I vaguely recall some kind of game where I thought "why would anyone play this when you can wield an entire army?" Now I kick myself for not picking it up at the time :P
Mordheim is more based on a lovely mix of Necromunda that came out in 1995, which in turn is based on another game from GW that I can't think of the name of, and Warhammer Fantasy.
That I did not know :) I have read the rules a few times and I get a vibe from Warhammer Fantasy but that might also be that I have no knowledge of Necromunda rules.
@honestminis9530 If you take the game mechanics from Necromunda and twist and turn it a bit, then you sprinkle fantasy vibes over everything and put it in the oven at 230°C for a few months and you get Mordheim. Unlike another game that also has a cult status and received some rules from Necromunda Gorkamorka, Mordheim actually did very well, considering how GW changed its whole way of thinking, fueled by various reasons
I'm so glad they didn't do a re-make of Mordheim and hope they never touch other specialist games like Battlefleet Gothic. Outside of simply re-printing the old books and made to order warband minis, GW should absolutely leave old specialist games alone. That is what they should have done with Necromunda.
25 years. Man, I was a teen when this was first released, I remember it well. Now im feeling my age!

I personally dont know anything about Necromunda but I can say that very few of the current miniatures are of my interest.
