In the books, he's technically not a vampire. He's a vampire bat mutant. A regular basic vampire bat from Mexico. But like how Spiderman has spider abilities, Morbius has vampire bat abilities - like their extreme metabolism. If he doesn't drink so often, he starts shivering and going into a fanatic shock like a starving bat or shrew. He flies by hovering and hopping around. And has the proportionate strength and speed of a bat. Blood is blood for him, it's just calories. But he needs ALOT per meal. But he's not a actual vampire - the vampires in Marvel think of him as a human freak.
I noticed in Marvel that magic and science are kind of the same thing (like Thor/Loki). What if he used science on MAGIC bats? So it would be both for Morbius as well. I doubt he would know they are magic but they could have something mystical about them that when combined with his science creates a vampire.

Ensemble film version of Midnight Suns would be awesome; we've got Morbius, Werewolf By Night, Magik (thanks to the Fox acquisition) and they are rebooting Blade, it kind of makes sense.
He does have a sensitivity to the sun. One of the comics have the following to say about the topic: “Seared by ultraviolet, his photosensitive skins shudders like bacon on a griddle.” Morbius the Living Vampire (1992) #2 He is also not immortal. In the comics the only time in which he gains this ability is during his possession/infection of lilin(demon) blood. Once the infected blood is removed he loses his true immortality. (Nightmare informs him of this change in Morbius the Living Vampire (1992) #9) And last but not least….with the comics, his origin shows that for a short time he jumped between his vampiric/human state, only becoming vampiric when needing blood. This did not last long though, with him becoming a permanent pseudo-vampire for the remainder of his comic career. (Two exceptions being when a freak accident involving Spider-Man and a bolt of lightning cured him and the other, a momentary reprieve from changes the lilin blood brought him) Thanks for the great video….hopefully we will actually be able to see the movie soon🤔

I'll add my own suggestions: 1) Magic the Gathering vampires: with the upcoming release of the vampire centric set Crimson Vow, you'll have a blast with all the art. 2) Warhammer Fantasy vampires: they command hordes of undead armies and control vast territories from their castles in Sylvania. 3) Vampire the Masquerade: this is the masterpiece of vampire media. Complete. Comprehensive. It has every vampire, from the seductive beauty to the monstrous cave-dweller, sorcerers, kings, artists, and warriors. Every vampire fan out there should at least know about Vampire the Masquerade.
Vampire masquerade is one of my favourite vampire games that I really want to make a video on, and I didn’t even know there was vampires in war hammer but I’m a huge fan so I’ll have to check that out, thanks 🙏
I'll add one. Higher Vampires from the Witcher books and games. I love how they are presented in both mediums, and how our first encounter with one completely subverts all expectations of vampires. In the witcher games and books, vampirism does not exist. You can't "turn into" a vampire. Vampires are just another subset of species. Higher Vampires (the species) are born vampires, by vampire parents, live vampires and (very rarely) die vampires (meaning, they rarely die) and, they only drink blood for pleasure. Its like alcohol to them. The book vampire (Regis) even uses mathematics to explain why creating vampires through bites would be utterly ridiculous, as the whole world population would have just turned into vampires by that point. They aren't weak either: they can live for thousands of years (Regis, at 428 years old is considered young), they can't be killed by fire, stakes, drowning, burying, decapitation etc (they don't even need a corporeal body to exist), they are intelligent, can disappear in a flash, turn invisible, turn into a gigantic bat etc. Nearly every witcher; monster killing machines, trained and mutated as children to effectively kill monsters, would never risk fighting a Higher Vampire: in the books, Geralt says that he doesn't think he could kill Regis if it was a life or death situation.Why don't they just take over the world then? Well, this isn't their world; the seemingly Elric inspired Conjunction of the (million) Spheres threw vampires into this world from their own, so, they find this world, and humans weird: they find this world uncomfortable, and so would rather just stay away from humans. They also came into the world in very small numbers in comparison to humans, and, they have EXTREMELY low birth rates. And, what would they even gain? Most just want to get back to their own world, so they would rule a planet they don't even like. I just really love the re-imagining of vampires as just another living species, who had to adapt to humans.

I highly recommend reading midnight sons parts 1-6 comic books from the 80’s and 90’s and the Morbius living vampire comic book series from the 90’s. As for weakness yes he can out in day light but powers and vampiric abilities are significantly weaker and his thirst is greater then undead vampires causing him to feed or crave blood more often. PS Morbius works with blade and the night stalkers on and off so we might see the MCU intro of Blade in this movie.

@@jebVlogs556 he didn't experiment on them. From what I can understand is that their bloodline had some sorts of additional properties to it that made them true immortals but also allowed the combination of other effects. Its why the bat bite and wolf bite created vampires and werewolves.
I am looking forward to this. Never heard of Morbius before either till I saw a trailer several months ago. I love Jerad Leto as a actor so excited a lot from him. Though the creature effects make Morbius look dangerous which is part of my rule of how to do Vampires right. I don't really have faith in this film due to it being a PG-13 Superhero movie and Sony and Disney will have some involvement in toning down the horror appeal and raising up the boring superhero appeal so kids can see it. So, I'll sit this one out. The one Vampire Property that I can't wait to see is the adaptation of Brian Lumley's Necroscope series which is finally being adapted. I've been wanting to see a Necroscope movie for a long time and the Vampires that Brian Lumley created are so terrifying that if you were to see his Vampires walking down the street. You would run for your life like a deer trying to escape a tiger.

My first introduction to Morbius was via spiderman 3 for ps2. I felt bad for him being tortured by his curse which Shriek used against him as she was this corrupted witch doing this ritual. Also had an amazing soundtrack . Was one of those ps2 games i loved replaying and it had a lot of missions and atmosphere.

That is a very good point. I’m not sure how they would explain that, the comic book references him being less supernatural but perhaps for the movie they will go a different direction to buff his powers so he’s more competitive with the other hero’s

I just watched it and it isn't as bad as I thought. I think it could've been better as a R-rated action-horror movie set in the MCU. The vampire designs and fight scenes looked cool. But again studio interference ruins what could've been a good movie. My dad originally talked me into seeing it. But I'm also a huge B-movie fan. If they do include him in more movies they should at least try to learn from the first movie.

@@jebVlogs556 he didn't experiment on them. From what I can understand is that their bloodline had some sorts of additional properties to it that made them true immortals but also allowed the combination of other effects. Its why the bat bite and wolf bite created vampires and werewolves.
venom got randomly transported to spiderman's Universe and since morbius is set in the same universe as venom the same might happen to him

Though the creature effects make Morbius look dangerous which is part of my rule of how to do Vampires right. I don't really have faith in this film due to it being a PG-13 Superhero movie and Sony and Disney will have some involvement in toning down the horror appeal and raising up the boring superhero appeal so kids can see it. So, I'll sit this one out. The one Vampire Property that I can't wait to see is the adaptation of Brian Lumley's Necroscope series which is finally being adapted. I've been wanting to see a Necroscope movie for a long time and the Vampires that Brian Lumley created are so terrifying that if you were to see his Vampires walking down the street. You would run for your life like a deer trying to escape a tiger.

The morbious movie was suppose to come out forever ago but i guess its still coming out. Morbious was one of my favorite spiderman foes honestly its messed up he has been sidelined all these years. He was one of the first action figures i had of spiderman villians and honestly he was awesome. I was surprised he was getting his own movie, but i still feel like they gunna fk it up.

My first introduction to Morbius was via spiderman 3 for ps2. I felt bad for him being tortured by his curse which Shriek used against him as she was this corrupted witch doing this ritual. Also had an amazing soundtrack . Was one of those ps2 games i loved replaying and it had a lot of missions and atmosphere.

That is a very good point. I’m not sure how they would explain that, the comic book references him being less supernatural but perhaps for the movie they will go a different direction to buff his powers so he’s more competitive with the other hero’s

I just watched it and it isn't as bad as I thought. I think it could've been better as a R-rated action-horror movie set in the MCU. The vampire designs and fight scenes looked cool. But again studio interference ruins what could've been a good movie. My dad originally talked me into seeing it. But I'm also a huge B-movie fan. If they do include him in more movies they should at least try to learn from the first movie.
