Having problems trying to remove foliage from my map, I can place trees, grass, ect just fine but when I try to remove anything it just doesn't work. I have held down shift, ctrl, and alt with no results. I can see the red squares when I hover over the foliage but it just doesn't delete it.
Nelson didn't invent the tile system, it's part of Unity. The Unturned editor uses built in Unity things like the tile system so Nelson can't really do all that much when it comes to that, and if he could he would, and once it IS possible I'm certain he will gladly implement it!
I really don't like this new editor with how complex it is. It's nice that theres features such as weight for mats and the new Heights editor is awesome, but nelson should have options for old and new for things like materials and foliage.
Thank you! You can remove foliage by holding down SHIFT, and ALT will remove baked foliage. If that is not working, you may have strength or falloff set to 0.

I plan to do a full modding series in a month or two to cover a whole bunch of stuff including custom materials! At the moment I don't have much time on my hands to do so, that's why it's gotta be later but it will happen!
I have a problem in the exact setting of the foliage. I simply do not have a cursor in the form of a cross and all the foliage is placed under the map in the middle of the tile joints (as if at coordinates 0). You can help me? Thanks in advance for your reply
The only thing I can think of is verifying your game files, you can go to your steam library, right click Unturned, go to properties, local files, and click "Verify integrity of game files" I've never ran into this issue personally though, so if that doesn't work you may need to get support from SDG, the page is here to do so. support.smartlydressedgames.com/hc/en-us
Great tutorial! I just have one question though, when I'm using the materials, I can't place anything else on top of what I put down first, even though the layer i put down first is the only layer there. I've even cleared the tiles and replaced it again so that I made sure it's only 1 layer
Check and make sure your strength or falloff aren't too low, that may be it, if not maybe verify the integrity of your game files? If you don't know how that is done, right click Unturned in the library, click properties, then in local files the button should be there.
Auto foundation doesnt work at all for me and this is literally the only video that comes up. I even used the exact same settings as you did in the video and nothing. It just acts like its painting but does nothing.
Could be your falloff or strength. Is the painting tool selected? If it's none of that, ALT can also erase painted foliage along with baked at the same time.
One issue may be falloff or strength, one other issue is if you are trying to do it in the bake window, you can only erase stuff while in foliage paint mode.

I believe you may need to add asset files for them. I go over that at 11:27 If you already did that, maybe check the error logs? You may be able to find the answer there to why it's not showing up.
Is your falloff or brush strength set to 0 or something low like that? If it is that's usually the main reason people have when it comes to erasing stuff. Try to set it back to 1 and see if that works!

the foliage more specificly trees wont remove for me i tryed selecting the specific tree type and then holding shift and it wont go away it wont even show the red square and no i have strengh set to 20,050 and falloff to 20,500
You select the one you want and place it with E, the spawn point one isn't your typical spawn, it's more for quest related things. The location one allows you to put a location name and it will show up on the map and allow you to teleport to that place. Airdrop is a spot that the airdrop will land at, you can put the ID of any spawntable for it to use that loot in that location! The spawntable folder can be found at: Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Unturned\Bundles\Spawns
Using the scroll wheel speeds you up and slows you down, maybe try scrolling up and see if you speed up? You may have scrolled downwards too much by accident.
If it was manually painte you can hold down shift with the foliage paint tool, if that doesn't work it may of been baked. Though you can hold down alt to erase baked foliage!

I can't delete trees that I baked, I tried holding down alt, ctrl, tab, shift, nothing shows up to delete them.

Sadly not, there is no existing import/export feature.
whenever i get to a certain height while editing my entire ground goes black and i cant figure out why
Might be something with your materials, the ground usually goes black if its not painted with enough strength.

Nope, this is just the editor now, have you tried turning down your graphics settings, maybe lowering the "Max Draw Distance"?

Make sure you have the right mode selected, and that the brush size, and falloff are higher than 0.

How to delete tree?
