What a great episode. Love watching McHales Navy I grew up watching the antics n great comedy of the show. Thank you so much for providing this wonderful series on your channel. Have a blessed day! Gene Outerbanks of North Carolina!!
So many memories of this time period. I was in jr high and high school from ‘65-70 and grew up with several classic shows like this one. My oh my have things in our world changed since then. I know full well that things were not just peachy back then either, but compared to what’s going on now I would gladly take it in a heartbeat.
"Oh, why can't McHale be stuck with a wife like the rest of us!" ~ Joe Flynn makes this line work. Ernest Borgnine, Tim Conway, Joe Flynn, and the rest of the crew are the perfect ensemble cast. The writing is sweet, funny, and naive. I love this show. Thank you, Jackie Boy!
ALL OF THESE VARIOUS OLDER CLASSIC TV EPISODES ARE REALLY GREAT TO SEE ONCE AGAIN SO MANY YEARS AFTER THE DAYS OF OUR YOUTH WITH MANY NOW VERY WELL KNOWN ACTORS BEFORE THEY REACHED THEIR ULTIMATE FAME - THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR FINDING AND POSTING THEM HERE.
McHale is wearing a watch on his right arm while standing on the quay after Kilarny Kate leaves, a couple of strides later and it disappears from his right arm. He then announces that his wallet and watch have been stolen Kilarny Kate. Spooky action at a distance or a continuity error?
if you look at his arm before he realize's the wallet is gone you can see the face of his watch up on his arm! which really was a old swabbies trick not too loose it too a pick pocket!
I miss all the shows it was so funny to watch ..now i watch the old movies on u tube ...its sad they dont play them on tv in tell late night take all the crap off snd place theses old movies their better movies now a days is aboout murder and crap
Joyce Jameson was a beautiful and talented actress but we never knew the hell she was going through. She was suffering from a very severe depression thus she committed suicide at young age from an overdose of pills I’ll always remember her fondly 😪
She appeared twice on Hogan’s Heroes, did one episode of Barney Miller and had a brief appearance as a reporter in Death Race 2000. Extremely talented indeed.
Alot of the actors are gone now we have crappy actors its all about drugs and sex thats why the kids are actting up these days we need funny movies something to laugh at .comedy is what is needed.
Yes, Erin Thorkildsen. Technically. Remember Vichy? France had a far-flung colonial empire that the Germans could NEVER occupy. How would you invade Martinique?
More common than what most people know. The Navy even has a term for it: "unaccompanied tour of duty". Usually it went like this: the service member collected the money (housing, subsistence, etc) and the fake spouse received medical, dental, exchange, commissary and base privileges. And, if she had any kids, they did too. Every time I met someone on an "unaccompanied tour", well, I always wondered....
@@kencarney5456 I like that "WEST PAC Widows". My ship, USS San Bernadino (LST 1189), was homeported in Sasebo, Japan, so, I never made a WEST PAC cruise. I was already there. I guess that's why I never heard that phrase.
@@dwightgrifka4382 Of course it’s fiction, genius - but they’re portrayed too much as lazy, thieving party animals, who are useless - compared to another show like the black sheep squadron where they play hard but also fight hard.

I Watch McHale Navy In 2019
Love this show
Gruber is a con to his heart but even though he is somewhat greedy, Mchale reins him in to help for a good cause!
Mc Hale: “That boy has enough connivance in him to steal the 7 fleet.”
Very true
McHale is wearing a watch on his right arm while standing on the quay after Kilarny Kate leaves, a couple of strides later and it disappears from his right arm. He then announces that his wallet and watch have been stolen Kilarny Kate. Spooky action at a distance or a continuity error?
At 24:04 McHale HAS His watch... But At 24:06 It Disappeared That Kate Is Pretty Slick. LOL
Very observant.
She probably makes Gruber look like an amateur.
Joyce Jameson.....one gorgeous gal......
And funny too!
Party girl from Andy Griffith

Isn't Miss O'hara one of the "Fun Girls" from the Andy Griffith Show ?.
Joyce Jameson, I think.
She was also featured in one episode of Hogan's Heroes during the second season.
Too Bad McHale never got pissed off enough to shell Binghamtons hut...
Only because the states might send someone just as bad or worse than Binghampton or someone that can be a pigeon for them!
Oh man..!!! Binghamton almost got McHale

WHAT A DAME UHH❗🤓
Funny how Capt B is singing a song, from a movie that hadn't even been made
Maybe Capt B's version was the first version that later inspired the whole song LOL.

If you haven’t read her biography please do!
She was Skippy on Andy Griffith Show.
Wasn’t France under German occupation during WW II?
Yes, Erin Thorkildsen. Technically. Remember Vichy? France had a far-flung colonial empire that the Germans could NEVER occupy. How would you invade Martinique?

I just wish they would have fought the enemy half as hard as they played around, goofed off, and stole military equipment.
They did. That's why the admiral put up with so much coming from them.
That's not this show. That's on "Combat!"
@Chad….fun to watch I watch them over and over again. I think we won that one, too.
