Yaa Emordi I’ve seen in a video, JW don’t believe in Jesuses bodily resurrection. Show him in a bible how Jesus promised that he will rebuild his temple in three days. Then ask him, was Jesus a liter? Look into some videos about JW heresy, there might be more advice there, I only remembered this one. 🙏

Some good points here in dealing with JW's. I think that when Paul Washer talks about prayer and the experience of God's presences, that would work well when talking with Muslims to.

Muslims have had their limbs amputated while in the state of prayers. They experience a deeper feeling that can make them defy death. In spiritual terms its called faith. In psychology it's called make believe. Scientifically the term is hallucination. Medical experts call this TLE (temporal lobe disorder)

100% correct! I was a Catholic Before I converted to JW. I couldn’t understand why I felt that God was closer to me prior becoming a JW. I felt guilty sometimes thinking that maybe I don’t belong to the ‘truth’. Thanks to the Almighty not too long ago He reveals it to me.
My problem was I didn’t have the Truth. I didn’t have the living Christ in my heart. I was worshiping a God that unreachable. What a difference since I left! I can’t stop thinking how good He is to me even though I’m shunned by family and friends because I left the religion my Lord comforts me everyday with His words. Now I’m dead to them but alive in Christ!

Very good stuff! Washer is right on! I've debated JW's for years and it is so sad to see earnest, sincere people that haven't CLUE ONE about what the Bible says. As long as you let them set the tempo and permit them to stay to script, they rock, but as soon as you force a deviation from the "company line", they're lost! The New World Translation is no more the Word of God than I am a banana split. Stick with the King James and you have God's preserved and revealed words to you!

LISTEN TO GOD THE FATHER TALKING ABOUT THE SON IN HEB 1:8
"But about the Son he says, "Your throne, O GOD, will last for ever and ever; a scepter of justice will be the scepter of YOUR KINGDOM."
The father calls his Son "GOD", but JWs refuse to do so and claim they obey God. Repent!! The Father & the Son are one. Jesus is distinct from the Father, but he is one with him. Jesus is God, unless you wanna make his Father a liar!

THE BOLD WITNESS TV if God called his son God then why did Palms 45:6 refer this scripture Psalm 45 is celebrating an Israelite king’s marriage, and the psalmist applies the words of Ps. 45:6, 7 literally to an ancient Israelite king. In fact, the trinitarian New American Standard Bible (NASB), Reference Edition, explains in a footnote for Ps. 45:1, “Probably refers to Solomon as a type of Christ.” This was refered to Solomon, are you saying that Solomon is Godl, the word God means mighty one.

@@josevalverde2656 at John 17 11 and 21 Jesus said that the apostles and him and his father are one. Does that mean that the apostles are equal to God or even equal to Jesus?. You can't use one scripture out of context to try to prove a trinity which does not exist. The Bible always tells the truth. Yes they are one in purpose but not one God. So what do you think about John 17 11 and 21? I asked this question of trinitarians and they always ignore it are you going to do the same? They ignore it because they have no answer, because it disproves their Trinity Doctrine. Hebrews 4:12 God's word is alive and exerts power and is able to discern the intentions of the heart.......

Last time a JW came to my door he kept going on about the kingdom and I stopped him and said that first we needed to establish who Jesus is. They believe He is Michael the archangel and he rejected that Jesus is God. We talked about sin and hell (they don't believe in hell) and he started saying he didn't believe a loving God would... I knew where he was going but suddenly I said "you're right. A loving God wouldn't create a being to be beaten, nailed to a cross and take the punishment we deserved. No. A loving God would do it Himself." He brushed me off, but it sure gave me chills.

They were not the first to believe jesus is Michael, the early bible scholars who wrote the 1599 Geneva bible, the bible before the king James, explained in the footnotes of Joshua 5:13-15, Daniel 10:13, and 12:1 . The teaching of God Kingdom in footnotes of Daniel 2:44,45 and John 1:1-3. An online copy of the 1599 Geneva bible (gnv) can be found at biblegateway.com
The catholic church at that time wanted there own bible through king James at which they corrupted the bible verses throughout the bible, example in Romans 13:1 where in the Geneva bible mention condemnation meaning just punishment whereas in the king James mention damnation meaning punishment in hell, God hadn't created a hell for humans to punish

I had heard this from someone:
    Read Psalm 102: 25-27
_Of old you laid the foundation of the earth,_
_and the heavens are the work of your hands._
_They will perish, but you will remain;_
_they will all wear out like a garment._
_You will change them like a robe, and they will pass away,_
_but you are the same, and your years have no end_
Then ask them to whom this passage refers to, and they will say "Oh, that's Jehovah"
Then you page over to Hebrews 1 and read:
_But of the Son he says,_
_“Your throne, O God, is forever and ever,_
_the scepter of uprightness is the scepter of your kingdom._
_You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness;_
_therefore God, your God, has anointed you_
_with the oil of gladness beyond your companions.”_
    _And_
*_You, Lord, laid the foundation of the earth in the beginning,_*
*_and the heavens are the work of your hands;_*
*_they will perish, but you remain;_*
*_they will all wear out like a garment,_*
*_like a robe you will roll them up,_*
*_like a garment they will be changed_*
    *_But you are the same,_*
*_and your years will have no end_*
They did not know how to answer this, for the reference to Psalm 102 is right there, even in the New World Translation!

Well said, as followers of the Lord Jesus Christ, all our deeds should be done in love not only because He first loved us, but also because all other people of faith are created in God's image. So, we need to first show that we love them even if we may disagree with them. We also need to lift them up in prayers that one day, they will come to the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ because no one can come to Him unless Father first draws them near to His Son. Thank you!

+Miguel Beltran I get the same experience every time I read, study, examine the Bible and learn more and more about the true GOD, JEHOVAH and HIS Son Christ Jesus. Also every time I pray to my Father in heaven through Christ Jesus, telling Him how much I love and thank HIM for all HE has done for me; and helping me to make disciples as HIS Son commanded us to do; and asking for forgiveness. This "wonderful feeling" is reflected in me, every day of my life, as I follow in Christ Jesus' footsteps...until the end comes.

So what I want to say is, don't lose confidence, and don't feel like you're somehow underachieving or not as good as you should be. People like Paul Washer have had training, practice, discipline and dedication to get them to the point they're at now. But most importantly, they let God do the driving. And that's the whole point. Don't lose heart, Dario =) "So shall My word be which goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me empty, without accomplishing what I desire," (Isaiah 55:11).

  • @cepheus0642
    @cepheus0642 8 лет назад +8

My encounter with a Jehovas Witness was pretty interesting. Interesting because I tried to argue his position theologically and philosophically. I asked him to provide me his own personal reasoning for being a Jehovas Witness because I wanted to see how he personally arrived at it. I asked him not to provide me Scriptures for this, rather his own words, and to my dismay (but also my expectation) he started dishing out Scripture relentlessly. I asked him on these terms because I wanted to have a serious discussion with another human being, and not a robot who was told what to believe and say by whatever church he happened to wander into when he was spiritually vulnerable.
I continued to press him on telling me, without Scripture, why the Jehovas Witness religion is better, and he finally told me this: I do not trust the philosophies of men.
This was pretty interesting for me, considering later on when we got to the Trinity, he said he could not believe in the Trinity because it was incomprehensibly contradictory. So basically, he said he does not trust the reasoning of man, but because man's reason which he does not trust cannot fully reason the Trinity, he rejects the trinity.

    • @michelhaineault6654
      @michelhaineault6654 8 лет назад

+cepheus06 And you,why do you believe in the trinity when there is no trinity and no trinitarians in ALL the bible? You believe in a false God elected, created by men in 325 ad ! Jesus Christ is GOD (Father) IN FLESH not another God,nor another distinct person.
Luke11:24 “When an impure spirit comes out of a person, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it. Then it says, ‘I will return to the
house I left.’ 25 When it arrives, it finds the house swept clean and put in order. 26 Then it goes and takes seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they
go in and live there. And the final condition of that person is worse
      than the first.”
You have quit a false church to get into another false church .You condition is worse because you think that you have found the true God.
God is the Father and the Father became flesh!

    • @cepheus0642
      @cepheus0642 8 лет назад +2

+Michel Haineault A doctrine does not need to be literally there in plain language to exist. There are many hidden messages in Scripture that are there for us to have revealed to us as we put the pieces together. The term "Trinity" does not need to appear in the Bible for it to be 'implied' by the Bible.
"3 But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land? 4 Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? Why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? Thou hast not lied to men, but unto God."
Peter first says that Ananias has lied to the Holy Ghost. From the outset, it is clear the "Holy Ghost" is a person, since you cannot lie to something impersonal. So from this passage, we know that the Holy Ghost is indeed a person, and not just a force. Of course, this does not prove the Holy Ghost is God, which is why we take notice of verse 4. In verse four, Peter then says that Ananias has lied to God. Since in both verses, Peter is talking about one lie - yet he identified the offended party by two names - first the Holy Ghost, and second God, we are thus left with two options:
Either Ananias indeed lied to God the Holy Ghost (since after claiming Ananias' lie to the Holy Ghost was an offense not to man, but to God), and therefore the Holy Ghost or Holy Spirit is also God in a third person, or Peter contradicted himself and therefore the Bible is fallible.

    • @michelhaineault6654
      @michelhaineault6654 8 лет назад +1

      cepheus06
You cannot understand that the Holy Ghost it's the Spirit of God? God is Spirit and He his Holy! The trinity is NEVER explicit and worse there is not even one trinitarian in all the bible!
So why are you a trinitarian? To follow the big flock who believes in the trinity of the great prostitute ?
So for you All the apostles and the prophets were all stupid peoples who never understand the nature of God as a trinity ??? In fact they never even think of such a triune God that is completely against the Monotheist God of Israel.
The trinity NEVER been teach but Paul teach us about the true God:
1Cor.8:6 yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom are all things and we exist for Him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we exist through Him.
The Father is the only true God and He became flesh. He became the Lord Jesus.

    • @cepheus0642
      @cepheus0642 8 лет назад +1

"You cannot understand that the Holy Ghost it's the Spirit of God?"
Yes, I do understand that the Holy Ghost is the Spirit of God, hence it is God. Quite honestly, I think you are splitting hairs here. You say the Holy Ghost is God's Spirit (you even capitalize its name), but yet it is still somehow not God. Like the Catholics who praise Marry as "The Mother of God" and pray to her as their medium instead of Christ and yet deny any kind of worship of her. I do not think it is I who is misunderstanding anything here. The Holy Ghost is, clearly as Peter states in the passage, at the very least a person, since he implied that Ananias LIED to it. You cannot legitimately lie to an impersonal entity. So we know that at the very least, the Holy Ghost is a living, thinking thing. Thus, even if your splitting of hairs is successful, you've not debunked the dilemma you face in the fact that this not-God Spirit of God is a Person.
"But God has revealed them to us through the Holy Spirit. For the Spirit SEARCHES all things, yes, the deep things of God" - 1 Corinthians 2:10.
The Spirit searches; only a sentient, thinking entity can perform the act of 'searching', and what we have here is a thinking, personal Spirit that can search God Himself. Who else can do that but God Himself? There are theological consequences of the view you hold: It is clear that at the very least, the Holy Spirit is a distinct person with equal power to God. So you must either submit, based on your view, that the Holy Spirit is a completely separate person who has equal footing with God, and therefore, being two equally powerful gods, or the Holy Spirit is another person of the Godhead, as Christ is also another person of the Godhead. You submit that Christ is God, that is clear, and it is clear to me that the Scriptures place the Holy Ghost in the same category of glory, divinity, power and holiness.
"The trinity is NEVER explicit and worse there is not even one trinitarian in all the bible!"
This is true if you mean the word "trinity" is not directly mentioned in the Bible, but your argument here is a two-edged sword. The doctrine of the second identiy of God (Christ) is also not directly mentioned in Scripture. The Scriptures talk almost pervasively as if Christ is but a special Son of God, yet you and I both submit that Christ is God in a second person. By your reasoning here, you must reject that Christ is also God because it is not directly taught in Scripture either.
The passage in 1 Cor 8:6 you gave me is a direct example. I could easily play the same logic and say that the passage never said directly that Christ, our Lord, was God because it says "there is but one God AND one Lord, Jesus Christ" See? It says there is one God, and THEN ONE Lord. I could just say, "See? Jesus isn't God, He's the Lord whom the One God appointed as such". I could split hairs just as easy, arguing just as you are that because it is not explicitly taught like the Trinity; duality is also not mentioned in the Scriptures.
"Now the Lord is the Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty" -2 Corinthians 3:17.
What I get from the Scriptures is that the Father is the first person, the Son the second, and the union of the two, their power and majesty combined is what emits, if you will, the Spirit, which is still God. It is the union of the first two that form the Spirit. The Father, Son and Spirit make God, just as mind, body and soul make man. You have a very interesting argument, one I've never come across before, but I do not see how you can embrace the two-personal God and be unable or unwilling to embrace the three-personal God, especially considering the theological consequences of doing so.

Someone was sent by Jehovah to do Gods will and speak Gods words, not his own.

v.10 Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion; for, lo, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of thee, saith Jehovah. The sending Messiah is clearly Jehova.

Here is the solid biblical proof that Jesus is God Almighty:
Rev 1:8 "I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is and who was and who is to come, THE ALMIGHTY."
Note the titles 'ALPHA & OMEGA", "LORD GOD" and "THE ALMIGHTY". This is Jesus speaking because he is the one "WHO IS TO COME". The previous verse even proves it (VERSE 7): "Look, he is coming with the clouds," and "every eye will see him, EVEN THOSE WHO PIERCED HIM." It is Jesus who is coming with the clouds, and Jesus is the one who was pierced on the Calvary by a Roman cross on his side John 19:34 "Instead, one of the soldiers PIERCED JESUS' SIDE with a spear, bringing a sudden flow of blood and water." So we learn that this cannot be the Father being referred to. What reason do you have to believe that it is the father being referred to. This is very clear. Jesus is Almighty God. Whatever belief you have, please address rev 1:8 above WITH SCRIPTURE.

JohnBee Jesus is God Almighty. The Son and Father are one. Rev 1 17-18 the ALMIGHTY was dead but is alive. The Father did not die but the Son died and was resurrected on the third day to become the life giving Holy Spirit to give eternal life.

Jesus also comes with glory of his father along with the Angels sitting at God's right hand on God's throne Psalms 110:1.Stick to the scriptures and you won't go wrong.Rev 21:6,7 shows that Alpha is the Father not the son because it says that those who conquer.Jesus has brothers not sons. The Father has sons not brothers!

    • @itsonlyme2746
      @itsonlyme2746 6 лет назад

      @@jazzbassf
The explaination to your last post is found in Jeremiah 33:27 which says "Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: ..."
The fact that Jesus is God incarnate in the flesh automatically makes the Father His God. From the moment Jesus Christ added humanity to His Diety God the Father became the God of Jesus Christ as well.
Now explain to me how Isaiah 44:6 says "Thus says the LORD, the King of Israel, And his Redeemer, the LORD of Hosts: 'I am the First and I am the Last; Besides Me there is no God."
However, in Revelation 2:8 it is written "These are the words of Him Who is the First and the Last, who was dead, and came to life again:"
So in Isaiah 44:6 YHWH is the First and the Last and says there's no God besides Him and yet in Revelation there's another the First and the Last Who died and came to life again. If God the Father is the Only First and the Last tell me when did He die and come to life again? He couldn't die without being God incarnate because as Jesus says in the Gospel of John 4:24 "God is spirit..." The Scriptures teach us that God is One in essence but 3 in person. May I suggest that you take your own advice and stick to the Scriptures so you will find the Truth and not depart from it because "...and His worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth." and "anyone who denies the Son does not have the Father either; he who acknowledges the Son has the Father also." - 1 John 2:23

I've been a Cult Exit Counselor for 35 years. My target group are the Jehovah's Witnesses. The issue with Jehovah's Witnesses isn't so much false doctrine. It's the authority they submit themselves to. One cannot separate Jehovah God from the Watchtower organization itself. They are one in the same seeing that the organization speaks on behalf of Jehovah God. As long as the Witnesses hold on to that worldview, attempting to show them the "error of thier ways," is pointless. Why? Simply because the only voice or truth that matters to Witnesses is what Jehovah says through the Watchtower. All other world views are viewed as lies from "Satan's organization." The documented fact is that the Watchtower does NOT claim to be inspired by God. Because it is not inspired by Jehovah God, this indicates that all Watchtower teaching is without authority, and is being made up by uninspired men - The Governing Body. (see the book, "To Every Locked Mind There Is A Key."

Another example of where taking a single verse and applying it in principle to something unrelated to its immediate context is valid:Acts 1:16- "Brothers, the Scriptures had to be fulfilled, which the Holy Spirit spoke beforehand by the mouth of..." In this case, there was a specific prophecy Peter was addressing, but the same exact words could be accredited to any of the promises/prophecies of God's Word- you just [insert name] and accurately quote and connect the promise with its fulfillment.

Jesus so perfectly reflects the personality of his Father that living with and observing him is, in effect, like actually seeing the Father. Yet, the Father is superior to the Son, as Jesus acknowledges: “The things I say to you men I do not speak of my own originality.” Jesus properly gives all credit for his teachings to his heavenly Father. Jesus never says HE IS GOD.

    • @michelhaineault6654

Jesus is not the reflect of the Father but the Father in flesh Himself . Col.2.9 For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form,............... this verse blow your "reflect" theory because IN Jesus DWELL the Father-YHWH ! This verse also PROVE that Jesus is the Father in flesh.
Do you believe in Jesus or in your opinions?
Jesus also perfectly say He is God when he said= (John10.30) Me and the Father ARE ONE ! And the Jews perfectly understand that Jesus was making himself EQUAL to the Father and this is why they try to stone him to death.

The nature of God is made evident is virtually all creation. This is how I picture it in the natural sense: A fruit like an apple has three basic parts: the seed inside, the edible pulp, and the skin. The seed alone is not the apple; the pulp alone is not the apple; neither is the skin the apple. Though they work differently, they all work together at the same time to become what we call an apple. Same with the human body: We have flesh, bones, and blood. Without any of these, the human body is incomplete yet they all work together and differently to become the body.

One thing I will say in TRUE honesty is this; we Christians sometimes IGNORE one of the KEY elements to being in the Spirit of God and walking with Christ and that is SELF-EXAMINATION. We must always examine ourselves via the Scriptures and prayer and ask the Lord if the methods and words which we use to proclaim Christ and preach the Gospel of Jesus are correct. It says that men can have hidden things but God reveals such things to man, so be persistent and fervent and zealous of yourselves in prayer, brothers and persist in the sound doctrine of Jesus Christ and His Word! God bless!

You are correct; the strength of reasoning and critical thinking does not rely on numbers, even if that number is only one. Why should it matter if a doctrine develops over centuries? As long as the doctrine is subject to being properly exegeted there is no reason to reject that doctrine, even if it developed over millennia.

If you do visit the ligonier page, simply type in the search bar "did god die on the cross". I do want to make clear my appreciation for both of your comments. I love that you want to be true to the texts and follow its teachings logically. I learned a lot through considering and investigating your responses.

Master class Paul. Absolutely bang on. As an ex-jw myself I can 100% confirm they do not have, nor do they preach the Gospel, and they most certainly do not understand who Christ is. That was the turning point in my own life. When God opened my eyes to the fact that yes, in fact, the Bible does teach very clearly that Jesus IS God, and then hearing the actual Gospel, at that very moment I was born again and God changed everything about me. Praise our Lord Jesus for actual Truth!

I think these are great ways to win an argument with a JW. But I'm learning more and more, it's not about walking away from a conversation about God with a winning, I've already won in Christ. Our jobs are to spread the true word of God and try to explain to others who God really is. I'm not saying those points are not useful, or that I disagree, but more often than not, when you let your light shine, and preach true gospel, it's more effective. Just a thought. I'm not saying I am right, it's just my personal opinion. However, in some circumstances you need to use different tactics so that people realize what they are believing or thinking is incorrect and needs adjustments

Brother Paul knows how to rightly divide the word of Truth. I heard a part of this story before in one of his preachings. I have dealt with them many times for decades but he gave me even more ammunition then I already have used. By the time I am through with them I usually say to them then you really don't know what you believe do you? They are so brainwashed and told by the elders that only the elders can study the Bible. I know because in 1984 before I got saved I took an invitation to a Kingdom Hall as I just bought my Bible. At the end of the service I asked when do we get together to study the Bible. The elders told me that they alone could study the word and teach it to the rest. At that point I said well you're telling me I can't read this and pray and try to understand it for myself, I'm gone and of course they followed me down the street trying to pull me back into that cult but I knew they were full of it

    part 2
His privileges in several areas 1. heavenly glory-while on earth He gave up the glory of a face to face relationship with God and the continuous outward display and personal enjoyment of that glory (John 17:5) ;2) 2. Independant authority-during His incarnation Christ completely submitted Himself to the will of the Father (Mat23:39, Jn5:30, Heb5:8) 3. Divine prerogatives- He set aside the voluntary display of His divine attributes and submitted Himself to the Spirits direction (Matt24:6,

Some distinctive and definitive elements missing from that definition are that a deity is the highest conceivable being- immortal, eternally existing, who has both the power of being within Himself and the power to bring into existence the things that do not exist (Romans 4:17). All other beings are finite, temporal creatures who do not possess the power of being within themselves, making them ontologically dependent on the one supreme deity.

What are you looking for? This topic was about the trinity..and you are asking a question that I am not sure of the answer or the reason for the question. I

@ChristJesusSaves I don't have a problem with witnessing to the lost, i.e. Jehovahs. The problem is, that is about as far as our preaching goes, and we have to wait for them to come to us even to fulfill that! Jesus set us the example, he went from village- village town-town going to where people were and speaking to them. He commanded us ALL to do this on a global scale, yet the only ones actually doing it are jehovahs, and they are reaping the harvest, while we sit in relative silence!

    Page 10
Attempting to identify Jesus with Jehovah, some say that ἐγὼ εἰμί (e·go′ ei·mi′) is the equivalent of the Hebrew expression ’ani′ hu’, “I am he,” which is used by God. However, it is to be noted that this Hebrew expression is also used by man.-See 1Ch 21:17 ftn.

@TruthAtlas 1) What kind of proof would you like regarding tempt having a different meaning? Tempt can mean to test or try.You can use a dictionary if you like. You can also check out these verses of God being tempted or tested in the OT (Num 14:22, Ex 17:1-2) if you like and tell me what you think. And a lot of this I have studied previously so I am mostly just writing some of this from the top of y head. I use sources to find verses that I need if I can't recall where they are.

I have found it useful to ask the false ones (whatever their affiliation) about their testimony of when they met Jesus and what He did to and for them. This either disperses them or causes the soul whose heart has not hardened to begin asking questions, although the senior goat usually pulls them away. But the Seed has been sown. Then I ask the Lord to continue to water them.

He made reference to 1 Cor 15 vs 1 through 4 and the 1st chapter of Gal. I looked at these and follow what his point was in conversing with JW's. What I don't get from you, is how has Paul Washer taken these verses "wildly out of...context." What am I missing? Can you provide your basic thought on how he went so wildly wrong here? I have talked to JW's before. The do focus more on the future Kingdom rather than the significance of Christ's death. Thanks for your comment/reply.
