I've been subscribed for a few years - because I like your approach, your style. I'm not an Olympus user (except for my OM1 that I've had for 44 years now). No, I'm a Fuji user - and have been for nine years. I'll stay subscribed too. Not because you're a Fuji user, but because I still like your approach, your style 😀.
OM-1… undoubtedly the best film camera ever, in my mind. I’ve had three of them (my current one is now somewhat tired out and not worth putting a film in).
It's a strange world. As a Fuji user I gladly watched your Olympus content because, as we all know, it's not the camera that takes the pictures and it wasn't the camera that wrote your engaging, informative and witty dialogue :)
Don't worry, I think there are many people that will follow you further on! I am an Olympus-User that watches your videos because of you and your videos, not because of the camera system you use. 😊 Camera Systems and camera models are a matter of taste. Thank you for your kind, calm and great videos!🙏🏼
Being confident in my gear choice means I am always more interested in the image making than the equipment used to capture it. This channel and my e6 membership is part an ongoing tuition program helping me widen my horizons and finally produce images that please me. My key lesson after 53 years of camera ownership is; whatever the gear you own, use it more. I will stay Craig whatever the gear you use, even if you are wrong 😂😂.
Great ending. I'll admit I do enjoy the drama when a photographer on RUclips changes gear. I found your channel because you used Olympus and I'll keep watching because your subject matter is interesting.
Thank god I am not into camera makes or honeypot pictures! but I do have a camera and I still use it as much as possible, I love your approach to taking pictures Craig and its nice to see someone not using a tripod. Thank you for sharing your morning with us....
G'day from Sydney ( yes Australia ).. don't worry about anyone stupid enough to unsub over a platform change, we're all here for you mate.. stay strong ;-)
"Something out of nothing" is a real talent, and the reason I follow this and the E6 channel. I shoot MFT but you use what's right for you. Some interesting compositions, as usual.
Been a subscriber for a long while and it's what you share with us that is very interesting and educational, not the camera system itself. I use Nikon but cameras these days are all very good! Keep on creating these brilliant youtube videos!
In my humble opinion, not many folk are fortunate enough to live in areas surrounded by natural beauty, untouched by humans. To get to these places usually means travelling large distances. For the rest of us (including me), we usually have access to nature areas much closer to home, where most of these will include "man-made" elements as you described. I agree that these elements can definitely add interest to our landscape images. Keep up the great work Craig!
Hi Craig, I never watched your videos because you are shooting a specific camera brand but rather how are you shooting and what are you shooting. Thanks for your videos. 🙂
Craig, if some viewers stop watching because you've changed brands, more fool them. The last thing I care about when admiring a photo (or a video) is what brand the camera was. My DSLR is a 12 year old Nikon D7000 and until my artistic skills exceed its technical capabilities, I'll soldier on with that. As so often with your videos, this one's made me think outside the box: next time I'm 'out in the bush' I'll be looking for a bit of grunge instead of a glimpse of paradise! Speaking of grunge, I'm wondering what the hell those dust bins on legs are, e.g. at 5:30. Thanks and cheers from DownUnder 🦘
Hi Craig It's great to see you back with another video. My favourite video you made was Nitty Gritty in Bristol i to like photographing Graffiti Art Murals. I still have my Fuji Finepix compact Camera which i bought in 2008 and i still use it sometimes. It still takes nice photos for It's time. Thanks for another great video.
I’ve been a subscriber from day one, the brand of camera is not important, the photo results is the only thing that counts. BTW I shoot fuji and Olympic film camera
I'll admit I first tuned into your channel to see what others are doing w/ Olympus MFT gear, but that faded quickly and I stayed because I enjoy your approach to photography and your story telling. It's a shame that OM-D is losing you, but what I personally learn from you and enjoy about your channel is independent of your camera system.
I follow and subscribe because I like your no nonsense approach. I happen to use Nikon and Olympus digital and a whole range of folk cameras. They are tools all do something different. No one can tell me what camera an image was taken on. I got my fellowship using something different. Kit doesn’t matter. People who unfollow because you change your kit are followers you should want to lose!,,
You've actually really made me think about my photography Craig. So far in my 'photography journey' I've been searching for those traditional pretty landscape shots. And to be honest, certainly locally, they've been quite few and far between. I think I'm going to start taking photos of the less traditional less 'pretty' shots. It's like you said in the video, it better to come home with those kind of photos than with no photos at all! Cheers mate!😊
Still here! You can't get rid of me that easily 😁 it's a shame that those who got upset and left failed to understand that you haven't left Olympus, you've just added two more systems to your arsenal.
Hi Craig I’m still here and still shooting Olympus but it’s a tool so it doesn’t matter to me what you shoot so long as you keep entertaining and informing us with your vision of photography 👍👍👍
I personally couldn’t careless what you shoot with. It’s your great video content and excellent images that i subscribed for. Keep up the great work Craig👍🏼
The Fuji 10-24mm WR, 18-55 "kit" lens and both the 55-200 and 70-300 are really great zooms which I love and have made some really great images with. With Fuji there's really no need to go for the monster 2.8 zooms unless you really really need them and, if you do, you might as well just get a full frame, they're the same weight and size, though granted, half the cost... 🙂 And I deleted a whole channel with 12,000 subscribers because of the hate when I finally realized Pentax was very DEAD! LOL!
Your content was and is excellent, and the camera doesn't matter. The first priority in camera choice- always shoot the camera that brings you the most joy. I shoot an Olympus PEN-F, a wonderful camera as you know. But I love the Fuji film simulations too! Waiting for OM to create a PEN-F II -we will see if it happens. So many considerations- size/weight or the total kit, how it feels to you, image stabilization, etc. Keep shooting and making great content.
I'm not going to watch another video until you start shooting Canon!… Having said that, I'm might watch all your future uploads, but that's just to check to see if you're shooting Canon!… Don't get it twisted!!!… 🤨
As you constantly prove on this channel the camera doesn't make the Image the photographer absolutely does. I personally enjoy trying different gear, film and digital never aiming to just grab a shot for channel content I always do my best to make a shot I'm happy with. 35mm on the Fujis was my fave focal length until I got a Q2 with it's 28mm now this thing is very fast becoming my preferred tool for most occasions. Love the woodland path shots, and the power pole in the woods, well spotted well shot.
Well, I'm here for the humour. And maybe some photography. I'm still happy with my Olympus and Panasonic MFT kit, but Fuji was the alternative to Olympus that I looked at when I got my E-M1 a few years back. The differences in the zooms between Fuji and Olympus is what decided me at that time, but Fuji have since brought out more lenses and added IBIS to the XT series body so it would be a tougher choice now.
It's all about the results, isn't it? Why is there so much brand tribalism among photographers? I wish I lived in a "pretty" area, though I'm in as urban an area as exists and it's a street shooter' Mecca. But you're right, finding beauty in traditionally "blah" landscapes has made me a better photographer.
I like your chanel because of the w a y you shoot and not the camera you use , it doesn't make sense ,are they are following you or a camera brand 😉 I use a Nikon, sony and lately fuji , the latest fuji I bought because of its stabilisation in body and lenses, I hate tripods. The ergonomics on the sx10 is fantastic.
I have upgraded all of my Olympus cameras and lenses and am very happy with the results. I also have a Fuji XT-1 that I shoot with manual focus primes only (mostly TTartisan)… which brings me back to my early film days. All fun! P.S. Yes, no tripods, no flash!
The idea that you changing whatever tool you use to create your photography can "offend" or "enrage" people is a testimony to the damages marketing has wrought. I've been following you from some time now (more or less four years) and I've never used an Olympus camera, never got from you any kind of "imposition" to use Olympus or any other brand. I follow you for the end results, your composition, your style, your insights and your very english humor. 😉 Over the years I've dropped my fair share of "photographers" on RUclips EXACTLY because it was always "gear, gear, gear, GEAR!!!" and less and less photography. So please, keep up the good work!!
Also I follow e6, while not being an Olympus (nor Fuji) shooter. But to be honest, I always found it strange in the past, that a serious landscape hobbyist (rather than a casual holiday trip shooter) would shoot with Olympus. That system was a 'valid' addition to the photography world when it came out in 2008, but now 15 years later, it simply seems obsolete and superseded by the course of technology developments elsewhere. That was certainly also a valid-enough reason why Olympus corp. got rid of their MFT camera business eventually, dumped it to a private equity investor, and also Panasonic seems to focus on their full frame L mount by now, by the looks of it. Fuji = APS-C is the next step up, but to be very honest, in the way Fuji shares a little bit of what applies to MFT. Also Fuji lost a fair bit of relevance, since in the full frame world there seems such a strong trend towards compactness (talking about the slower, i.e. more APS-C equivalent budget lenses, of course). Even though I prefer compact, lightweight landscape equipment, my next system for this won't be Fuji, because there's no need for Fuji for such.
I have been a Fuji user for years (since before the X series, in fact) but that didn’t stop me enjoying your videos. The fact you were using Olympus was totally irrelevant, I subscribe for your calm, considered content that is a world away from the usual “Hey You Tube! Wassup?” that’s so common now. I see this as a photographer’s channel and long may it remain so, whatever you’re shooting.
I like your videos and your photos. The camera is not important, the composition is and I learn from you. However, I use the Nikon Z6, but that is me. Kind regards from Sweden!
Thank you for all your vidéos and what you are saying. I have Olympus, Panasonic and Fuji. I enjoy all of them. As long as you are taking pictures and talking of them. It is all right. Anyway, i' ll follow you. I like what you are saying. Thank you.
Enjoyable as always and so right = I will stay with you, your excellent photography AND my Olympus 😉 And yes, again you didn’t disappoint: at minute 3 I wanted to comment where the telegraph poles are - and presto, minute 4 there they where 😂
Good grief, I can't believe people left because of the equipment. How pathetic. It's about the photography, isn't it? I'm still shooting with my EM-1 mark 3, and plan to for a good long while, for my own reasons that have nothing to do with brand loyalty or slavish devotion to a format. Doesn't mean I can't get inspiration from people who don't shoot MFT.
I don't understand what all the fuss is about the camera brand? They are all more or less the same, and do the same job to a great degree. On the otherhand, I have no axe to grind because I have covered all angles as I have Leica, Nikon, Canon, Pentax, Hasselblad. Very nice photography, BTW.
I am not an Olympus user, I am not a Fuji user and - that´s my point - gear doesn’t matter. It’s all about composition and creativity, isnˋt it? Love your way to view the world and always enjoy your videos!
Lots of support comments. Fuji, Olympus, OM or whatever your gear is doesn’t matter. Like you I don’t live near pretty so I go for the everyday mundane and try to make it something better. Really happy to see you using a prime.
Craig, I would still watch your videos if you were shooting Polaroid. You have an incredible eye for a shot and I just really enjoy your style and presentation. Who cares what system you use, keep the videos coming.
I am a landscape and macro photographer, a tripod user, and i don't give a damn about camera brands. But... if i was to buy a new camera i would see video's like e6 to make my own decision. I certainly would not listen to salesman in a camerashop. They want to sell what they have in store. I have several (bad) experiences with that. As a photographer i still am interested in other skills such as street or urban photography. I say you are very good at that! Though the landscape shots in this vlog are not bad also😉
I think people that unsubscribe just because they get their panties in a twist over a different camera setup should realize something important. In the end, a camera is just a tool helping us create an image. Some tools suit some people better than others, and it doesn't really change the core concept of what you do regardless.
I don't care for what camera brand you use I am a Canon shooter. And have an Pentax Q7. My Canon will not change maybe another model but the Pentax stays forever. I have been following you for your educational content not your camera brand.
As a long time Olympus user with lots of their lenses, I recently got a Ricoh GRIIIx and love it. It does take some getting used to the lack of EVF, but I remember that my twin lens reflex cameras didn't have one either. I assume you got the Fuji for its many dials and EVF but that's what I got away from. The simplicity of the Ricoh is refreshing and the imaging quality is first rate. I look forward to seeing how you find the Fuji over time. For me, the Ricoh is like going back 50 years - no EVF, no zoom, fixed lens, but with 21st century image quality. Anyway, it's your images that I like and that's what matters.
do people really mind if the vlogger they are following is using specific brand of cameras? I'm a Canon shooter and I've never gave it a thought what the photographer in front of me is using
Now I am confused: stay or go, as I just use Canon. I am here and planning to stay for your insights, your view, your no nonsense content and your humor.
Photography talent is photography talent irrelevant which camera system you use. I only use older cameras these days (5d MK II, X-T1, E-m10 MK III) but for my type of photography, they are more camera than I'll ever need. The X-T5 is a lovely camera, enjoy it.
Your style is still excellent whatever the camera brand you use ! By the way are yiu still usinf the sony zv1 for vlogging or your new fuji ? Cheers from France
I’ve changed systems twice since I followed you (Oly to Ricoh and Sony). I did find this channel during my m43 days and still love that system but they’re just tools. It’s your compositions, commentary and overall content on why I keep watching. Being on FB groups in for different systems, the loyalty can be toxic for those not trying to improve their photography and tote specs rather than the art.
I grew up in a pit mining village in Durham and I've always loved the beauty in the contradiction between nature and industry. I think it stems from years looking at slag heaps and thinking how they looked like mountains.
Yeah,... I also lost the good vibes I used to get from using my Olympus, when they sold the company to a Japanese sushi maker (as per the joke on another channel). If the company, which I viewed as the underdog, stops being proud of their own brand, then I just can't justify using them either. Silly reason to switch? Most probably. I went to a Canon M50 II which is a very decent camera but no "ooomph" either. Much like eating porridge with hot water only. I still have a 12MP Fuji X-30 camera and that is my fun camera to use (yes, X-30, not XT-30). So I want to jump into the bigger Fuji bandwagon, but haven't decided which model to stick with. X-T5, XT-30 II or the rumored X-S20. Only time, and my wallet, can tell. Oh, and I also seem to prefer the same subjects as you. Power stations and lines, old factory chimneys, dams, any kind of big machinery, etc., etc. And I follow you, for you, although I did join "back in the day" because you used Olympus when I also did. But that quickly evolved into just enjoying your videos and your personality.
Hmmm… coming home with no images being a waste of a day? Well, not quite… you’ve been out in the countryside getting fresh air, you’ve been using your brain seeking out that elusive shot, and had exercise too. To come home with an image that wasn’t worth the effort nor worth editing might be the real waste of a day. Best regards… 🏴
Nice video. I’ve been shooting Fuji for several years. The cameras are just tools. Your view of photography is what’s important. Have been following you for a long time.

Thank you for your kind, calm and great videos!🙏🏼
Exactly this Dirk!
Haven’t done any photography for a few years, life got in the way, but I remember watching you a few years ago…. I’m so glad I’ve re found you again!
We're not here for camera brands, we're here for the music! :-)
Your eye for framing is fantastic. Thanks for sharing.
Great ending. I'll admit I do enjoy the drama when a photographer on RUclips changes gear. I found your channel because you used Olympus and I'll keep watching because your subject matter is interesting.
What a lovely Saturday morning treat, was thinking I’d not seen a Vlog from you for a while. Glad you are enjoying the XT-5 👍
Thank god I am not into camera makes or honeypot pictures! but I do have a camera and I still use it as much as possible, I love your approach to taking pictures Craig and its nice to see someone not using a tripod. Thank you for sharing your morning with us....

I have to say I almost unsubscribed when I found out you hadn't switched to Kodak. But I got over that and now back to enjoying the vlogs.
Nice video. Wonder, though, why you prefer one camera/brand for primes and one for zooms?
Size
I subscribed and watch your channel because it’s the type of photography I enjoy, the tools we use to create what we enjoy are irrelevant
Subscribed before, Craig. And still subscribed. Photography > photographic equipment. Keep on keeping on, mate.
I’ve been a subscriber from day one, the brand of camera is not important, the photo results is the only thing that counts. BTW I shoot fuji and Olympic film camera
I use Sony, but I'll subscribe to you anyway.
Good for you that you did not buy a Pentax camera. Imagine the reaction! (BTW: They are great, so are Fujifilm's.)
I think the reaction would have been better swapping to Pentax! Never tried one, but would love to.
Doesn't worry me I shoot with Pentax K1 and K5 they do what I want perfectly:
I'll admit I first tuned into your channel to see what others are doing w/ Olympus MFT gear, but that faded quickly and I stayed because I enjoy your approach to photography and your story telling. Craig, I would still watch your videos if you were shooting Polaroid. You have an incredible eye for a shot and I just really enjoy your style and presentation. Who cares what system you use, keep the videos coming.
I have Pentax cameras and subscribed a while ago because I like your images and your videos. I could not care less what camera you use.
I came here because of m43 (some time ago), but I'm using different systems anyways. So, don't worry! 😁
I’m still shooting Oly but am very happy that a trusted RUclipsr has taken the leap before me. If anything, you’ve done us a favour
You will be surprised how many fuji users have watched your content for ages, including myself.
yep, including me.
Though the landscape shots in this vlog are not bad also😉
I'm a canon user and see no reason to change but I do enjoy your videos. The camera make doesn't matter that much.
I have been following you for your educational content not your camera brand.
i use a Sony apsc camera. doesn't matter which camera we use. i love watching your videos so i watch. camera systems don't matter to me.
I'm surprised people were actually disappointed by your choice to shoot a fuji.
I'm a Canon user and couldn't give a toss what you use 🤣 I'm interested in the photography.
do people really mind if the vlogger they are following is using specific brand of cameras? I'm a Canon shooter and I've never gave it a thought what the photographer in front of me is using
What I personally find important that not all your vlogs are (too) gear orientated. The knowledge you share are the reason I keep following you.
Now I am confused: stay or go, as I just use Canon.
I am here and planning to stay for your insights, your view, your no nonsense content and your humor.
A collab with James Popsys would be great, wouldnt it?
I don't care what brand of camera you're shooting with nowadays. I'm learning from you and your channel is entertaining to watch.
Photography talent is photography talent irrelevant which camera system you use. I only use older cameras these days (5d MK II, X-T1, E-m10 MK III) but for my type of photography, they are more camera than I'll ever need. The X-T5 is a lovely camera, enjoy it.
It’s never about the gear, but as a Fuji user I’m sure your images will be even better :). Great to see another video from you.
Glad you’re happy with Fuji.
pictures and the way to shot, this counts for me. So ... still here :-)
I shoot full frame but love your channel. It's not about brand loyalty 😁
I use a Sony it’s not about the camera it’s the locations and the great photos you take
Even at least one Pentax user is watching your videos.
I would watch your stuff even if you just shot on a phone mate!
Nikon shooter here 😂 and loving your work, keep it up !
Your style is still excellent whatever the camera brand you use !
By the way are yiu still usinf the sony zv1 for vlogging or your new fuji ?
Cheers from France
Thanks. The Sony.
I would love to receive the music playlist
I've been waiting for this video.
I think it stems from years looking at slag heaps and thinking how they looked like mountains.
people get butt hurt too easy.
Im here for the puns
😊😊😊👍👍
Who's using a telegraph these days? Those are utility poles
Hasn’t quite got the same ring to it though!
I use Sony
nice
Great to see you out and about again. Can I ask what is the name of your Paramo jacket and is it lined ?
I call it Terry and no it’s not lined (whatever that means!)
…Bentu I think is the design.
