Gotta admire Ken, he was so happy for Zac that he made it till the end, also making him grow his confidence thoughout the course by giving hints about where they were, what a cool guy. And Zac.. You Did It man!! So proud of you 🙏❤
Ken will always be my favorite race car driver. Not only i admire him because of his driving skill but also the way he works with people around him seems and feels like he's genuine all the time
Zac just needed some assurance that he was reading the notes right for ken when ken gave him some assurance that he was on the right track he did so much better don't give up zac you can do it
It looks super hard to remember where you're at in the stage, even with how fast Zac seemed to be reading he was behind. You probably have to go study each track like the day before a test, but I know they don't always get that much time for each track.

Speaking Pacenotes is just freaking AWESOME!!! Granted, I only do it in rally sim games (Richard Burn Rally many years ago, DiRT Rally after that and now DiRT Rally 2) but when that _CLICKS_ it's a most rewarding experience! It's like the rally stage becomes semi-transparent and you can see where the road is going _beyond the line-of-sight_ which feels like a super power. Attacking a rally stage 10/10 while you don't know the stage by heart is amazing.
Audi will provide all the cars for his professional work (rallying, Baja 1000 if he and Alex do it again, etc.) but Ken still has his personal collection that he can drive whenever he’s not doing sponsored racing, so his RS200 and his Raptor still belong to him, along with all the cars he’s been racing this year.

Co drivers are just as crucial as the driver. Like when your driving around a town you don't know and you have your buddy telling you the Google maps instructions if he tells you too late or soon misses a turn it's annoying

I don't even know what's harder driving or co-driving. 😂 I mean driving that fast is pretty hard but I reckon co-driving is way more scary because you don't feel in control.
And most folks think that ya just get inna cool car and drive fast. It’s definitely a natural ability-but there’s so much skill and dedication and science involved. Great video guys!!
I’ve loved World Rally for a long time. I think the hardest part is played by the co driver. No control of the car, along for the ride, and having to read the notes while bouncing around in the car. Screw up and ya might find yourself flying off the road.
Zac needs to put little page marks at places in the course where he can catch up...the biggest problem is keeping up with the turns, and he knows he'll loose track, so Zac needs several flagged pages correlated to easy to spot areas on teh course to get back on pace. Ex: Ken is like "here's the straight"...flag that page in the notes, and find at least 4-5 others.
Riding as codriver and never looking up. You have to have absolute faith in the driver. I’m sure it comes with time. There must be a real bond between driver and codriver to make this work.
Not only do you have to make good notes and read them in time you have to keep yourself from getting car sick 🤢. Do driving isn’t as glamorous but it does look properly difficult 😂
Zac your mistake is you are looking up more then you are reading as am rally drive and a co-driver always advice new people as co-driver keep there eyes on the notes more in the corners lift up your head in the stright line as you say 50 look up to confirm 👍 good luck buddy

I'VE ALWAYS WONDERED HOW THE COPIOLET DOSE IT HE MEMORIES THE ROAD EVEN THOUGH AT TIMES LOOKING AT THE ROAD DURING A RACE IT'S ONLY TO MAKE SURE HE'S CALLING IT RIGHT IT'S KINDA LIKE TAKING THE SAME ROAD TO WORK WHERE YOU KNOW ALL THE DIPS AND BUMPS IN THE ROAD IT'S SORT OF THE SAME CONCEPT BUT IN A FASTER PACE.
Not sure about that aero the canard on the fender is blasting the side windows with all the mud spray making it impossible to see anything out the driver and passenger windows.
