- I bought some lowering springs from H&R, and decided to make a video to show how its done. It was actually quite easy! Id say 4/10, for how hard it is.
If your interested check out my previous videos, I rebuild this car from a really hard side impact!
Guys thanks so much for continuing to support the builds and the Channel itself.

Used your walkthrough to get my rear done. Thank you for your step by step! Helped me all the way!
That’s awesome! Glad I could help!
You make this look easy I hope it is not bad at all
Nice!!! 👌👌👌🔥🔥🔥
Good stuff!
Thanks G
Thanks for sharing well done!
Your very welcome!
Great DIY! ...but dude, STOP hitting the camera with your hand, that part is just annoying.
Understood..
Good video. I have done this job on several Audis and VW's and you shouldn't have to remove so many control arms. The way you did it is fine, but would definitely require a full alignment afterwards. That may be why your rear wheel well was so wonky after the upgrade.
Nice
Did you torque down the axle nut?
What MM lowering springs are these?
No clue! I just bought them off eBay, it’s specific to this car, they don’t make different sizes
Good video! I'll be following this when I get mine 😁 are you enjoying the car so far? I've been hunting for an S but think I'll probably end up going with a clean well optioned base model.
Get the GTS if you can.. base is a good car, however it is slow. But if your not in a hurry to get from point a to b, then the base is perfect.. I haven’t driven the car a lot, I’ve been storing it for the winter. I’ll be doing a review on it later!
@@sidehustlegarage4399 oh man I'd love a GTS but I'd probably have to part with my E92 M3 to afford one 😭 lol. I've heard the same thing regarding the base being a bit slow and I'm at a pretty high elevation on top of that. Excited to see the review, thanks bud!
Is it 10mm lower?
Where did you go no new videos?
Great video! How did you get the lower control arm/camber bolt out? I had gotten the nut off but the bolt appears to be under a good amount of load, and I don't recall there being much space to tap it out with a hammer (on the passenger side/right side of the car when at the rear).
I think I had to tap it out, carful with the tip to not bend the threads. You can also put a flat head screw driver in the split while you turn it with an impact?
How was the ride quality?
Felt good! Rode really good!
Whats the best way to torque more than 340lbs for the axel nut?
Put the wheel on, drop the car and tighten the bolt with a big bar
Why do you keep hitting the camera a whole lot?
Always wanted to do this to my 981, but the ground clearance seems too low for my local automated carwash.
It is extremely low...
You shouldn’t be taking your 981 to a car wash!
@@williamjackson5357 hand wash will be my only option..
You got torque spec for all the bolts and nuts? Especially axel nut?
I googled them
Put a lowering spring in my 981 and getting an initial thunk noise when doing tight turns out of the garage and just upon the first drive out during the day tuning the wheel. It goes away after this initial spring bind. Can you offer any advice on how this could be happening? Any thoughts are appreciated. btw. Had a shop do the work, so not sure what's up but starting to drive me crazy! thanks.
Sounds like something is loose. If u had a shop do it then go back and ask them to take a look.
Hey man, looking forward to do the same thing to my 981. How is the space with the 19" wheels? Do they rub anywhere? I'm from switzerland so they are quite strict here
The way I had it, they rubbed on one wheel only, Porsche 981 have a starter problem with the rear ends, one side sticks out more than the other.
Do you have Wheel spacers? If so what sizes? Looks great
Yes, 12mm I’m back and 7 in front, u can do 15 for back but then ur gonna rub.. 12 was perfect
Hi, can you do 10 in the front ? Or it will rub ?
You never drove it during the video how does it ride? you made this look too easy.
It was easy, rode FANTASTIC
You never mentioned torque specs
Torque hand tight 🤭
Did you keep it?
Yes I still have it!
@@sidehustlegarage4399 Great! How do you like it? I bet you want the GT now?
What did you purchase it for?
@@jcastaneda8977 yea I want a gt4..
You have some good neighbors across the street. #Trump2024
That cliche hand slap to the lens thingy you do every few seconds is annoying beyond words. Stop doing that!
