Love my 300 S. This is my second one. I traded a Mercedes SUV for my second 300 and have no regrets. More power and room. Beautiful car and a very happy 300 Owner.
We just paid $24,000 US for a new 2018 300 Touring with a sport appearance package that makes it look just like the S (minus the rear spoiler and fog lights). I was really skeptical about its quality and how it would perform in the real world but we couldn't be happier with it. It's a lot of car for what we paid.
Sorry paul Martin but you should of gone with an S model. The S has tuned suspension, true dual exhaust system, paddle shifters, comes lower than any other trim, has sport button and sport on the shifter for tighter suspension and stiffer wheel, comes with tuned engine from factory pushing 300hp, the DRL fogs definitely are an eye catcher.
FYI - did a 120 mike trip from Tucson to Phoenix in my 2017 300 (Hemi) - averaged 28mpg averaging 75mph. Couldn’t believe that. FCA doesn’t ever have the budgets to do crazy innovative stuff, but they have same damn decent bones to work with.
I just drove my 2018 5.7 300 S from Portland Oregon, through Washinton, Idaho, Montana and into Wyoming, all while getting just over 26mpg. The route took us through mountain ranges and the speed limit varied from 55 to 80 mph.
I love the 300 series! I had an '06 300C w/ the HEMI; and I'd still have it, if my wife hadn't written it off. If Chrysler wants to make the 300 series a leader in sales again, they *MUST* do the following: - Drastically reduce the weight! I mean a LOT! Use modern aluminium, carbon, titanium, or whatever sturdy but light materials available. Just reduce the weight, without making it a smaller car. It can be done!!! - Improve the 5.7L HEMI, so that it provides more power (North of 400 HP) and torque (match the HP). There's also no reason why it can't be mated with an electronic Stop/Start system, which would dramatically improve city driving mileage. - Improve the transmission! Minimum: 8-speed. 'Nough said! - Let's start mating the drive train with an additional power source... an electric drive, which can not only provide additional power, but which can further improve fuel mileage. After reducing the weight of the vehicle, it should give some room for the electric motors and batteries. - Stop using cheap interior plastics! If the Germans, Koreans and Japanese can it, then so can North American automakers. - Do all of the above, without increasing the price of the car! Do all of the above; and they'll sell more 300's than any other car.
Mick Psyphon good, fast and cheap. Pick two. Re: weight. You can’t reduce it too much without compromising overall safety. Interior materials are up to par in the newer 2011+ models. The 8 speed is standard from 2015+. In theory, they could add the eTorque system from the 2019 Ram 1500/Wrangler to the L series cars.
I love Chrysler too! And I love the 300. My next one will be a 300C. I don't give a fuck about the "old" platform, that Car has still a awesome ride quality and a beautiful Design. It has more character then the most competitors and they refreshed it very good over the years. Mopar or no Car!
I own a white 2013 300 Glacier Edition. It’s based on the ‘S’. Only made one year and only available in AWD and 300 hp 3.6L v6. I was pleasantly surprised how quickly it moves with this engine and drivetrain combo. My next one is going to be the RWD with the hemi, though.
I'm looking for part number of the outside mirrors with blinkers to put them on my 2018 Charger SRT. Where can I find them and does anyone know if they will fit and work ? Thanks.
Mass market modern cars don’t work that way... look at the Prowler and early Viper for example... not discontinued low volume cars, their values are less than new when adjusted for inflation.
Beautiful 👌🏼 I have the old school 2005 300c. Still love it.. thinking of getting the 2017 or 2018 maybe next year when price drops a bit. But I'll still keep my 2005 300c..only has 90,000km's. Thanks for the video mate👍🏼
You lost me at 3.6L. Still though, good review. I'm on my 2nd 300. Currently own a 13 300c 5.7L with a custom exhaust. Not much has changed with the exterior/interior but still a nice car 🤙🏼
Love the Hemi, downfall with the 5.7 and 6.1 are petrol consumption at high gas prices here in the great white north. You can literally watch the gauge fall, haha. Not the best everyday option which is why I went with the 300S 3.6L RWD. Still, a fun car to drive!
I really love the look of these, the rims really make it great, need those on my Charger! But they def need too lighten up these cars if they wanna sell em,if they continue them, and keep the Pentastar!! but they should really do some Turbos in the 3.6 300s and Charger/Challys!It can be done.and the cheapy plastic has gotta go!Great Vid as Always Mars 👍
Solid Review! With FCA possibly getting rid of Chrysler, this may be a semi collectors item as the 'Last rear wheel drive American big sedan'..... when future generations are driven by self driving electric appliance vehicles :-)
I wouldn’t hold my breath on that happening any time soon. As long as there is oil and natural gas in the ground(of which there is an almost inexhaustible source, according to British Petroleum)people are going to buy gasoline combustion engines. It’s cheap and easy to fix and it’s what people know. As far as electric cars go, they’re adequate for urban CITY driving. But for ANYWHERE else in the world, especially trying to tow something, not so much. My advice, for what It’s worth, don’t waste your money. And as for “self driving cars” ... I saw one in an old Jean-Claude Van Dame movie once; thought it was tacky and terrible then and I still think it’s tacky and terrible now(the CAR, not the movie. Overacting is art). People will not give up that kind of fundamental control to a microchip. I know that I wouldn’t, when I buy a car “I” want to drive it!
The best-looking car. Ever. You won't see any crumpled up on the highway like them other 'toy' cars. Thanks for the review. Have a 2005 that's still running great but it's time for an upgrade. I've always loved the 'heavy' and solid look of these cars. This ain't no pussy car like the rest of them out there that cost TWICE as much or more.
Love my 300 S. This is my second one. I traded a Mercedes SUV for my second 300 and have no regrets. More power and room. Beautiful car and a very happy 300 Owner.
Earth Angel P you got a v6 or v8?

how does it look like an S without the spoiler and fog lights? what else does the S have that aint that?

As of May 2020, I bought the 2018 300s with 35mi , ceramic gray for $19,800. Not sure if is a good deal lol
The back seat is fine. ..
Awesome, awesome car ... Combination of size, performance and smoothness is rare, now.
😂 I NEVER saw the back seat! ❤

I love the new 300s, but they really need to bring back the srt model
Or at the very least the 5.7 with AWD.
I have watched a bunch of reviews on the 300. This was the most informative. Well done.
Excellent camera work with great editing and commentary. Thanks for posting.
Beautiful car and though its a bit old, still better looking than all of the comp you named.
I have a 2015 300S in Jazz Blue... even has the Ambassador blue leather seats. Unfortunately its only a V6.. but it is AWD though. Absolutely love it

You have to remember the car is considered a "notchback", so your complaint of a small truck is invalid. I think the trunk is very spacious.
I had the 2016 C class which has the same features except the extended wing
Maintenance cost is most important here
WOW I LOVE CHRYSLER!

US Cruiser98 ☺👍🏼😚

Great video, but the 300S V-6 isn't specially tuned... It just has a true dual exhaust system unlike the non S version that has a y-pipe.
What’s the difference between the Sport mode button versus the S on the dial select?
I have a 2015 5.7 litre and my family of 5 fit just right and it still moves great on the highway.
I'm looking for part number of the outside mirrors with blinkers to put them on my 2018 Charger SRT. Where can I find them and does anyone know if they will fit and work ? Thanks.
Great review thank you my friend
I love my 2015 300 s
Nice I have the heritage edition 300c 2006 sick car they just need to release a hellcat powered 300 or atleast a new srt 300
If FCA kills of the Chrysler nameplate, my 2014 srt 300 just skyrocketed in value
Kristopher Klassen my 06 Chrysler srt would sky rocket too haha
They don't kill it
King of The Castle they don’t make srt’s for the North America market since 2014
Mass market modern cars don’t work that way... look at the Prowler and early Viper for example... not discontinued low volume cars, their values are less than new when adjusted for inflation.

Pasqualino Versace get the 2nd generation from 2011 to 2014 they are amazing
Hey are yiou in Windsor?
Being outdated is an opinion but the 300 being a powerful luxury vehicle is a fact 💪🏽
Got a deal steal on this car back in 2018. Maaaaaaaaaan! ❤
As far as design, consider how many gimmick designs have come and gone since 2011 and this one still remains sexy.
Great Videos!! I wish someday to spend a Hellcat and/or just get a ride to school.
This is a beautiful car. Really like it.
300 is cool car, but it really needs an update imo.
Its funny how people say the 300 needs and update while no one says anything about the Charger that runs on the same format. Interesting.
LX Platform in general.
SSmaro 👍🏼
it's already had 2 in the last 7 years! the second generation is the best looking but there all great!
This competition to this car is the Taurus which is ancient it's self
Its a nice car, but personally id rather get the gorgeous new Lincoln Continental if your looking for american luxury
I just paid 24k out the door for a limited fully loaded. 19k mile.
YOUR PREMIER CLUB me too!
In California gas is a big deal but where I live it's a $1.60
this didnt age well
@@bluebetty7047 I know right

Bring back the bench seat!
0:01
It’s a victim of its own success it’s still crushing all competition with all its power luxury amenities technology and affordable price
2018 G80 sport or 300s????
$$$ how much do you want to spend? You won't be disappointed with a 300. Better bang for your buck.
So strange the 200 has a 9-speed and the 300 has an 8-speed.
Nathan Hunt 200 was fwd 300 rwd
You, Sir by far have the best real-life video of this car! Recycled Plastic, Plastic, Plastic brought to you by Waste Management Luxury interior?
You threw me off by timing the quarter mile but giving a 0-60 time in kilometers.

🤤😭 I can’t afford it
I want it!
Outdated.
Needs a larger backseat and higher roof.
Bigtruckseriesreview Motorsports just go buy a SUV. this car is big enough
DoubleAIV 👍🏼
Don't forget your going to be paying for Mercedes prices for parts. The 300 are mostly made from Mercedes.
hey look its toronto
Why are they still using this crappy plastic it's 2018. 2005-2010 300c is much better
4:58 cringe...you said "on point".
♡♡♡
Chrysler is going away today
Mitchell Long they made it for now but they might not last long.
If that’s going away what cheap large sedan can replace it, aside from the Charger?
Too bad these ain’t reliable lol
You should have done a good detailing job on the car there was crap all over the exterior and interior
