Maybe it's so interesting to watch because you are getting to see the actors outside of the show which makes them more human like the rest of us. But they are doing entertainment sides related to their work at at time.

Loki Takahashi not bad at all. I think it’s admirable that people do not waste any meat, while in our culture we just go for the filet and dispose the rest.
I've had most of these foods but they were all cooked properly and tasted amazing. It looks like whoever was in charge of the cooking just boiled everything in the hopes of grossing them out. Kinda sad tbh because these foods are very popular in several modern cultures and seeing them prepared for gross out shock value is honestly so disrespectful. I've had fried frogs legs, herring in a variety of preparations, braised chicken feet, braised heart, sauteed liver, grilled and fried octopus, pickled pigs trotters, hogshead cheese, and fried and grilled squid. It would have been nice to see them try these foods when they're actually cooked properly.
Raw herring is a real Delicacy here in the Netherlands haha i love it, only thing i didnt enjoy so much that i had from all the foods they showed was Chicken feet, rest is really nice. But its a taste you have to acquire i guess :P
I admit that our fresh cleaned herring looks a lot better better than whatever type they are having. And has much less bones in it. But I still get responses like 'What are you, a Viking?' when I tell non Dutch people that I like eating raw herring. lol
As a french, I can tell you, what they are eating, it's basically french food you can find on the menu of the best restaurants in France. So, please, try it with a baguette and red wine :)
And they say Scottish food was all invented on a dare... In all seriousness, you gotta eat what you can and sometimes that ain't so great. Which is why alcohol was so ubiquitous in beverages. In all unseriousness, the cook is what you eat when what is being presented to you is so badly made. I know the point was shock value but geez that looked dire. Congratulations on the show, Good Sir! I'm looking forward to it!
