Bro add another course sponge under the white sponge it won't allow the white sponge to clog by trapping bit particals .and it will give u the best filteration and crystal clear water
In the water intake pipe there is a small black sponge which is also traping particles so I think it's a great combo in a canister I have ever seen And his aquarium has already crystal clear water and also like your comment and tip 👍👍
If power goes off or switched off, the suction creates huge pressure causing leaks near the holes on the filter and the cap or lid. Not sure how to avoid it
I received alot of comments facing the same problem of water leaking So I'm making a unique external canisters with no leakage issue and very easy to make Uploading video on this channel Very soon......
I'm using a 18 watt motor , which has 2.5 feet water pump capacity First measure the height between the aquarium top and the position of your canister filter below ( where you will keep the canister filter) Then buy the motor which have sufficient capacity to pump the water Up (On the motor the water pump capacity is mentioned) The height between my canister filter and water outlet pipe is 2 feet So I bought the motor of 2.5 feet water pump capacity
I made same filter it is working good but there is one problem bro whenever electricity is getting off or whenever i am keeping it off that time whole water is coming out from the bottom outlet air tight container is also getting leaked any suggestions for this
Can't stop gravity! Most DIY external filters will syphon water from the tank if power cuts out. That's partly why commercial cannister filters are so expensive. Because they are made of hard plastic with proper O-ring seals and strong clips to hold the lid tight. Better to make DIY filter from a plastic planter box that sits above the aquarium. Any leak, and the water just spills back into the tank.

Hi tried making this canister filter but water from the tank is not coming into the canister filter. Can you please suggest to me what to do? I didn't add a valve? What's the use of the valve? does it help to create pressure and help the canister to suck the water from the tank?
Valve toh pani rokne ke liye h bhai jab pani saaf karte h Bhai tumhare filter m pani isliye nhi aa raha iska boht hi simple sa reason h 1st container air tight nhi h 2nd apne is video m dekha honfa pehle unhone pura filter m pani fill kiya jis se siphon ban jata h Aap intake pipe m siphon banao aur sidha filter m connent kardo kam hojayenga
You need to do it backasswards. The pump on the bottom and the in let on the top, that way gravity works with you, as the pressure needs to pust the material through the filter then the pump pushes the ‘clean’ water up. What your are doing is okay but the pump works harder.
It's setup like this with most bucket filters. This is to ensure no dirt that collects at the bottom of the filter (due to gravity) gets sucked out into the tank.
Some people think they know everything. Many (all) commercial cannister filters have the pump in the filter head, that is the lid! The original EHEIM cannisters have the inlet at the bottom!! I have never seen a cannister filter that had the pump in the bottom. The cannister is exactly that, an empty can, in which filter media is stacked, usually in baskets that come with the things. Putting the pump on the bottom would be "backasswards"!
@@ianrawlings2546 I bought a canister for my 75 gal & the pump is at the bottom, all the junk runs over top the filter media & the pump pumps the clean water out.
Liked because you keep your fish soo happy and give them a lot of space to swim

The left side dirt prblm might be because of your inlet and outlet is in the same side so it might wont make the water flow high
