Woah! I was expecting the bright green leaves to make green water, but purple came out instead! And the purple and yellow flowers made green instead! The bright colours are so beautiful and vibrant and I love the purple and blue rice the best!
For those wondering what the plant at 1:48 is that produces such a nice purple colour (紫蓝草), it's translated in the subtitles as meadow grass, but a more accurate name for it is magenta plant! The scientific name is dicliptera tinctoria (papago wants to translate it to cymbidium japonica, which is a plant that doesn't exist lol)

我们马来西亚这里也有这种天然色素蒸成的糯米饭，有蝴蝶兰蒸成的蓝花糯米饭，通常会配上甜甜的椰奶酱当甜品吃，还有另一种是黄姜糯米饭，常搭配油辣椒酱或咖喱一起食用。
青色是用pandan叶。红色不知道。但是不管什么颜色配curry或sambal就好吃了🤣
