@vladavuckic5262 yep. I agree with that after learning more about the Badab war. Dude basically fixed one of the Imperium's biggest problems and turned on him.
Huron tried to follow the example of the Black Templars in expanding his Astral Claws Chapter to become more than just 1,000 Space Marines... Except the reason why the Black Templars get away with it was because they spread out across the galaxy in their never ending crusade which allowed them to expand their numbers as much as they want, circumventing the Codex Astartes.
If you’ve the clout, you can get away with a lot. If you’ve got no clout, someone using a bad copy of your banner can get you dead. Or accepting a Penitent Crusade. That said, there are many ways of getting by the restriction. Including having a Training Corp that is larger than usual and not part of the Scout Company. That haven’t graduated yet. Or other tricks.
Both the BT's and SW have one distinct advantage on that as well, one is based on a feral death world that is virtually uninhabited by Administratum, Ministorum or Mechanicus personnel, the other is a largely void based monastery chapter, that keeps little or no records of any of their garrisoned worlds. They are in no way under any scrutiny by any other Chapter as the Astral Claws were, nor are they bound into one region of conflict. So its easier to keep the Imperium guessing and in the dark
There was also their act of compassion in taking in the last survivors of their successor chapter the Tiger Claws which the High Lords refused to rebuild.
I dont understand how a channel can consistently put out the highest quality content in the Warhammer fandom and still be so criminally under subbed. This channel is a straight up gold mine of amazing content.
Imperium: we gift you the command of an impossible job, do it as you see fit to make sure it's profitable. Huron: You got it. Inquisition and greedy nobility. Lol, lmao even. For real Huron is one of the most prime examples of the Imperium being one of it's own worst enemies through thoughtless actions of the inquisition and unchecked nobles.
Thank you guys for watching! Sorry for how inconsistent the narration is on this one, guys! I had completely redone my recording space set-up during the production of this one and I was testing some new recording techniques. Hope you guys enjoy and that I pronounced everything correctly - if I didn't then... oh well! I have no doubt that you'll tell me all about it in the comments lol AND be sure to watch to the end to hear from my very handsome buddy, Choyer, and what he has to say about the upcoming content!
Finally a dive on Huron blackheart. Im a blood angels fan specifically the lamenters and was always curious Abt their relationship on the astral claws that became the red Corsair
The fate of the Astral Claws (and Tiger Claws) is as tragic as the Thousand Sons'! Betrayed by the Imperium they served and died for. 😢 And thus, their causes are just.
That was Amazing Huron is my 2nd favorite character and I actually run Red Corsairs as my army. Never heard the quote from the slave before. Great job definitely subbing 👍
Imperium: "PAY YOUR TAXES!" Huron: "ok" *later* Imperium: "PAY YOUR TAXES!" Huron: "can I get my supplies after?" *no reply* *much later* Imperium: "PAY YOUR TAXES!" *bloodied and exhausted* Huron: "can I please get some backup here??" *no reply* *much much later* Imperium: PAY YOUR TAX...what the fuck..." Huron: *paints armor black and red*
imagine how great of a commander huron couldve been for th eimperium if it wasnt so corrupt could pretty much become a tiny ultramar at the edge of the maelstrom. now i really hope the whole chaos side splits in two with some of th eold chapters gonig with abaddon while like iron warriors and vashtorr joins hurons empire hell would love a story with damaged huron meeting and needing fabius bile so i can enjoy both of my favorite traitors. alsowould love if they did something that forevery spac emarine that joins black legion 3 joins hurons growing army
Huron was in the right..until it was too much. Rollercoaster of a story, had never been against the inquisition as much as I was during that series, then had to rely on them. Fucking amazing writing. Arch has a great cover of the series
Interesting that they’d use Huron as a name. It’s an obsolete word from French, meaning bristle-haired. Used to refer to a Native American People and the Lake they lived by. One of The Great Lakes. Fun name to use.
I find the chaotic marines who don't really like chaos and just hate the Imperium super interesting. People like Huron and Abbadon, and to a lesser extent Ahriman.
Same here. I really liked Perturabo during the Siege of Terra, he even pulled his entire Legion from the Siege because of how disgusted he was at all the Chaos permeating everything.
It would be funny if the imperium declared him a traitor and then years later when they're losing a battle against chaos in the galaxies about to fall they come back to save their asses and said we never betrayed the imperial we just don't like them while killing demons
Great video, though I think I may be in the minority that genuinely dislikes Huron lol. I understand and can even agree with SOME of his motivations but a traitor is still a traitor. Cant wait for the Khan to return and show him why even the Drukhari learned not to set foot on Chogoris🌩
Huron’s biggest crime? Tax evasion. The war’s original casus beli was over tax revenues drying up from the Maelstrom Adjacent Resource Extraction Zone 😂
Refuses to send the resources needed to secure the Maelstrom. Sends a Crusade to destroy him instead. Lets be real, imagine if that same force had come as backup instead.
Interesting take. But that would only have reinforced Huron's position in the sector, and at that point he was already not aligning too much with the mandates of the Imperium.
Great one, impatiently waiting the further ones… 👌 @Choyer, could you add Iskandar Khayon and Leorvine Ukris as well ? Those two are famous, am sure they deserve a place as well in the list. Thanks a lot, great job as always 👍
I listened to Arch Warhammer's series on Badab and it was entertaining and educational Huron got screwed Here he is trying to be a good Imperium citizen and protect the system from all threats and the Lords of Terra show him absolutely no love I don't blame him one bit for turning to Chaos I would too Nicely done 🙂
This is a perfect channel and I am huge fun but don't you see that people mostly watch you total war warhammer videos? Please just put more total war videos here. I mean there are tons of stories can be made from current lore. Why you still insist on making videos which barely reach the half watch count like warhammer total war......
I DON'T CARE WHO THE ADMINISTORUM SENDS, I'M NOT PAYING ANY TAXES!
*Administratum. You're thinking of the Ministorum.
Don't edit your comment or the heart is lost.
Based
Ministorum"payyyyyyyy themmmmmmmm"(shaking fist)!!!!
Huron has become one of my favorite chaos characters. He had damned good reasons for going traitor.
He is not a traitor, he was betrayed time and time again, that is something which can't be forgiven.
@vladavuckic5262 yep. I agree with that after learning more about the Badab war. Dude basically fixed one of the Imperium's biggest problems and turned on him.

Space Wolves too. But admittedly they pretty much do whatever they want.

The only mistake he made was to refuse to pay the tithe. Without that cardinal sin, he would have gotten away with infinitely more
I dont understand how a channel can consistently put out the highest quality content in the Warhammer fandom and still be so criminally under subbed.
This channel is a straight up gold mine of amazing content.
i couldnt agree more. thank you so much!
A Red Corsair's hq box set would be nice. Master of the forge. The corpse master. And Huron himself. 🖤
Seeing as they are all still alive and all... I'd see it as a big miss myself if they didnt
Proving yet again that Imperial indifference and beaurocracy creates its share of enemies from whole cloth.
Imperium: we gift you the command of an impossible job, do it as you see fit to make sure it's profitable.

Wonderful narration Skrubs!! 🎉
I LOVED IT!
this one was sooooo goooood. and huron was so much fun to play. i love villains hehee
Finally a dive on Huron blackheart. Im a blood angels fan specifically the lamenters and was always curious Abt their relationship on the astral claws that became the red Corsair
ONE OF MY FAVORITE CHARACTERS THANK YOU CHOYER
Hope you enjoy the video my friend!! Thank you for watching
@@TheBookofChoyer I very much did enjoy it and I am looking forward to seeing what you make in the future
The only reward for loyalty is betrayal, Huron blackheart, the tyrant of babab
The fate of the Astral Claws (and Tiger Claws) is as tragic as the Thousand Sons'! Betrayed by the Imperium they served and died for. 😢 And thus, their causes are just.
That was Amazing
Huron is my 2nd favorite character and I actually run Red Corsairs as my army. Never heard the quote from the slave before. Great job definitely subbing 👍
This is the dude who stole a Night Lords ship and got paid in blood when they took it back. Ave Dominus Nox 😈 !
Renegades and Traitor are the most interesting Space Marines, love to see more of them...
The man just wants to be King of the Pirates! Let him live his dream!
I'm conflicted.
I can't see which one is cooler to save and make Loyalist (adding Primaris): Horus Lupercal/Sons of Horus or Mortarion/Death Guard.
Can you do Kharn The Betrayer?
If it has to be 40k, which is really cool that u do it, ya gotta bring us some eldar!
CALLED IT! YESSSSSS.
I also have to say the bastard Inquisition created this monster.
Haha indeed 👌👌

Do you want chaos pirates? This is how you get chaos pirates.
Would love to see a video of Kranon the relentless and the crimson slaughter.
*accidently wipes ass with the power claw hand.
Another tale of a Great man destroyed by the politics of his lessers.
All of yours videos are awesome, great job! Keep it up!

Heresy is heresy also pretty cool especially primarchs of the Horus heresy
This was fun and well made. Subscribed!

Nice one mate
The red corsairs act as better pirates than the drukhari.
What is that dramatic chorus background music that you play in different parts throughout? For instance at 22:40 ? It’s totally stuck in my head
Good stuff, for more detailed lore i suggest the series done by Arch
so basically the Luther Harkon of space. 🤫
This was really great to listen thank you ❤
Thanks for listening my friend!
Ah yes... a space marine that at least you can understand as to why someone would betray the imperium.
Even though its ridiculous but thats 40k.
Great one, impatiently waiting the further ones… 👌
@Choyer, could you add Iskandar Khayon and Leorvine Ukris as well ? Those two are famous, am sure they deserve a place as well in the list.
Thanks a lot, great job as always 👍
Subscribed, really like what you're making here. Out of interest, does anyone know the tune for 5:41 onwards?
Fantastic stuff!
The path to hell is a road filled with good intentions
Great video 😊
Good stuff!
Make one about the Sons of Malice pls!
Damn that’s good 👏
perfect narration as usual but soundtrack is bit overwhelming, it suprasses the narrator often
Thanks for the feedback my friend! Will keep that in mind 👌
He did nothing wrong. The Imperium should have sent him more resources.
The imperium"but we don't want too"
ALGORITHM
