I'm a new subscriber, and I've only watched a few videos so far, but I find that for some reason I unfalteringly trust her lol like if she told me to use a big brush to rub mud on my cheeks to contour, I would do it and it would look fabulous :) what a beautiful woman, and such talent! I feel like she is the "Mom" of all makeup tutorial creators :) (In a good way of course)

That's okay. Maybe don't start with contouring or bronzer in the beginning because it can get tricky(especially cream) a good style to start out with would be basic stage makeup because it still adds a nice pop to ur face. Hope this helps
everyone has a diffrent way of doing makeup yours doesnt have to be exactly like hers for it to be really pretty just find what works for you
I started doing makeup probably in November last year, and now I find I'm good at it. Of course I'm not completely happy with it, but you just have to practice! And it makes you so happy, when you master to do a good foundation base or a well blended crease! Just practice it's so much fun!

I've watched countless contouring videos. Your's mashes the most sense. I have a round face, but most of the videos out there are by girls with much thinner faces. That makes it difficult to translate to where things go on my face. Thank you for taking the time to explain the way you did. You're absolutely gorgeous!

So I had a Crazy amazing Dream the other night. I dreamed that you came to visit me because we were BFF's ;) and you swatched a Lip Gloss on my Hand and it turned Pink on my arm. Then you said in Surprise "Oh my Gosh your Pregnant!" I was like No Im not. Then you said that this particular lipgloss changes color when a girl is pregnant.. I was like oh wow! It was a great dream. Not only were we hanging out but you gave me the best news EVER. Thanks lol. Oh and Great video as always. Yes don't forget to do the cream Contour Video too. Nyx blush in taupe, the elf contour kit is nice. Brush: morphs m438, elf is contouring brush is similar and BETTER to the nars one
a really nice bronzer i like to use for contour is Wet 'n Wild bronzer in ticket to brazil. i also like to highlight with my Nudes palette from H&M and i use the middle shade! the bronzer was about 5 or 6 $ and the palette was $5! hope this helped!!

Nyc sunny bronzer is great essence eyeshadow no 17 is great for contouring essence blushes are perfect too. Wet and wild blushes are perfect. For highlight you can use any light colored eyeshadow really. Hope it helps 😘😘

Super impressed by you. Retired mua here..love your technique..it really shows your training. Reminds me of my old teacher...you dont see a lot of classic technique with the abundance of male makeup artists who mainly do makeup on themselves.. which looks a little to draggy...this is geared towards a softer everyday appearance. While still being done. Brava my dear.

I'm so glad that someone answered your question nicely. Normally in makeup, people think they're better than someone when a person doesn't know how to do something and is really mean when answering. You stay you girl!
contouring makes the face appear slimmer and more structured not adding warmth as it is more brown than orange and bronzing makes the skin more tan and DOES warm the face.

Highlighter makes your face shiny and glowy in the areas you place them, some people don't like highlighting, but I do :)

I can't contour like that because i have acne right there on my cheek / temple, so if i do it just darkens it up even more and causes it to be more obvious.

Lex Zeppelin I have the same problem! What I have found works for me is doing my normal foundation/concealer routine. Then setting my makeup very well. Then, once you start using the contour (I think a powder works better) apply it with a brush or even a sponge and pat. The patting motion allows you to build up a good amount of colour without smearing off your foundation and revealing your breakouts. You can blend out the edges where you don't have breakouts so it doesn't look harsh. Let me know if it works for you

I have the exact same problem but I doubt the best make up to suit my skin and my acne vanishes. Like you don't notice my huge volcanoes sticking out from my skin! Try Mac Pro long wear foundation as the more coverage your have and setting powered the more it will conceal your acne and hide the "lumps" I found that if I used benifits holla bronzer it make my acne and skin worse so I use all the produces in this video along with my cream from my doctor and I look completely different!

Nikkie, you mention the MAC 163 brush for your contour, but the 163 is a flat contour brush that doesn't look like the one in your video. Did you mean to mention a different brush? The 138 or the 168 look more like the one in your video.

I can imagine how she might have misread the 8 as a 3. Often the numbers rub off partially with use. On some of my brushes they've even come off completely.

She pulls it off fine, but I don't think I could get away with stopping the bronzer two thirds of the way down my face. It looks a bit strange when the bottom of the face is basically a different colour. Just not my style I guess.

I have purple hair and extremely pale pale skin, and i use a light taupe eyeshadow from the Max Factor 4 color palette "Raisin Collection"...also i use the Covergirl eyeshadow single a matte color called Jammin...THAT i really must blend out because it is dark. Its a challenge finding reasonably priced greyish taupish colors to contour skins like mine,i bet anybody can find a shadow that fits their skin hue

But... How do you do anti-contouring? Well you see, my face, my cheeks are very strongly pronounced anyways, so I don't contour at all since it would make me look even more freakisch if I laugh. Do you suggest to not contour at all or to even lighten that part a bit?

LeCat Well theoretically you would apply contour to where your supposed to highlight and highlight where your supposed to contour. But I don't know if that would look good or not.
LeCat my guess would be not to contour where you highlight for that would misshape your face. What you should probably do it highlight where you contour with probably a matte highlighter to try and fill those spaces. I'm guessing you have hollow cheeks, so this way you can puff them up! And using a matte highlighter on your actual cheekbones with give dimension without making your face super shiny because of all the glimmering highlighter! 😂 I could be wrong but this makes sense in my brain lol
