- Motorola Moto g73 is the new mid-range 5G smartphone by Motorola and I give you my hands on overview with camera samples, this is powered by the new Dimensity 930 5G chipset, which offers 5G on both sims it has a 6.5" IPS LCD FHD+ Screen with 120hz refresh rate, has stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and comes with 50MP (Ultra Pixel Camera) + 8MP Ultrawide + Macro camera and a 16MP front camera and has a 5000 mAh battery with 30W charger.

It's High time reviewers should start highlighting Moto's pathetic update situation more and more. Even their Flagships are not getting software updates regularly
And same camera since moto g31
No update in Edge 30 Ultra too 😮
In most of their Android 12 running devices, the device has some serious network issues due to which apps do not work properly (e.g in moto g51 5G).
No jio 5g update for moto edge 20 pro still
I actually use moto edge 30 and i get regular security updates... dont know abt other models tho
A great smartphone. This is a smart move to give dimensity chip set which is the main reason for the pricing. Many brands should learn from moto on how to make great smar phones in the midrange segment with great pricing...

I have been using the moto edge 30 for the last 5 months . It was great , i really like the pixel like experience, no bloatware and all that but recently i have been experiencing problem with the power button . It does not give that click as it used to give and by comparing with the height of the volume buttons I think the height of the power have reduced and it has become really difficult to turn on/off the phone , as they also don't give the feature to double tap to sleep/wake i have to rely on third party launchers . Also I visited the service centre for the same and it was a bad experience.
The sales executive there also mentioned that lot of people using the same phone have this problem so are Motorola selling cheap hardware for 24k.
And also it's March 11 still has not received android 13 update . I think moto needs to improve on these 3 things
1) Timely android and security updates
2)Better service
3)better hardware

@@syedashrafulhaq1636 There is no tap to wake / sleep feature on moto phones . But there is a peek display features, but it is highly sensitive and wakes on the slightest movement of the phone .And when it wakes if it is contact with body, fingerprint sensor starts detecting . I have noticed it many times after i take my phone from the pocket .

New apps by moto are great especially that pin lock and security... If one buys moto you need to install 3rd party apps. They should optimise their device, give dual app support and add a gallery app instead of Google photos. This will then be the new one plus

I think for hardware specs Motorola is good only the software side it is down due to the delay in updates and less optimisation in stock camera app that moto use

That's why samsung is better I'm using nearly 2 year old samsung f62 and got android 13 two months ago and also one ui 5.1 this week
@@harijha7560 even i am feeling that. I had m21(2020) before g82. The software experience was crap. Lot of jitters, lag, bloatware. They did push android 11 and 12 on time rather before timeline but it was not smooth. So decided to buy g82. No doubt software experience is amazing. It's fast, snappy and clean plus with the 120hz 10bit poled it feels like a premium phone.
I felt 10bit is a gimmick but when I compared few shows on Netflix on both m21 and this phone there was a clear cut difference and was noticeable.
But yes Samsung really killed with android 13 updates.
How's ur experience with f62 post android 13 update?
@chinmayteli110 experience is good for normal usage I only use was watching ott and RUclips videos I don't do gaming so it's working flawless and battery life is also good

Others brands are struggling with android 13 where as samsung has also given a semi majour kind of updates from one UI 5(November) to 5.1 (March)

Yeah. G72 without 5G was biggest piece of crap. Imagine getting NFC in g52 with sd480 but not in g62 with sd695 while its the same chip in g82 but with nfc enabled. This is ridiculous at best.

I bought G72 just few days back when I saw G73 will not have POLED or under display fingerprint or anything. Because I mostly use WiFi data. Also, now I saw that Moto introduced some folders that show recommendations. So I don't regreat my purchase as of now 🤣

Sahi kahe ho sir. Iski display ki 120Hz refresh rate ke sath flawless screen quality provide karegi. Thanks to powerful dimensity processor.
Other than android 13 update they are actually giving all regular updates. So it’s fine. Thankfully we are not any bad updates which is giving green lines like other brands.
I appreciate that moto is doing good things like pure Android and good design for flagship products. But when it comes to update section they suck the core. I'm using edge 30 ultra still no sign of Android 13. Such a shame.

A good quality IPS LCD 120hz is way better than cheap quality OLED. The same thing these companies doing with smartwatches, giving worst quality amoled at a cheap price. Which is very bad.
While talking abt the new devices pls do mention if the parts are available in case damage. I broke Motorola G82 screen and the service centre keeps saying they dont have the replacement parts. Then whats the point of buying these devices even if they are so called cheaper than the competition coz mine isnt cheqp anymore, its dead. Money down the drain had to buy another one from Samsung. Hopefully they have all the parts in place….

Finally the end consumer will make sensible choice.
Just think dont we ask the same question while buying a car - hows the afyer sales service. Thise comoanies that took this issue lightly either suffered in sales volume or resale of their cars.

Why did they ditch moto g82 or g52 design?? they were better looking with very narrow bezel
you cannot have narrow bezel especially at the bottom on IPS display.
Woulve loved it if Motorola brings a phone with FHD OLED with Dual SIM+ MicroSD card slot and a hybrid like Samsung did with their phones.

18K mein toh koi dikkat wali baat nahi hain. Yeh toh soch raha hoon apne chhote bhai ke liye le daalu, gaming ke liye Dimensity series wale processor mast hote hain!
Colour optimisation is still an issue in moto cameras. There is a very noticeable colour difference between the primary sensor and the ultrawide sensor.
Pls suggest which phone should I buy, moto g82 5g or moto G73 5g
One suggestion: could you please just change your desk colour other than this yellow? It just sometimes stings in the eyes especially when you have a vivid amoled display.

PS Feedback, Atleast Moto must provide a RECORDING APP ( basic audio recording , not saying about call ) and Applock in MOTO G71. Normal voice recorder app comes handy in meetings/ note making. And improve network reception and camera too.
Motorola is solid. Really good built quality and solid software that does what you want. Highly recommend anyone on the fence of a midrange android to consider motorola if they want a phone for a long time. Moto g7 play going strong 4 years here

I really want someone to talk about this.
I've never been this disappointed in my entire life. With Android 12 update, moto kinda bricked widevine L1 on edge 20 fusion and since sept 19th 2022 they still haven't issued a single comment or any fix. Apart from that their customer support executives are the same 4-5 people who tell you to visit service centres for software issues that can be fixed with OTA updates like other companies do. The hdr10 supported 10bit panel that can't even play HD is just good for nothing.
This aside, there's a major volume bug and some 4-5 minor bugs which still haven't been fixed.
Also their update policy and timings are another area where they didn't fail to disappoint. I mean by the time every Samsung mid-range and low budget device is getting Android 13 and most of moto's competitors are getting a13, moto is still in the process of rolling out a12 for its devices.
They also say their software is close to Google's vanilla Android but they don't even implement that well because the toggle to turn the mic off is available but unavailable for the camera. They also don't let you talk to their senior executives and ignore your DMs and any sort of communication related to the user not having a great experience.
Yeah I bought Netflix subscription and was disappointed that it can't play even HD and don't know when they will fix it.
Its not a problem of moto phones to stream HD content on third party app... Its hardware is supported widevine L1 certification but the apps like Netflix, Prime Now are updating and keep experimenting with their APIs...
Because same issue happened with me when i bought a Moto tab g70. It is mentioned in product description its supported HD content on 2K resolution 11inch display but when i tested it Netflix supported the HD content but for prime now not supported and streaming in 480p... I file a complain in amazon prime video and moto customer care... Then on one fine day amazon executive told me that your device hardware is compatible but due to back end issues of app like prime now and netflix they sometimes broke or not playing HD content... So wait for update and there are no solution for it... Even i filed complain against moto tablet in consumer forum and they are ready to return the full money back after 2 months but i cancelled it...bcz of delay and my work needed tablet... But after 6 months some update came and boom prime now streaming in 2.3GB/hr HD 1080... And for camera toggle in my secondary budget (10K) moto g22 phone camera toggle is there... Even that phone is also supported HD 1080 content on prime now... So crux is that it is the third party apps... bcz they are not providing universal app support to phones and tablets instead of charging big hefty amount on monthly basis... Firstly they want to subscribe for monthly rental and then asked for particular hardware supported device inspite of that any OTT platform or budget phone is okay to play their content in 720 mostly but they ruining the user experience on name update and features....

How do you compare Moto g73 with Moto g82 having pOLED, OIS in camera, display and performance? Also, can you compare it with Oneplus nord 3 lite? Among this which one is better. g82 is almost a year old but I am considering it due to pOLED display.

Moto is doing a great job in budget category but they are lacking in mid range and upper mid range phones.
With Edge 40, they should definitely increase battery size, 120hz display instead of 144hz and improved cameras.

Could've been better with g52's display. OLED is a huge jump I'd even take a 60hz OLED over 120hz IPS
What's the use if oled screens lack quality, I would rather prefer a good quality lcd screen than cheap oled, like you know how infinix gives amoled screen under 10k, but it has the worst quality
@@amalajai1423 we would rather have an OLED screen with 60Hz than an IPS screen with 120Hz because that screen refresh rate doesn’t do anything to improve sunlight visibility.
LCD in G62 was pretty good. Also LCDs might be cheaper to replace and more durable I guess

He is only saying that it's better to have a good quality IPS rather than a poor quality OLED. Because even if its an OLED it will look worser than an IPS display. And why tf will you be sitting in the sun all day.

Superb! Price, specs and usage, it is great! Wish they had given it an amoled screen and could have bumped the price to 20k. But every bit a nice one! Will recommend to people who ask for a value for money phone.
Something is better than nothing, it got pretty decent spec's in its Own way. Eg: Software, Speakers n Above avg IPS display...
Motorola please be consistent with your software updates. I bought edge 30 ultra back in oct last year and since then I only got 3 updates. We're in march but the security patch is still Dec'22.

Most people buy phones for software updates and not for using the actual phone. If the software is stable and comes at android 13 out of the box, then I won't mind it. Its better to have no software updates rather than updates that brick your phone like poco.

Sir, if possible please make a video on the smartphone case availability of Motorola phones. I have bought the moto edge 30 ultra and fusion, 5 months back on the launch date. Till date there is no proper back cover available on both offline and online markets. When I researched a little bit i, found that this issue is only with Moto and Infinix phones. Buying such an expensive phone and not being able to find a proper case is really disappointing. Infinix is anyways an inferior company, but this was not expected from Moto.
What about the bloatware app suggestions which was mentioned by Beebom?
Sir need help....need a laptop in 100000 rs(preferably just under). Priorities(not in that order):
-Battery life
-Build quality(not cheap plastic)
-Good display(amoled wagera nahi bhi ho toh chalega), and either 14 inch or 15.6 inch
-16gb ram, and 512 gb ssd
-i5 atleast(amd equivalent will also work)
-Has to be a windows machine
Baaki aur features rahe (eg. 2 in 1, touch, graphics card etc) to thik hai, nahi hone se bhi chalega, but Battery Life and Build quality are biggest priorities.

What's the difference between Dimensity 920, 930 and 1080? Maybe you can do a video about it. Because most of these mid-rangers are opting for the Mediatek chips...

Is there hardware acceleration for 4K video playback?. The cameras in this phone is not supporting 4K.
I think mediatek crippled the 930 with no 4K recording and playback like Snapdragon did with 695.
Dimensity 900 was capable of 4K recording and HW accelerated playback.

Each and everything is superb except the update situation. Motorola should really work on their pushing updates. They take huge time even sometimes just forget to deliver.

I have used Moto G5. Although it was a 4G phone but it was missing direct video call options. So some good features was missing at that time. So now I fear to buy Moto phones.
