  • recipe
    1 kg icing sugar (suzan)
    6 tablespoon of water
    1tablespoon of gelatine ( leveled)
    1 tablespoon of cmc. ( leveled)
    2 tablespoon of glucose ( heapful)
    cornflour to knead

    Can this recipe be used in any weather in Nigeria (raining or harmattan season)

      Yes that's what I use in all seasons here in port Harcourt, but remember some glucose are thicker than some, so in a situation where you have a very thick glucose; all you need do is to reduce your glucose by making sure it's not so heaped full, rather add little extra water to your fondant when you discover that it's still very hard after exhausting your gelatine mixture. And I only do this when we are in the peak of a raining season, but for harmattan I just follow this exact recipe and am totally good to go( remember I said when you are working with a thicker glucose)

    Well done ma'am. What if I want the fondant shine can I use shortening?

      Yes you can use your vegetable shortening to clean off the remainant of cornflour from your already decorated fondant cakes

    Thank you, can I use it to cover a cake or is just meant for maybe molding I have a recipe of egg white I didn't enjoy covering a cake with it
