Awesome! I really appreciate that comment. That's really what I'm trying to do with the channel...create videos that take people out with me that want to explore and learn or that due to mobility or location are unable to experience nature the way that we do.
This one brought a smile to my face as I have hiked and stood in several of those same spots for elk. Some very nice footage and I loved the fall colors. Last year I was there last week of September. How was the rut activity level in early October, bugling, etc? Did it drop off? I am considering first week of october this year. I was blessed to get the water crossing shot last year, hope you get yours this year!
Thanks so much! The activity was definitely lighter when I was there. But it could have been crazy a day or two before or after. The best part was that there weren’t crowds like there is earlier in the season. Unfortunately, I probably won’t make it out there this year. It’ll be the first year I’ve missed in a long time.
Great video. I’m planing a visit soon from NC with my R7. Did you photograph these at the Elk County visitor Center? Where are some nearby places to go to get photographs? Thanks!
Thanks for watching! The best encounters that I had were at the Visitor's Center. Another great spot to check is Winslow Hill. The rut is over now, and the big hunt happened a few weeks ago, so I'm not sure where the hot spots will be when you're here.
Felt like I was out there with y’all. Great elk footage and photos! Thanks!

Awesome video, I just booked a campsite for this October. Really hoping I get half as lucky as you spotting Elk!
Thanks so much! Hope you have a great time and see lots of elk!
Looks like a great trip! Great video!
Thanks Robert! The sightings were short, but we had a great time! Hope you're feeling okay!
@@matthewgehly glad to hear you had a great time. And I’m doing okay. Actually just got home from another hospital visit. But we’ll get through this.
@@robert636_ Ugh. Hang in there!
Great shots and a place to add to my bucket list for a visit!!
Thanks so much! It’s definitely a cool place! 😁

I’m looking forward to seeing how that new RF 200 800 is going to be on the R7
I grew up in NEPA and never knew PA had elk. I've seen them out west tho.
It's a pretty large herd now. Really cool to have them so close without driving across the country. Thanks for watching! 😀
