Huron has become one of my favorite chaos characters. He had damned good reasons for going traitor.
He is not a traitor, he was betrayed time and time again, that is something which can't be forgiven.
@vladavuckic5262 yep. I agree with that after learning more about the Badab war. Dude basically fixed one of the Imperium's biggest problems and turned on him.
I dont understand how a channel can consistently put out the highest quality content in the Warhammer fandom and still be so criminally under subbed.

Huron tried to follow the example of the Black Templars in expanding his Astral Claws Chapter to become more than just 1,000 Space Marines...
Except the reason why the Black Templars get away with it was because they spread out across the galaxy in their never ending crusade which allowed them to expand their numbers as much as they want, circumventing the Codex Astartes.
Space Wolves too. But admittedly they pretty much do whatever they want.
If you’ve the clout, you can get away with a lot. If you’ve got no clout, someone using a bad copy of your banner can get you dead. Or accepting a Penitent Crusade.
That said, there are many ways of getting by the restriction. Including having a Training Corp that is larger than usual and not part of the Scout Company. That haven’t graduated yet. Or other tricks.
Both the BT's and SW have one distinct advantage on that as well, one is based on a feral death world that is virtually uninhabited by Administratum, Ministorum or Mechanicus personnel, the other is a largely void based monastery chapter, that keeps little or no records of any of their garrisoned worlds. They are in no way under any scrutiny by any other Chapter as the Astral Claws were, nor are they bound into one region of conflict. So its easier to keep the Imperium guessing and in the dark
There was also their act of compassion in taking in the last survivors of their successor chapter the Tiger Claws which the High Lords refused to rebuild.

I had completely redone my recording space set-up during the production of this one and I was testing some new recording techniques. For real Huron is one of the most prime examples of the Imperium being one of it's own worst enemies through thoughtless actions of the inquisition and unchecked nobles.

The fate of the Astral Claws (and Tiger Claws) is as tragic as the Thousand Sons'! Betrayed by the Imperium they served and died for. 😢 And thus, their causes are just.
Huron was in the right..until it was too much. Rollercoaster of a story, had never been against the inquisition as much as I was during that series, then had to rely on them.

imagine how great of a commander huron couldve been for th eimperium if it wasnt so corrupt could pretty much become a tiny ultramar at the edge of the maelstrom. now i really hope the whole chaos side splits in two with some of th eold chapters gonig with abaddon while like iron warriors and vashtorr joins hurons empire hell would love a story with damaged huron meeting and needing fabius bile so i can enjoy both of my favorite traitors. alsowould love if they did something that forevery spac emarine that joins black legion 3 joins hurons growing army

Interesting that they’d use Huron as a name. It’s an obsolete word from French, meaning bristle-haired. Used to refer to a Native American People and the Lake they lived by. One of The Great Lakes. Fun name to use.

Great video, though I think I may be in the minority that genuinely dislikes Huron lol. I understand and can even agree with SOME of his motivations but a traitor is still a traitor. Cant wait for the Khan to return and show him why even the Drukhari learned not to set foot on Chogoris🌩

I find the chaotic marines who don't really like chaos and just hate the Imperium super interesting. People like Huron and Abbadon, and to a lesser extent Ahriman.
Same here. I really liked Perturabo during the Siege of Terra, he even pulled his entire Legion from the Siege because of how disgusted he was at all the Chaos permeating everything.
It would be funny if the imperium declared him a traitor and then years later when they're losing a battle against chaos in the galaxies about to fall they come back to save their asses and said we never betrayed the imperial we just don't like them while killing demons

Refuses to send the resources needed to secure the Maelstrom. Sends a Crusade to destroy him instead. Lets be real, imagine if that same force had come as backup instead.
Interesting take. But that would only have reinforced Huron's position in the sector, and at that point he was already not aligning too much with the mandates of the Imperium.

New names for the I Legion, the XVI Legion and the XII Legion: Rock Angels (symbols of the Knights' Rock, the Knights' Winged Sword, Caliban's Earth Angel and Caliban's Lion-Wolf), (old) Luna Bulls and (old) War Wolves (symbol similar to the Space Wolves, but red and without fur).

Wouldn't it be better if Caliban was the mountain planet (with Knights living in rock castles) and Barbarus was the forest planet (with Necromancers living in wooden fortresses)?

Using the Angels of Absolution as an example, isn't it cooler to give the Dark Angels (personal rename: the Rock Angels) the bone color and the Death Guard the green color?

Imagine: if Horus Lupercal and Legion (except Abaddon and followers of course) had remained Loyalists (thus perhaps helping by defending Terra), could Alpharius have been the new leader of the rebellion (still embracing Slaanesh), of the fact that he is actually the first one found?
The Alpharius Heresy, how does it sound?
Maybe even Abaddon himself (the Abaddon Heresy)!

I'm still confused as to which sounds better: the Alpharius Heresy (embracing Slaanesh, the six-headed serpentine Hydra) or the Abaddon Heresy (embracing Nurgle, the Lord of Locusts)?
Alpharius because he is truly the first to be found and harbors deep resentment towards the Emperor just like Horus (with the Laer Blade that makes him descend into excess together with his Legion), Abaddon because he is the architect (with the Anathame Blade that makes him descend into corruption together with his followers).

I listened to Arch Warhammer's series on Badab and it was entertaining and educational Huron got screwed Here he is trying to be a good Imperium citizen and protect the system from all threats and the Lords of Terra show him absolutely no love I don't blame him one bit for turning to Chaos I would too Nicely done 🙂
