As long as you have your console hooked up to a graphics card (and I believe HDCP or whatever it is also has to be off, at least on ps4/5) then you should be able to open obs, add a video capture device and then select your capture card. Resize it then follow all the steps in this video. I have multiple tutorials on how to setup a basic obs so follow that. Then follow the free overlays tutorial. If you dont have a capture card allowing your console to send video to the pc, you cant use obs, which is what this whole video is based on. Did that help?

No problem! As for your next question. Thats not how it works. Twitch does NOT send encode your feed then send it to obs on your laptop then send it back to twitch. OBS is meant to be used BEFORE your feed gets to Twitch. Twitch is the endpoint. Think of the flow like this. PS5 -> capture card -> obs (on laptop) -> twitch (final destination) PS5 -> twitch app (final destination) Those are the only two routes for console users I am sorry.
In the talking/gameplay overlay, what do I do if I want to add 2 more face cams besides my own? I’ll delete the chat box but how do I add 2 more cam spaces? I don’t see that option inthe stream elements overlay. I could add 2 more cams in OBS but it won’t have the frames around the two new cams
what if im on kick how can i get the widgets to work for that im also a gamble streamer and would like to upgrade my stream im willing to pay to learn how or hire some one to do it for me
Hey Mack! Good question, the moment you tagged was just a safety reminder for people to save if they messed with stuff in order for the changes to appear on their OBS screen. You didn't miss anything don't worry. I also did not go into great detail about all the changes you could do in this video because there is a lot of options. Maybe in another video I could mess around with those overlays more.
I have not tried it on kick however, the general idea is that these overlays are based on browser sources, so in theory you should be able to follow the steps and see.
You go into the overlay on streamelements, find the element you want to change on the left where all of them are listed, click on it, then look below all of them and you should see settings and other options. I show quickly how to do it with the alert box (check the chapter markers), but instead of the alert box you would just click the subscriber box or member box etc...
If you mean the alerts and features of the overlays then there should be a section on the left when you are in the streamelements overlay that has music options. Sound effects and such that come with it should be in one of the elements after you click on them.

In order to stream a console using your laptop with a custom overlay you need an external capture card and OBS. I have plenty of tutorials on how to set up overlays in OBS. As far as I know, streaming directly from a console gives you very limited options in what you are able to do. Hope this makes sense.
As for photoshop, I dont know of any free alternatives that can open psd files (photoshop project files). You can create basic overlays in canva which is free and there is a more advanced photoshop alternative called Affinity but its a one time fee and I dont know if it can open psd. Google is your best friend for this part of it.
im doing all the steps you said in the video, but for some reason obs cant detect URL and its saying page not found. idk if obs is having some issues right now, but at least I was able to download one overlay into my stream set up but for some reason I cant put in the rest of the overlays cuz its saying "this page has not been found".
You should be able to in the streamelements overlay on the left side. You need to find the element or label you are looking for and then the text should be editable. Can you make it so when you switch to a be right back scene that it mutes your mic and desktop audio?
Yes I believe so. You could also just not include those sources in your brb scene to begin with and that would be functionally the same.
Is there a stinger for the theme or no?
I believe they all come with stingers built in.
