This is a great recap of the day's trip. My wife and I were in the Pullman car and showed up in a few scenes. Does anyone know why they didn't pull the train back to the wye with diesels? 2102 did a masterful job of pushing the consist up to the wye. Thanks for posting this.
Oh wow that’s awesome,how was that ride?I heard from a friend that rode the rambles this day that it was insane,I will be riding next year,I have no clue why they didn’t but I had the same question you did. Yes she did indeed she did a great job all day,No Problem um glad you enjoyed!
The Pullman car was the only first class accommodation not already sold out. I got the last compartment. The car also includes a lounge area, soft drinks and snacks. It's not air conditioned but windows open and there's Dutch door riding. Each compartment accommodates 2, but they're a little cramped. Sill, I recommend it. They did something to the connection between the tender and locomotive on 2102 over the winter, not sure exactly what the repair was but there seemed no concern about pushing 18 cars with it.

Cab tours at JT are now better organized, too, with 2102 in better position. It's amazing what a fine job R&N does with its excursions. 🙂
