@@blackrambo6291 But like the video says in English. He knew Ndebele and was not a versed in English, which he did not have to be at that time, as Ndebele was the language spoken by him and his people.

Mzilikazi was a friend of Moffat and his son grew up having white people visiting their homestead and them doing likewise , most probably made friendship with the children of Moffat,so this notion that Lobengula could not speak English to me doesn't hold water ,do u know Lobengula could ride horses? He was an experiencced negotiator having handled several different white groups that came in his kingdom for mining rights .One thing that used to bring a lot of tension among the Matebele people was his closeness to whites and his whiteness in behaviour...to me the documents were forged by Rhodes and Rudd to give Zim away, not this lame insulting" sold the country for a bag of sugar "story, Lobengula could see through all the shenanigans of Rudd and Rhodes that is why it took long for Rhodes to get the concession and it tested Rhodes's Patience..so
immediately after the concession the forged documents were on the way to England he had already known that he was tricked..the document he signed was not the document send to Queen Victoria,he dispatched his emissaries to the British crown to plead his case, that he did not gave such rights/ concession ,and Rhodes through his connections delayed Lobengula's team.
