I spoke with a home owner of Benezette in the summer of 2023. That person said to me. "Frist the elk come, they eat all my flowers, vegetables, knock down my fences and shit everywhere. Then the people come, they knock down my fences, park in my driveway and shit everywhere."
    Great Video - Well Done!

I have lived here in central PA my entire life. From Benezette, Renovo/Kettle Creek, Coudersport, Pike Creek. Lots of cools small towns all over the place. My favorite Forests to hike in PA are Loyalsock SF, Worlds End SP, Pine Creek Gorge, Bald Eagle SF & SP, Austin Dam memorial park, Elk Forest. List goes on. PA has some amazing hidden gems and waterfalls all over the place

I grew up about ten miles from Benezette. I've been there a number of times since moving to Virginia Beach and it never fails to lift my spirits, There's nothing like seeing an elk to make you stop and appreciate what mother nature has to offer. This was a very nice documentary and I even learned a few things I didn't know.

My wife and I bought property in Benezette in 2004 to use as a hunting camp. But after that we fell in love with the area and the people and decided to make it our permanent home. And we did not make a mistake. We built a new cabin in 2011 and moved here permanently in 2016. And could not be happier. God bless and thank you for showing our area in such a great way.

I have been there many times. The first few times I did not see elk but still enjoyed it. A local gave me a tip to find the elk and I did. I found a herd and the herd seemed to follow me all day. Great place to visit.

The narrative/commentary is outstanding. Really lit some emotion of my own longing. I live in Tyrone, PA and have visited on occasion, but this spurs a more in-depth view. God bless and keep up the great content.

I own a cabin a few miles from Benezette in the village of Grant. I hunt, fish and enjoy being outside in this area monthly. I know the forests and creeks nestled in eastern Elk and southern Cameron Counties better than my resident neighborhood in the South Hills of Pittsburgh. When I am not in north-central Pennsylvania, I am thinking when I will be there again. My heart lies in the Pennsylvania Wilds. I also personally know several of the people interviewed in this short film. These are wonderful people that have a passion for not only this region but sharing it with visitors, too. Visitors are welcome to enjoy, conserve, love and protect these public lands. Go for a hike. Do some fishing. Hunt. Enjoy a camp fire. Swim or tube in the Bennett Branch of the Sinnemahoning Creek. Follow the rules and respect our wilderness, waterways and wildlife. Protect it and leave it as you found it.
Thank you for presenting this special region beautifully in this documentary. I appreciate this effort. Very well done.

We have been going to my buddy’s camp for the last 10 years for our golf trip. My favorite place to go. We play a few courses including treasure lake. We visit Straub brewery and fish. No cell service in most spots it’s so relaxing. Right by medix run I love it there

I take a ride every summer from my hometown Clearfield down 879 through Frenchville and Karthaus to Benezette. This is a relaxing beautiful drive the forest is thicker and different, it's great seeing the wild life along the way particularly the Elk. This is a great video on a small beautiful town.

I discovered Benezette and elk country in the early 1990's. Long before that &^%$#@( visitor's center was built or even thought of. You could roam the Saddle and Gray Hill freely. You could photograph elk, with caution, from 60 yards away. I fell in love with the area and visited to hike and camp for the next 15 years. Fast forward to 2006. Now it is overrun by loud obnoxious people with no regard for property or wildlife. They stand puffing on a cigarette, yelling back and forth to one another and wonder why they haven't seen any elk. When they finish their smoke, they flick the filtered butt on the ground. One that may biodegrade in 20 or 30 years. I still visit the Moshannon and Elk State forests, but I seldom go into town and I sure don't patronize the Visitor's Center. If I see elk down below the Quehanna Highway, that's great. If I don't, so be it. At least I'm not in a traffic jamb on 555 or listening to people scream back and forth at one another who think they've visited a petting zoo.

You are very wrong, though honestly any sign of government is pretty far away. Not everything has to be political. Go enjoy nature. The elk don’t care who you vote for.
