I played this game at way too young an age. That said, this was a far better drug deterrent for me then any public service announcement on TV back then. I'll never forget this mission or how it accurately portrayed drug addiction and problems. When I was homeless I stayed far away from crack and the hard stuff because of this.

Re playing this game you really appreciate the story even more so many layers to it. The whole first half game you see sweet desperately trying to keep his hood together and lowkey Ryder and smoke are teaming up against him to undermine his every move. Every mission their are undermining you for the most part. Big smoke trying to convince sweet to sell drugs Ryder lowkey on smokes side and cj walks in the room and shifts the balance of power so smoke and ryder have to act down.
True about Smoke, but Ryder seems to be loyal and missions with him are beneficial for the Grove.
@@jacekbargie5638 during the mission house party he says he is coming back when grove gets ambushed and he just leaves...thats a set up.
During the mission renuting the families ryder and smoke bail on u. Anoyher set up

@@ziggazaggar Yeah that’s true but Ryder actually smokes weed mixed with PCP. And if you don’t know what PCP is, it’s usually an anesthetic tranquilizer used on animals for surgeries that people for some reason use as a recreational drug. 😂 It’s really addictive I guess too, so Ryder definitely can’t talk that much shit on crackheads in that sense. He also starts to manufacture his own PCP by cooking it like crack or meth inside of his house too lol.

But what's sad, that Big Smoke and Ryder are betrayed the grove. At the Mission "The Green Sabre" I played it on my Ps2 I was there 9 Years old (2004) and Cried, cuz I saw Smoke and Ryder betrayed the grove.

The one thing I hate about this game is that Ryder turned out to be a villain, he could have been one of the greatest characters in video games but rockstar really blew it, even his betrayal wasn't executed right like smoke
