Check the throttle cable on the pump panel. Black knob lower left. Turning it to the right increases rpm. If you push the knob in it goes back to an idle
If Kelly tackles life's issues like she did the fire truck. Scott, you got nothing to worry about. Maybe a walk down memory lanes , how yall met and married.
Scott, your property is really beautiful. I would love to hear the history on how you found it, etc. Big change from prior home with an HOA giving you a hard time for parking Lenny in the street.
I know your busy, but ppl judging by the comments would pay to drive those vehicles around your property i would bet! . getting the Mrs. on youtube is becoming a trend. well done ! thanks !
I think she'll get the hang of driving the fire engine faster than the cabover. Especially when you indicate what's straight ahead on the steering wheel.👍
Any idea what injectors are on that engine? I know that some fire departments back in the day liked to have their engines a bit "sporty" for obvious reasons.... Thx...
I think i will find out tomorrow. Because i suspect the sticking throttle was a rack problem so i’ll need to go under the valve cover to solve the issue.
when you dig out your pond on the drivway you can use that water from your pond water pic up screen on pump hose into pond //dig 15 feet deep you have water all year
I’m just taking a guess here but I don’t think that truck has pumped in a long time. Make sure you check the gear boxes and put some oil in the pump before trying to put it in pump maybe a quart. Put in were that side intake is. The large one that needs a cap. But before you do look around and make sure you close the main pump drain and all the gates. You can use waste oil it won’t be there long if you get to put water trough it. Also the screen on that intake does come out but mite be stuck from rust. If it breaks you don’t need it unless you plan on drafting water from a pond. They are also readily available if need be but if carful you should get it out if you choose to do so. And bye the way I don’t think that truck can pump and drive so the truck needs to be parked to pump water. If the tank doesn’t leak gravity feeding pipe may work. If not up in the hose bed there should be an access to the water tank the you can put an electric pump in. Have fun and good luck.
1:49 having only read about screamin Jimmies online, is the one you can't stall because of the governor type? I remember seeing something about the different governors available. Man I'd love to have a 4-53 or 6v53 to mess around with.
Is it able to pump water while you're moving down the driveway? Most PTO-driven fire pumps I've seen require you either send power to the rear drive, or to the PTO - but not both at the same time. Might be easier - and more reliable - to have a spray bar attached to the rear bumper and give it a simple gravity feed.
Gravity feed is the plan but i was hoping the pump would run and i could roll down the drive also gravity powered ;) Either way it will work. But for fire safety around here the pump working would be nice
I'm surprised you had her shifting so soon? Aren't they meant to rev out to the governor in every gear? 😂 Edit 9:28 nvm, I guess that was only going downhill.
That is the gear the transmission must be in when pumping water. With this pumper, the PTO routes the power form the transmission to either the axle or to the pump. This is why the discussion above about pumping while driving, it can't be done with this design.
She's a trooper.
She loves making Jimmy sing for all he's worth love it
I love watching Kelly drive your trucks! She really is doing a great job!
Kelly not Jelly 😁
@gullreefclub sorry it was a typo!
Kelly is a good sport. She did great for the 1st time driving the fire truck. 👍

Ya wife did a really good job for her first effort bro, handy having a wife like that. Safe travels to y'all. Ken.
Mrs Greese Monkey did that thing Scott!!!
She did great! You both did! My wife and I have such control issues, we have separate vehicles! LOL! God bless you guys!
Most fire truck auctions sell fire truck parts. Glad to see you both made it safely back despite the air hose break. Great video
Kelly looked like she was having some fun, keep the clips coming
🤣🤣 she was irritated at that parking brake button
Hard to reach

Kelly is such a good sport. Weird shift pattern and all.
Fun truck to drive. I enjoyed my time in one of those.
Scott,Kelly did an awesome job driving that .. great job Kelly love seeing you…
She did awesome 👏 👍
Kelly is definitely a pro at driving your new toys!! :)
The 3/4 shift was great: really fun
Long time since we've seen Kelly's shoes on the channel. Sure miss you tow in Lenny on the road. Narragansett Bay

Great job girl. Nicely done.
Hehe…the same shift pattern as the M35A2 deuce-and-a-half I drove in the Army. It took a LOT of getting used to.
Good job, Kelly!

Great Lady, thank you for sharing :)
Clearly, you married the right gal.
Have you tried double-clutching? That's how we had to drive our mid-70s fire truck.
She didn’t grind one gear at all

Kelly did great. Does she drive Lenny?

i think i would keep an eye out for and old road grader
It would be nice to have it around just in case the forest fires ever come that way

good firerwoman //lol my house burned to the ground --lol
I gotta get me a firetruck 🚒
A fire truck carries ladders and other equipment
A fire engine has a water pump.
When we know if the pump works then i will call it an engine

4 and 5 are flipped because of the pto and they are overdrive gears
the gears are flipped because it's probably a separate gearbox and 1st gear is at the bottom..

I think that's the only fire truck I've seen with a manual transmission. I''ve seen only automatics
😂diesel power yeah
Nice throaty exhaust
4+5 overdrive 5th shift pattern
Hurts for khoa.😂🎉
You need to strip the paint off the light bar
I'm surprised you had her shifting so soon? Aren't they meant to rev out to the governor in every gear? 😂 Edit 9:28 nvm, I guess that was only going downhill.
can someone explain the Pump Gear ?

@@72polara
Ask the wife to drive with a stuck throttle and leaky brakes ?😂😅
Just on the property. Not out on the open road ;)
