    I am addicted to your channel. Your patties were because your recipe in the meat preparation was perfect. I can was the chicken with lemon and vinegar which is difficult with minced meat. My daughter, who has a degree in math, said that's quite clever as she love patties. Thank you. You're motivating me to try.

  • @jason22212225
    @jason22212225 4 года назад

    I know this is a very un Guyanese thing to ask but do you guys have any idea how much calories one of this roti would have using the above roti. My mom wants to make this but I'm on a diet and I LOVE potato roti.

    • @matthewsguyanesecooking4601
      @matthewsguyanesecooking4601  4 года назад

      Hmmm Im not sure. You can possibly say it is like 1/3-1/2 cup flour per roti and about 1/4 cup potato and about 3 tsp. Oil for each. And some salt. The other ingredients don't really have significant calories (onions, scallions, pepper, geera, etc). Hope that helps a bit

    • @matthewsguyanesecooking4601
      @matthewsguyanesecooking4601  4 месяца назад

      You are probably over filling the potato or not draining it enough. That usually happens when that mixture is too wet. Also it happens if the dough it too stiff. Also if you overstuff or aren’t gentle enough when you roll it. It definitely take a lot of practice. As you saw on the video some of mine were bursting too.

    Did not know that is was because of overcooking the aloo and the water content.

  • @monasingh2519

    • @matthewsguyanesecooking4601
      @matthewsguyanesecooking4601  Год назад

      It really is aloo choka that is stuffed inside. I don’t make aloo choka with oil I usually put a little butter.
