@@AmphysvenaCorp It has access to more VRAM than the 4070 TI, i'm already at the point with my 4070 Ti that i'm either having to pick RT or HDR but not both as it doesn't have the VRAM to run newer games with both enabled alongside DLSS and FG without running over 11Gb which leads to stuttering, texture pop in, artifacts, etc.
Taking into account the rumored amount of CUs and their frequency, PS5 Pro will be slightly slower than 7800 XT (so somewhere on par with 6800 XT/4070) in terms of raster. It's RT performance is a bit trickier though. Here it might be a bit a bit faster than 7800XT. So the closest desktop GPU to Pro seems to be 4070. This is 1/2 of 4090 performance level. Not bad for a console, to be honest. If it's price is in the $600-700 territory, it might become a great option for enthusiast gamers.

If you get a PS5 it will make it almost impossible to justify ever turning the PS4 on again. Everything is better. Loading times are drastically better, even in regular PS4 games. Framerates and resolutions are better. All that said, if you're happy with your PS4 don't upgrade. You won't miss the PS5 if you've never used it

Do you own a PS5? The load times are insane. Games that utilize it correctly load in 1-3 seconds. Games that don't still all load in like 10 seconds at most. Easily faster than my PC that has an even faster SSD.

From all the leaks PS5 PRO is slightly more powerful than 7700XT. But 7700XT is MILES behind the 4090. But someday consoles will be stronger than the 4090. The 7700XT (and thus likely PS5 PRO) is ~20% faster than Nvidia's 6 year old flagship 2080ti. But the $/transistor aspect of Moore's Law is slowing down significantly, so I would suspect it will take a PS6 PRO (not PS6) to beat your 4090 in raw rasterization!

Overclocked CPU, not GPU. The new GPU has RDNA 3 and 4 based enhancements, and supposedly much better hardware based upscaling. On that last bit, we should see much better image quality even if games are being rendered natively at 720p, unlike what we're seeing now on the PS5 with titles such as Black Myth and Star Wars Outlaws.
Ps5P is basically like building a Ryzen 3700x/Radeon rx7700xt computer. The cpu is absolutely the bottleneck and I'm shocked Sony left it in there. GTA6 and most new open world games require a lot of compute power. There's absolutely no way GTA6 is running above 30fps on the Ps5p with a 3700x

I have a 4090 but still get a lot of games on switch and ps5 because I prefer physical copies especially when it comes to jrpgs and indie metroidvanias. Anything first person I get on pc though. Monster hunter I always played on playstation but unless the pro plays monster hunter wilds at a rock solid 60fps I will be getting it on pc.

No way 4090, not even close. 4070 most likely. But then again, if the games aren't optimised for it then it won't have much benefit over a standard PS5. I personally won't be upgrading my consoles in hurry. I've done it every generation and always felt let down. There is no such thing as optimization! This is an invention of console fans. For the developers, optimization is a graphical compromise in a game engine in order to meet the goal of a balance between graphics and a reasonable FPS that is usually locked at 30FPS. Note that all games on consoles do not come close to high or even ultra graphic quality like on PC when compared to a multi-platform game.

Considering the time to nurture games using Pro's, just like the current gen, it's most probably better just to wait for the next gen as Pro's are short lived expensive and won't be fully utilized esp as next gen will come a little later.

I have a 4090 but still get a lot of games on switch and ps5 because I prefer physical copies especially when it comes to jrpgs and indie metroidvanias. Anything first person I get on pc though. Monster hunter I always played on playstation but unless the pro plays monster hunter wilds at a rock solid 60fps I will be getting it on pc.

No way 4090, not even close. 4070 most likely. But then again, if the games aren't optimised for it then it won't have much benefit over a standard PS5. I personally won't be upgrading my consoles in hurry. I've done it every generation and always felt let down. Sony and MS will have to wait for my money until their hardware is shown to be worth the next investment.
It is meant to be around 33-36 teraflops so it easily beats RTX 4070 because the RTX 4070 is around 29 teraflops

There is no such thing as optimization! This is an invention of console fans.
For the developers, optimization is a graphical compromise in a game engine in order to meet the goal of a balance between graphics and a reasonable FPS that is usually locked at 30FPS. Note that all games on consoles do not come close to high or even ultra graphic quality like on PC when compared to a multi-platform game.
