: the Killer is Hacking, teammates are teaming with the Killer to get me Killed, the Killer is Lag Switching (a.k.a Teleporting) to the point where it is physically IMPOSSIBLE to do anything against. I am allowed to search Chests for an item and as long as I Survive with that item I can bring it into the next match, I am also allowed to bring offerings that I earn by levelling the Blood Web. To make this Challenge EXTRA HARD I have decided that any matches where a teammate DC’s or gives up even at 5 gens, the Match STILL COUNTS!

Welcome to the Solo Hardcore Survivor Challenge, where I have to reach Iridescent 1 before I run out of Characters, the thing that makes this Challenge so hard is exactly what you'd expect... Solo Queue. I managed to reach Bronze IV by the end of this Episode, I hope to see you all every Saturday for each new episode of this series, I really hope you enjoy!

It’s incredible how Ayrun can loop a killer for 10 whole minutes yet still 0 gens are done.
I only focus on generators. It will be easy win if I play with him
And that's with editing, the chases are actually 30 minutes long.

The wraith was actually pretty damn good but at the end he just was so confused to the point the couldn’t keep up with the game anymore. You could see he was specifically chasing you in order to learn how to play better but the overload of things happening and new information prolly confused the hell outta him
That's why I was glad Ayrun was observing this and giving Wraith his props, because he's easy in a concept, but not the easiest to fully master, especially with him being part of the OG 4.

That kobe into the hatch against the Billy was so unexpectedly amazing. Keeps the dream alive to get those Laurie teachables for the rest of the run.
That happening makes all this look like paid actors
Honestly wondering about rigged chances though, I don't remember for me but I remember teaching a friend DBD and they kobed on the very first attempt of their account too

I loved that game. Ayrun ran the Billy forever yet both Leon and Claudette did literally nothing. It's like they were taking strolls around the map... :P
At least Claudette seemed to have tried to do gens (and I'm guessing left/hid as soon as she head the terror radius), but Leon didn't seem to be doing anything at all.
Screw playing this game solo, honestly.

The biggest Problem I see in the beginning are the other survivors. Ayrun is running the killer like mad, and there are sitting somewhere doing nothing. 😅

The fact that the Billy chased for that long, and there were still FOUR gens, reminds me why I stopped playing the game since I was always solo. Thank God for the new group I found. Ggs

Fr, I had a 3 gen skull merchant the other day and it was impossible to break, the game went on for about 30 minutes of her just patrolling gens, it makes me want to run deja vu

I was really disappointed when Dowsey decided to discontinue the hardcore survivor series. Seeing you guys on Season 2 was some of my favorite DBD content of all time. Maybe next year you and other members of the community can organize it and collaborate again.

@@shortyned7140 Yes, but before quitting DBD he said he was going to do another season of it. When I watched his video on quitting I thought that he would still do that last season like he said but he said he wasn't going to.

The problem I've run into with the idea of solo escape streaks is that they often require you to play selfishly in order to escape, which isn't very fun or fair to your teammates oftentimes
Luckily ayrun ain’t playing that selfish and still tries till the bitter end
@@steeledcelestial2958e's saying that sometimes you are forced to play selfishly due to how incompetent solo q can be. ayrun probably cutted some footage too
@@steeledcelestial2958Usually thats the case thankfully, but in some situations he'll have to choose between hiding in a corner for 20 minutes or dying, which ends up being a problem
I'd much prefer to have ayrun playing a bit selfish on my team, rather than the usual solo queue teammates.

One of the things I enjoyed about the past Hardcore series was seeing the evolution of the killer skill set as the games went on. I am excited that we now get to see the evolution of the survivor skill set in the solo challenge. I'm sure it will be maddening at times because that is the nature of solo queue, but it will be fun to watch. Good luck!

26:50, Leon wasn’t summoned, he saw the future and knew he had to be there. If you look closely there was a blood stain on the ground a little before Ayrun vaulted.
That first match was already so stressful. OMG. There were some really insane chases and clutch hatches. My tiny heart can't take this series but I am so excited!
I'm hoping to become a better survivor player, so a series like this is very inspirational. Thank you for doing it and sharing it on RUclips! It's also reminding me, as a killer main, not to waste too much time chasing one good survivor, like that Ghostface on Cold Wind and the Wraith after him, etc. etc.. (Also I died laughing at the Otz "hello friends" sound bites! great editing!)

Game 12 was so frustrating to watch! Not entirely sure what happened with Meg, but to see Claudette almost finish the 2nd gen of the game, but then start a new one was bizarre. And then she self cared through sloppy butcher. And Leon! WHAT was he doing the entire game??? That kobe was so well deserved that game.
I was there for the livestream but I gotta say, even while knowing everything, this video was really fun to watch!!

Big shout-out to that one Wraith player who was going for the mind games! I think the tilt may have gotten to them a little bit at the end, but they do seem to understand the game well and be experimenting with new things.

So if I understand the concept of hardcore survivor, it’s pretty much the DBD Nuzlocke. I feel like this is a great content idea and is gonna be extremely popular among other popular DBD ccs,so keep it up Ayrun!

i already loved the hardcore series with the 4 man group, this is going to be awesome!
A few perks that you want unlocked ASAP:
1. Ace in the Hole. Seems like a weird one, but especially early on it allows you to gain and keep addons in a match. Especially handy on survivors that have no inventory yet.
2. Sole survivor, for obvious reasons
3. Wake Up/Left Behind. Probably Left Behind because Bill's other perks are also really handy to have, but Wake Up together with Sole Survivor basically guarantees opening gates even if they are close.
that locker move at the end of game 6, one of the biggest brain dbd plays ever, so fuckin good.

By the end of the video you seem surprised that you're not at the soft cap, but (unless it got changed) Hatch escapes do not count towards mmr!

Glad the series is back. Was a cracking good laugh watching the squad. Just one question. If laurie was your first survivor, how did you manage to have inner strength from Nancy and hope? Both are teacheables are they not?
Since the stranger things dlc isn't available anymore demo, Nancy, and Steve's perks are all basic pool perks available from the start.
I'm glad we get a new hardcore series and I can't wait to see how it ends x.x
