  • I love cooking! I don't often think to film it but I love to cook fish, seafood, crabs and lobsters caught while diving, meals inspired by my travels around the world and of course bacon sandwiches, fried breakfasts, roast dinners, pizzas, foraged food, basically anything! I love being in the kitchen and creating something a bit special but my death row meal would be a cheese and marmite toasted sandwich, cheese and tomato on toast, overdone, a platter of fruits de mer and a good portion of fish and chips all washed down with a frozen margarita or two!

    I thought fish kettles are supposed to be used for poaching whole fish with the grid.

    Wait, is this a thing? a cheese and marmite toasted sandwich??? Sounds delicious. But the fish recipe is what I came for! Love

      Definitely! You cannot beat a cheese and marmite toastie. The combination is perfect - one lifts the other and they retain their separate identities

    Always zest your lemon before you juice it. Its way easier.

    Does anyone just Fish - Kettle - Water - Poach - Done, or is it always "A little of this", "the merest soupcon of that" etc.?

      Yes, but they don't make videos to entertain people ;-) Nobody watches a ten second cookery video as they can't learn. But yeah, the basic version is - boil salted water, drop fish in, take fish out, eat. I did giggle at your comment Glyn, it's true! I can't abide cookery programmes myself unless its Gordon Ramsey being an arsehole to people :-)

    If I'm from a culture that doesn't use fish kettles, would a bread pan do?

    • @Codbotherer
      @Codbotherer  6 лет назад +1

      yeah. Or a saucepan, As long as you use something that the food will fit in it's fine.
