ugh, I swapped books last second in BOTM and missed out on killers of a certain age for cheap! its sold out now! lol. that Gatsby stained glass edition is GOOOORGEOUS, I have the same edition in THE SUN ALSO RISES.
if you are going to do a fantasy book vid the serpent and dove series is one of my faves. its set in France when the church was the government ane people believed in witches, except the witches were actually real and there are chasseurs (witch hunters). you follow the story of louise le blanc and ried diggory. they are forced to marry and so on and THE PLOT IS CRAZY!!! you do need to keep in mind that all three books are bacically consecutive, so where the first book ends, the second book starts right away. due to this there are SO MANY cliff hangers. 5 star series for me!!! also the books are like 550 pages each so.... good luck!!! (also love your vids ali they are just so relaxing and love seeing what you think of my favourite books!!)
I've read both The Love Hypothesis and Love On The Brain and I preferred Love On The Brain! It's actually one of my favourite romance books and I definitely recommend it! Love your videos Ali x
I'm not sure I could organize my books by color. I LOVE how it looks, but you would have to remember what every book looks like! Honestly, I think I could, but then seeing that sequels aren't next to each other... That bothers me! I used to organize my books by subject, but one of my roommates got bored (lost his job in the beginning of the pandemic) and rearranged them alphabetically by author. 😰 It's fine, I guess I can find things well enough.

dial A for aunties: its basically an I love Lucy episode full of Indochinese aunts in place of Ethel, and her and Lucy go on a zany wacky adventure trying to run a business while getting involved in a murder caper... it... was... hilarious. I almost DNFd it at the beginning cause the author spent a lot of time making sure you understood her family is huge and trilingual, and yer like... I GET IT! MOVE ONTO THE STORY!!! lol
8:02 a recommendation for a sad book is the first to die at the end (prequel to they both die at the end) by adam silvera!! had me sobbing for 45 minutes straight /srs, i absolutely love that book. it was a LOT sadder than TBDATE imo so if you’ve heard reviews or anything about TBDATE not being sad i can tell you for a fact that TFTDATE is much much sadder lol

The saddest book I’ve ever read was „Bright side” by Kim Holden. 😭😭😭 I gave that book 5 stars!
