okay after finishing the video, from the perspective of a heritage speaker this is seriously super impressive. you seem to have a very good understanding of chinese grammar and you seem to know a lot of vocabulary. I go to a school where many people study mandarin as a second language and I would say your level is definitely on the advanced end compared to them. 你太棒了, keep up the good work!
Somewhat. I’ve used language exchange apps to practice speaking with real native speakers, and I’ve gotten a lot of help from people I know such as Antoine Cantin about how to study effectively. I’ve also tried some paid lessons but they never seemed too much better than the combo of studying on my own and practicing convos with native speakers, so I haven’t done any of those in a while. Thanks!!
@@royGbiivI really appreciate it! I think vocabulary is the best part of my Mandarin rn because I have lots of tools in my passive vocabulary that I just haven’t practiced activating too much because only like 5% of my practice has been through speaking out loud (which I hope to change soon)
I probably know like 20 total, but most of them I probably wouldn’t even think to use during a conversation. Was just lucky to have one very fitting here haha
