      Thanks Bernardo!
      There's so many amazing artists to study! I love all the classic stuff too, but I find it's more interesting to investigate lesser known geniuses :-D

    Really enjoyed this lesson--very fun to play. Also the Barnett/Vile Lotta Sea Lice album has been on repeat in my house...would love to see you take on one of those songs with the trading lead/rhythm guitar parts

      Yeah! That record's great!
      I gotta poke around on it and see what pops out as a particularly teachable moment :-)

      It's my pleasure Chuck!

    Ah! I'm so happy you've put up some Courtney Barnett. I've been proclaiming this album to people for a while, tons of juicy guitar all over this album. Please do some more! Also I love this goddamn channel. Cheers from Toronto.

      Thanks! Yeah, that whole album is great! Genius lyrics, free+unhinged guitar solos, chunky rhythms - it's one of my new faves! I'll definitely be investigating it further for lessons (☞゚ヮ゚)☞

    Courtney Barnett's "Scotty Says" would also be a great lesson as it, too, has some awesome riffs. Thanks for your lesson. Well done:)

    Love your channel! Any chance of an analysis of Robert Quine's playing? (On something like Matthew Sweet's "Girlfriend", for example.)

      Oh yeah! I gotta figure out some of his work! Another great anti-guitar hero! I'll add him to my list!

    You deserve a lot more subscribers and viewers, excellent demonstration and great song choice as well. Gorgeous Mustang too!
    Any recommendations for a good capo? Coincidentally I also play a Mustang, but I have no idea which capo to get that doesn't throw your tuning out of whack too much.

    • @EricHaugenGuitar
      @EricHaugenGuitar  7 лет назад

      Thanks! I assume your Mustang is the classic 7.25 radius, in which case I recommend the Shubb 7.25 radius capo. Those flat ones won't work very well on these curvy vintage fretboards!

    • @MisterJawaman
      @MisterJawaman 7 лет назад

      It's a '67 so I assume it has the correct radius you mentioned. I'll check them out, thanks for the advice!

    which key do you think this song is in, when i look it up i find its in C#, but my teacher says it could be G#, but we are playing a G#7, if it G# was the one chord we d play a major 7 right ? And for the "walk up" part there would be notes that are not in either of those keys, idk im confused

    • @EricHaugenGuitar
      @EricHaugenGuitar  2 года назад +1

      Oh yeah it's totally G# *rock mode.*
      Watch out - lots of times people will add whatever notes they want to a basic key!

    Do you ribbon mics for home recording Eric?

    • @EricHaugenGuitar
      @EricHaugenGuitar  4 года назад

      Yeah!
      I find ribbon mics to sound the most natural, and smoother in the top end.

    Hey Eric! love your videos, i know this has nothing to do with the song you're playing, but do you think you could do a video for Hobbies Galore by R. Stevie Moore?

    • @EricHaugenGuitar

      That's a cool tune! I haven't heard of that dude, thanks for the recommendation! I'll add him to my list!

      Thanks man! I've got a somewhat eclectic taste in music - I'm always keepin' my ears open to find new or old stuff that I haven't heard yet! A bunch of my friends told me about Courtney Barnett and she's really great!
