I imagine people would learn matchups and a lot of the game would be trying to manipulate the board into getting matchups all to have the best chance in a 1v1 against the king. If the game was more balanced and rook wasn't OP vs everything, it would be very interesting to see.
King is criminally underrated, unless you one tap the king he can jump on you and just use his magnet then 1 or 2 swipe you. Also the fact that the knight has a seeking arrow is just way too freaking strong

As a man with way too many hours in this game, regular rook is the best piece in the game and can one shot in the head any piece. You don’t play like real chess and your movements couldn’t mean less, it’s all based on if you’re good with a piece or just get lucky. For shiny pieces king and bishop are really good. King is almost impossible to kill if you’re good at him and bishop has crazy damage potential.
