@@markashlock9017 it's a very fine tooth saw and doesn't get the "chatter" that a cutoff chisel gets. But I don't always use it it's just another way I do it. Also it is a very inexpensive saw from harbor freight for about $5 or so.
You’re the first turner I’ve ever seen using a saw to part with. There’s got to be a reason that using a saw isn’t more common? Interesting.
