      @LicentiaArmsCo  Год назад +14

      Nope, we address all the reasons agains night vision scopes in this video. If you want a cheap product that isn't versatile then grab a scope. If you want a setup that is efficient and gets it done across a variety of setups and platforms then a clip-on is the answer. There is a very specific reason top tier companies aren't making scopes. They are outdated and obsolete. With that being said, we are here to simply give you the information to arm you to make the best decision.

      @@LicentiaArmsCo Man I agree that those clip ons are versatile but the set up you are running with that gun/scope/clip on is well over $10,000. That is way out of range with what most people are willing to spend on a night vision set up. Sure if you have the money that’s the way to do it no doubt. But that doesn’t mean a good ole sightmark wraith on a bolt action 22-250 can’t get the job done. Been doing it for years.

    You did not address the cons. Like the optic has to focus on the eye view optic of the clip on (CNVD). Zooming to max power will enlarge the image of the cnvd, getting it more blurry with each #x of zoom magnification. The resolution of the eye viewer of the cnvd is crucial here and YMMV. Using my atn ps-28 gen 2Plus WP tube, I can shoot plates out to 200 yards with my acss SFP 1x6 lpvo, just barely. I start at 3x, acquire target and zoom to 6x for BDC. The target gets blurrier and larger and is almost not recognizable at 6x. Zooming in from 3x to 6x is the only way I can shoot the "Blob" that was the target. Also it must be aligned within 3mm of center of day optic to retain less than 1 MOA of offset.
    Another pro is that you can use it by itself as a monocular, although it is 1x.
    Mine is a budget cnvd. The milspec pvs-30 can be used to 1000m.

    I installed this optic on a crossman 760 air rifle.I have now shot the riffle around 500 times during target/plinking practice, and the ruclips.net/user/postUgkxc4K63Fd5LglDMObu7-Bgapxp_ef0W8hE scope has done well.With this optic, I have neutralized around 30 pigeons that were invading one of my buildings.For my short range air rifle, I will continue to use this scope, but will be upgrading to a more powerful scope, when I buy a more powerful air rifle, in order to shoot at longer distance.For the money I have spent, this scope has truly been a great buy.

    Good video. I almost made this mistake. I did TONS of research before buying my night vision. One of the videos I watched pointed out that having night vision binoculars combined with an IR illuminator/laser and a red dot scope with night vision settings was the best way to go for most people. This kind of setup gives you better overall situational awareness - your visibility is not restricted to looking through your rifle scope. I ended up buying a PVS-31A from you and it is AWESOME. For shooting out to 100 yards it’s very effective. In addition I can use it when driving my Jeep at night and just general scouting/observation.

    And yet the military does not use clip ons- to each their own but clip ons have been around quite some time and theres a reason they are not the greatest tech. Sure you get to not fuss around re-zeroing and its easily removable, but you have a massive disadvantage as far as weight and wielding go. You could easily clip a nvs off and clip on a daytime in a negligible amount of time, if that’s your concern. I do see where you’re coming from though.

    Clip ons are the future? Lol funny just cause before goggles became so advance weapon mounted Night vision was being used. Talking 90s and early 2000s. With the current trend in the military and the Envg program which I think is dumb, it’s over kill. All they needed to do was a simple NVG with thermal overlay in a small light weight package. I digress, with the Next generation scope they are going to try and crane NV and thermal and regular glass all in one scope. I do like clip ons, I don’t disagree with this philosophy on a DMR rifle. I know people poke fun at “modularity” but expanding your capabilities is gonna be an advantage in any combat situation. I do love how greedy NV companies are though. So you buy duals and pay 12-14k for them because your getting 2 tubes.. so what’s the argument on a clip on? It’s just a over sized more robust pvs14. Really think that housing cost 8k more then the pvs14. After all your only getting one tube and a single L3 filmless tube can be bought for 2500-3000. I love NV and always have since I was first issued it. My love for guns and Nv my be what made me climb through the upper tiers of the military. Like are quad nods 40k? The tubes themselves could be had for leas than 12k. Seriously think a polymer housing and some fancy glass and wiring cost 28k? Imagine if car manufacturers charged the same as firearm companies. A Honda Civic would cost 100 million dollar
