They did the same thing in "Forgetting Sarah Marshall". They made Sarah seem like she made a mistake, and that Peter did little things that made her unhappy without him realizing it. Like him not leaving his apartment.

Most women just want security and companionship. Most aren't stupid, however not all of them understand that men want more than a pretty face. Men are used to living with their mothers (when they were kids), if you get a smart woman she will try emulate/replicate a lot of things that make you feel like you are back home (the good parts)...i.e. home cooked meal (if that's what you got), clean house (again if that's what you were used to), ect... and of course the physical stuff is a biological check box. Thoughtfulness is the key to everyone's heart. Best a man can do is find a rational woman that understands these things and the man to understand to do a thoughtful act every day or two to check her box as well. If you find a woman like that and you have that same thoughtful capacity, then you both are golden. The only other things to do is figure out how to budget money and remember to have a good sense of humor, because when you get up there in age this really is the glue that keeps you from breaking.

At least at the end of the movie, Reuben saw Claude again and wasn't angry at him.
It's a funny premise. IRL if someone cheats on your on your honemoon, don't be surprised if they try to poison, hire a hitman, or push you off the cliff during a sunset. They might legit hate you.

When Polly met Lisa for the first time, I was hoping that Polly would have shown and acted more interested as a girlfriend towards Reuben because when Lisa asked who she was Reuben said "this is my girlfriend Polly" with Polly saying "I'm not your girlfriend" but instead I was hoping she said "that's right, it's a shame what you did to him but I'm happy to be his girlfriend." Of course, I know Polly herself said that she wasn't the marrying type but she should have talked to Reuben about it privately. I can only hope that Reuben and Polly got married at the end since they took a trip together to the same Caribbean island telling Claude how they're working things step by step where I can only assume they got married when they went swimming towards the boat to go for scuba.

I hate it when a cheater says, "I love you." No, if that had been true, you wouldn't have cheated. Cheaters are the most selfish people around, no matter how much they say they love you or that they're sorry, it doesn't change the fact they jumped in the sack because getting the Big O from someone else was more important than being faithful. It's a good scene and I like that Rueben shows her the door, literally. The time for talking was already over. @Beth Roney At least Reuben stood up to Lisa at the end when she asked him if they can go out to eat after his job is over for the day and he said that he won't get back together with her after making love to a scuba instructor on their honeymoon when they were married where he considered that as cheating on him.

@@bethroney2869 That's true that Lisa is very uncaring as Reuben's best friend Sandy noticed since he (Sandy) said that he saw a bad look on her face at the wedding on the video and told Reuben to enjoy a life of freedom being single. However, Lisa broke Reuben's rule saying that if she changes her mind, not to come back to him but she still came back after saying that she got bored hearing Claude talk about scuba all the time when of course Claude didn't have a choice since he has a job on the island teaching scuba and certifying people by going from people to people asking if they're interested.

@@bethroney2869 Well, in the spot where Reuben stood up to Lisa that he will not be getting back with her calling himself a "fool" if he did, Reuben's father had a look on his face towards Lisa like he was saying "that's a good point, shame on you for cheating on Reuben." When Polly met Lisa for the first time, I was hoping that Polly would have shown and acted more interested as a girlfriend towards Reuben because when Lisa asked who she was Reuben said "this is my girlfriend Polly" with Polly saying "I'm not your girlfriend" but instead I was hoping she said "that's right, it's a shame what you did to him but I'm happy to be his girlfriend." Of course, I know Polly herself said that she wasn't the marrying type but she should have talked to Reuben about it privately. I can only hope that Reuben and Polly got married at the end since they took a trip together to the same Caribbean island telling Claude how they're working things step by step where I can only assume they got married when they went swimming towards the boat to go for scuba.

Oooh, stuff like this really grinds my gears. The audacity to come back to someone you freaking cheated on, and casting judgment. I’ve known women like this, and they are just the lowest of the low. Plus, it never showed Reuben going to the judge to arrange for a divorce to explain that his wife left him which means Reuben and Lisa were still together but Reuben kept his distance from her.
