Considering the “Sergeant Cork” series were made in the 1960s, I think the story lines are excellent, and acting really good, making for very entertaining viewing. Thanks so much for making them accessible for viewers in the mid 2020s
Friends @ VBT -- Thanks so much for uploading this great series for all of us to enjoy! This is quality television: Great storytelling, acting and production! Much appreciated! ❤ - M.
Loved it, but as always in these, I would love to have the loose ends tied (what happens to the various characters). I know it is silly as it is a fiction, but still.
Yes, for example, did Brewster get away with his fraud? It seems there would be plenty of evidence to convict him, if the missionary and Piggott were willing to testify. Even if he didn't commit murder, he certainly worked to ruin a lot of people.
I see there is one writer on all or most of the episodes, right to the end, named Ted Willis. I think it is probably to him we owe the ongoing quality of the episodes. I am trying to watch these in order, although some of the first two series are still missing, and the quality is consistently high. p.s.: interesting turn of phrase near the end, from the missionary: "What was to be your reward?" "A continent, ready for salvation. A harvest of black souls ready to be gathered into the light." Double meaning for the word "black?" I hope that was not the writer's intent.
