Oh my dear Lord, this was incredible! Words almost fail me! This wasn't just a rail video, it was a trip back in time and 2102 was the time machine. It's been said and it's true that the best historic artifacts have the power to pull you back into their own era and 2102 certainly does that! Thanks so much for being there (And getting rained on!) and taking us along with you! A masterpiece of film making!
The quality on R&N 2102 is Fantastic on the shots. I really liked the service for 2102 you caught. I was at the second Rambler event back on Sunday, August 13, 2023. It was my first time visiting the R&N. Started out at OS for the hookup then the action really began just north at Cross keys. Then had to hurry back to Hamburg after I took a wrong way. It didn't stopped me for the chase. I enjoy it. Plus I saw the NRFF for the first time. R&N did a awesome job. I didn't mind the double whistle on 2102. I liked it. A very fantasic job you did.
Incredibly talented Rail photographer. Very creative,to include railside shots of beautiful wildflowers the deer, the snapping turtle hanging out in the pool of water in the stream, under the bridge. This is the best video of the 2102 I've found yet.
My 101 year old father has always liked trains, steam engines especially. Lately we have been watching a lot of videos about trains and this one is my favorite so far. You got some beautiful footage 🙂, makes me want to take a trip up to Pennsylvania.
When the Steam-run Engine Train goes, the buildings and scenery at both the dude of the track, is very interesting to see. Very good photography. Kudos to the photographer.
Absolutely love Jim Thorpe. Didn’t get to ride the train but hoping to do it next time I pass through. Central PA’s steam history is why I love living in this state
Fantastic video! The quality coming from this camera, as well as the audio, are sooo good! Cinematic productions of trains like this make the story really interesting. Keep it up. 👏👍
awesome video, from start to finish. i especially enjoyed the servicing shots of shane and the crew topping off the tender with coal. and shooting the rods with the alamite gun. really great shots
The cinematography in this video is exceptionally beautiful. The scenery and all the little details in each shot truly bring this work to life. My three-year-old son and I thoroughly enjoyed watching it, as he loves steam trains.
Love this video! No terrible shots 2 feet from the tracks, no repeat scenes that flow awfully, and no boring shots from riding in the coaches. Other videographers should take note!!
Wow!!! No whistles of other steam locomotives can beat the sound of 2102's "shrill" whistle. Listening to 2102's AWESOME, ear-piercing whistle is exhilarating!!! And 2102 is magnificent. I LOVE watching this extraordinary steam engine in action. The audio and cinematography is superb!!! 🎥
What an epic return! The Iron Horse Rambles are back with a bang. Can't wait to embark on new adventures and witness the beauty of the journey. All aboard for another unforgettable ride!
Not that it’s ever bad, but the production quality was particularly fantastic on this video. A story was told without any words spoken at all. Great work. 👍🏻
It amazing in 2024 people having feelings about these old trains. As antiquated as they are they stir something inside you. It is a dragon coming to life. I am 73 and remember being impressed with them as a small boy. I can remember my Father getting on a train in the 1950’s. I can still remember the sound they made. Today and everyday I carry a 1916 coin silver Elgin hunter watch with a solid Victorian silver chain.
what an incredible video. both video and audio quality are perfect. thanks for uploading. i'd say this is one of the best sounding steam engines in the world.
NO Music, NO nerdy narration, NO idiotic Max Headroom Edits, and last but not least, NO over-dramatic, too long intro. Nicely-done! I get some serious Normal Rockwell/O Winston Link vibes at around 16:30.
Pretty sure I got some hearing damage standing near the tracks as they came out of Jim Thorpe through Nesquehoning, never heard an engine bark like that and had to cover my ears and got covered in cinders after getting my shot. Quite the machine
10:00 poor deer has probably never heard or seen a steam loco before, and doesn't know what's happening. I hope she didn't run on the tracks when the train came. Nice footage. I wish railroads brought them back. Maybe than people would think twice about crossing the tracks in front of the train. Trains today, specially here in Europe have ridiculous horns: "Pi-Hoonk!!" And still people complain about noise. Maybe it's not the noise that's the problem, and complaints would stop if proper trains came by again.

It is very interesting to travel in a Steam Engine run Train. The sound of the Steam Engine is very interesting to hear, and, it is very thrilling and interesting to travel in a Steam Engine run Train. In India, in all Rly. Stations, at least one steam Engine run Train should be run!
We're going Michigan an Kentucky Corbin Conrail if agreeable to hold reading railroad facilities Green bay facilities collinwood yard facilities Lackawanna railroad Canton Crestline with track right paid for seven years yet an a line new york selkirk line to collinwood
This is incredibly frustrating. Would it really have been that hard to just show the entire train in one shot aside from the very end in the credits? I'm sure I'm not the only one who wants to be able to count the cars and such.
@@SJRailroader31 First, I offered my own opinion (admittedly in a perhaps overdramatic manner, but nonetheless). Second, my name is both a pun and an anagram. The pun is that the top two lines of a Z look like a seven, so 007-James Bond. The anagram is very much related to railroading, something rather specific, in fact. Here's a hint-there are three pieces of two characters each. I also removed four letters to make it cryptic.
Then why don't you go out and chase it? Sometimes you just can't beat it with the time you have by waiting for the whole train to go by. I thought Eric's production was spectacular. If you want to sit there and count, why don't you go back to school? 🤣
@@PRL2204 Replying five months later to something that I posted while particularly sick and completely forgot about is an incredible achievement. Why don't you do something productive yourself? I agree that it was spectacular, but at the time I was quite sick and cranky. I do apologize for the attitude, but I have to note that even now, when I'm feeling much better, my health and financial means massively restrict my ability to travel. Very creative angles and excellent photography...and no others blocking your shots!

My dad and younger brother road on this excursion back in the 1960s. I know this video would be of great interest to both of them. RIP you guys.

See, the Rly. Stations, and, the side way, through the tracks are very beautiful! and interesting to see!
Just simply amazing! 😊
I rode behind the big girl on the July 1st 2023 Reading Rambles trip. What a ride!
I bet that was a great experience! I haven't had the chance to ride one of the trips yet, I was hoping to last year but had too much going on.

Это очень красиво, в паравозах я вижу душу как будто они живые даже слышно как они дышут.
