Wow I watched this video so much as a kid. Still watching-even after 11+ years and counting. Thanks for producing this. What struck me in awe was that the Delta museum in Atlanta was playing this song! What are the odds...
Thanks for this great Video. Delta is my favorate Airline since PanAm goes down. I love'd this music since Delta shows up in German TV with it's spot in the early 19.90's.
I flew lots of international during my USAF days. With Delta I stuck with the domestic routes. That included Canada, Alaska, the Carribean and Mexico. That meant more takeoffs and landings and less jet lag. I flew the Boeings. Started as a 727 flight engineer for 1 1/2 years, then 727 copilot for about 6 years, then 757/767 copilot for another 6 yrs. or so and then captain on the 737. I also was checked out as Captain on the 757/767 but retired early due to injuries from a car wreck. My routes varied each month which mixed it up and made it fun. Favorite airport was LGA. I loved the Expressway Visual to 31. It was challenging and fun. I hated SNA (John Wayne Airport) not for the short runway, I flew SpecOps in the AF and was good at that, but the amount of uncontrolled VFR traffic was disturbing. Approaching SNA in the evening with the sun in your eyes and at least a dozen VFR targets within 5 miles wasn't fun.
Delta rocks! this is the airline we use almost all the time, (except for occasional times with southwest, which is also an excellent airline, but does not have the creature comforts for those long flights) Delta is the best in the business! thanks for the cool video..

great vid. i love delta and their colour schemes, all of them. delta is a fab airline. i never had ne troubles with 'em, and ive been flying with delta now for several times, FRA - (JFK -) MCO. awesome. congrats from germany to this awesome vid.
I'm flying Delta to London in a couple months, and I CANT WAIT! I've always had exceptional service on Delta, unlike another airline I won't name where I had two connecting flights with the same flight attendant from hell. Planeboy5, Delta owes you a First Class ticket anywhere you want to go.
IMO the Delta Interim colors were the best, I don't remember when they stopped using them, the last time I remember flying on a Delta with the interim colors was in '02 or maybe '03, I think.

Kudos for Delta Air Lines Inc. It has stopped using India-based call centers to handle sales and reservations. These calls are answered in N.A now! Wish all the large American corporations would follow their example.
I have flown Delta most of my life mainly to my hometown of Savannah, Georgia. This video is great but I didn't see any of Delta's livery from the 70's and 80's.
@bluepanther1011 Look it up, Delta never bought or placed any orders for any 787 models. The 767-200s have been gone for almost 3 years now, the last one to fly was the spirit of Delta which is now in the Delta Museum. The only 767s remaining are the -300 and -400 models. Cutting routes saves money. If a route is not profitable enough, it is useless to keep it.
Right!!!! Kingfisher India is even having trouble with its International routes and decided to retire the routes,probably because of Jet Airways.Also,one of the reasons they cancelled is because other airlines have mastered the route,i guess
Delta is a good USA based airline, but too bad that Delta isn't in the same alliance as Cathay Pacific, whic is also a great airline to fly with. DragonAir, a subdiary of Cathay Pacifc is also a great airline if you have any connection flight from Hong Kong to almost every destination in China. I LOVE Delta.

WAY too much RJ footage to call this a Delta tribute. And I am a retiree. Great try,,,lots of great shots...but either cut it down or find some more clips! Though it has its place in the sky, that RJ fleet doesn't have a place at Delta! Looking forward to a real tribute! I LOVE Delta!

@swjgt dude, i dont think thats true. a380's are expensive jets and with this recession going on, american airliners just cant afford it. 747's and other boeings are much cheaper so they would rather buy from those.
i yet have to experience delta airlines. i hope i get to fly with them sometime soon. atleast they offer some sort of entertainment. CO and thier 735's dont -_- lol
